Architect for Hire (Job/Plot)

The architect that would one day stand as the superior of his trade was currently finding himself in a difficult situation. He had managed to build himself his first building as well as a place for his home and office but there was a resulting problem because of this. Material for construction was rather pricey and he went a bit above and beyond in the design of the architecture and interior so he had burned through all of the money that he had previously saved up during his apprenticeship in the country of Balbadd. So what that meant was that he was going to have to start advertising his jobs as well as stick to a bunch of small jobs at first. The problem with big, full on construction jobs is the fact that he would have to front the money for a lot of the supplies and workers until the architecture is done and he gets paid for all of his expenses. So now was time for him to spread word of his business.

He has quite a bit of spare wood from when he was working on the interior of his first child but while it was not enough for construction purposes it would be good for advertisements. So He would turn the wood into about 20 signs that would say “Hammer and Chisel Architecture construction and repairs” it would also have directions on where to find him and his business. He would then spend the next several hours going across all three rings of the city in Merridia in order to spread the news of his business as much as he could. He would nail the wooden signs to trees, posts and even people’s homes that he did not like the design of and thought the sign could at least improve it. This would not harm the architecture of the homes though since he would make sure to hang them in a manner that did not require nails, sticking them to the walls more so then puncturing them.

After this he knew that it would not be enough still and that he would have to spread the word even more so for his business. So now he would be going up to random people on the streets and telling them briefly about his business and what he offered. At the moment he was just offering small repairs or fixes instead of making entirely new structures. Another thing to top off all of this was that Ustad hated talking to people so he would avoid it as much as he possibly could so this was a huge pain for him. People would clearly be put off by this man who seemed to look anywhere but them and was obviously not happy to be talking to them so it would be uncertain if this manner of approach would work or not.

Once he was done he would head home and focus on what else he can do as well as other possible ways to make money if this falls through.
