job:
The soon to be famed architect by the name of Ustad had final returned to the home that he had built for himself after finishing up his first job. It had been close to a month since the fledgling construction worker had built his home in the inner rings of Merridia. His first job only took a day or hard work but he had been constantly looking for works before he got to that point as well as trying to find suitable providers of materials that he will be in constant need of as he does his job.

His first job ended up being quite a bit more of an annoyance then he had first expected it to be. He had found an establishment in sore need or being repaired but the owner was not home at the time so he had no choice but to break in and handle the repairs without the foreknowledge of the owner. Once the owner had returned he was quite miffed that a man he had never met let himself in and was now charging him for repairs he did not want. Ustad had not understood why the man was upset for that or for what he found underneath the floor of the house which caused the man to go on the offensive. But the architect was able to handle the situation with great care, only mildly injuring the valued customer before taking the money he had requested prior to the altercation.

Now he was home finally and could start to figure out how to get his next job. Ideally he would want to fix that palace and turn it into something significantly better but that would require connections that the young man did not currently have nor was he likely to ever gain such connections.

Rest is something that he had come home for but it would also turn out to be the one thing that he would not be capable of finding. When he entered the residency he would hear the instantly noticeable of a shoe stepping on shards of glass. He would look and see something that all architects become full of dread at the site of. There was a large crack that went from the base of the wall up about three quarters high and the window next to it had been shattered, most likely from the same stress that caused the crack.

Ustad would frown as this would fill him with concern. When he had made this structure he had made sure that the foundation of the earth and ground was strong and stable, not shifting and soft like marshland but the hard earth he needed. There should be no reasonable explanation for why this type of damages had appeared in just a month from the birth of his first and so far only child. Trees made up the majority of this area, even being used as the base for most structures in this country but he had made sure that the nearest would take years of growth before it became even remotely close to causing any harm.

He would walk out and go look around for the source of the damage and would find the last thing that he had expected. The closest tree had seemed to grow exponentially in a month which defied everything that the man had known about nature and the growth process of most large flora. Though he did remember that this land was barren for the most part when he left to learn how to become an architect. Is it possible that the flora in this country were made by magic and as such grows quicker due to such a creation process?

He would sigh as he got an idea of a workaround to fix this but it would affect the would design and flow of the architecture that he currently had made. That and he already knew that it would just be a temporary fix until he had to do it all over again. But it was that or just make an entirely new structure and he did not currently have the fund to build another personal structure so the temporary fix would have to do for now.

This did give him insight of future structures that he would make regardless of the location. He did not take the surroundings into account and this most definitely would reveal that there are other things that he most likely did not take into account. This was a mistake made on him being inexperienced and still learning how to make blueprints and his own architecture. If he had expected the accelerated growth of the nearby vegetation then he would have made the structure entirely different and now his first child was suffering due to his oversight.

He would spent the next couple of days gathering supplies before he would begin the needed reparations to the establishment that he had breathed life into. He would start by marking about three meters of the walls length with the crack in the center. Then he would go to take his hammer and start to slam it into the wall. It would take all day for him to destroy the wall and clear away the rubble. The next few days after that would be him making the materials for the walls and putting it all together. He would go with an angular concave shape about 5m in hoping to give enough space between them and the ever growing tree, removing the window port entirely. He went with two walls instead of three because he thought it would be less word but also more structurally sound then with the three sides.

He would then apply the finishing touched of cement on the outer layers followed by his own blend of plaster. Hopefully this fix would last a couple of years at the least but only time would tell. He would go back to his office like room to immediately begin planning his next path since this is what he considered to be a “good time”.
