The elderly, golden magician would find himself all alone once again. This was because he decided that he wished to learn a few new spells and he was not the type that liked to create magic for the first time with an audience. So in order to work new spells he had found a forest that seemed to have little to no foot traffic so this is where he would focus.

About a year or more back, back at the beginning of the political conflict in Kina that led to a massacre, the magician of muscle had learned how to incorporate the light type of magic into his spellwork. He had one spell that utilized this but it seemed to be kind of a common sort of magic just used to inhibit the sense of sight. He wanted to better incorporate light so that he can use it rather to create illusions or to possibly even further inhibit the sense of sight in various ways. Yet for now he resigned himself to focusing on illusions.

So for this first sorcery that he was thinking of would need to work on confusing an opponent so that they do not know which incoming attack is the true one. If the old man could increase the odds of an attack landing then that could increase the odds of him having a quick battle. While he could probably handle a sustained conflict he was not particularly suited for it at the moment so he needed some spells suited for small quick battles which he was expecting to see quite a few of. This experience comes from his battle with El in the Palace when it was a small short bout between two people instead of a drawn out conflict with multiple entities.

For this particular illusion, it would be made specifically to match his physical combat form. Since he had gain the combat form he has been focusing on physical attacks more than his magic. This was fine when he was fighting cannon fodder but he needs to use all of his strengths and not rely on just pure power and brute force. So this is one of many soon to come solutions to this problem that has surfaced to the old man. Using light he can create illusionary limbs that can make it difficult to tell which limb is the true one. The fists will be above and below his true fist but with this being an illusion his opponents will most likely be wary of if he will use the same position each time despite the spell not switching up the positions. The first was the true illusion while every use after it will be more of a gamble for both of the participants.

The magician would begin just by trying to create one arm. His first attempt was shaky and barely visible while the second attempt was just an elbow and missing most of the arm entirely. The first day of attempts would meet various results that were similar in the outcome. He was never one to be confused for a prodigy unlike his twin so new spells always took a while for him to learn. He was still quick but it took him three days till he had a solid illusionary arm coming from his shoulder just above his real one.

It would take only 2 days to get the illusion to cast two copies simultaneously WIth each cast he would shout out the words"phantom fists" since this was the activation phrase. This would prove to be quite simple than the initial illusion mostly due to the fact that the illusions where just copying what his real arm was doing the exact time it acts. It would be much more difficult to cast and control if each illusion was doing it’s own thing.

While is was far from a finishing move his first spell was now done and he felt he could use it successfully. Now it was time to start focusing on the next illusion.

He would rest for a couple of days before figuring that enough time had passed for him to go ahead with his next move, his next spell. This one would be quite a bit easier to think of since it was similar in a way to the illusionary fists move that he just created a few days ago now. This was going to involve two types of magic this time which is the main factor that made it different from the fist spell. While he wanted to focus on close quarter combat with magic mixed in he needed to make some distanced moved as well. While this was using two types it was not something that could be considered a combination magic that Silva understood to exist in this world. Instead he was just using two magic types independently that used their unique factors in tandem.

For this spell, the magician of aged years would use lighting and magic for the base of this spell. He would create two streams of electricity that will shoot out in a rope or whip like fashion towards the target. However, where the light part of the spell would take place would be that one of the bolts will be an illusion created by the light type magic. This is so that the elderly magician could attempt to increase his chance of landing a successful blow into an opponent. He had plenty of experience with lightning by this point but was still quite a novice with using light magic.

The assassin turned teacher would start by creating the stream of electricity that would shoot out in a horizontal arc up to 10 feet before scorching a tree in front of him. Silva was not happy with the aim of the spell so he would spend the rest of that day working on it wanting to perfect the easier part before trying to work on the more complicated task.

It would prove much more difficult for the talented magician to create an illusion of electricity that was believable. Unlike with the limbs he made illusions of, electricity is a source of pure energy that is constantly moving in a countless manner of ways. Trying to replicate this unpredictable pattern of movements would take a full week to be able to get something remotely realistic. Yet by the end of the week he was able to make a second bolt of electricity purely from light magic. The rest of the spell, casting both proponents simultaneously would be the most simple part as he puts the finishing touched on the spell.

The old man would smile to himself as he feels accomplished with the things that he was capable of achieving on this splendid day. He would go ahead and leave the forest as he makes his way back to the home of his apprentice that currently served as his own personal residency for the time being. Once back he would rest as he had used up so much energy from training and creating new spells for the past two weeks.
