It had been days since the people of Meridia traveled to the marshlands and battled back the verdant king that had risen within their borders. Scorned as his march was interrupted, he faded into the depths of the river.
For a day, no one had seen him. Yet as the smallest shred of safety fell over the heads of the Meridian people, the veil was snatched by his reappearance. Such an impasse called for action, to drive this king from their land for good.
A missionary appears before the empress and those who would have joined her as they convene by the rendezvous point at the first bridge. There is a gilded mask fastened to his face that he removes, revealing his tired expression.
“Empress,” he spoke, placing his hands together and bowing his head as he turned to face her. Then, to Menat. “Princess.”
“The creature has been spotted roaming the river near the bridge ahead. My subordinates are planting traps in his path to attempt to stall its movements but I’m afraid they won’t hold for long.”
He smiles, yet it does not hold in his worried state.
“I pray for you, the princess, and your company to have a prosperous battle. But please, keep your wits about you. The river has changed. It is… not like it was the night before.”
The man turns to make leave after another rushed bow to excuse himself, aiming into the canopies of the myristica trees. Vines that snaked down from the treetops were leverage he used like a rope until he was but a shadow before the moon. The rustle of his movements faded as he disappeared into the blackness of night.

- Job Name: The Verdant King: Aadav
Job Rank: A-tier
Job Location: Meridia
Job Reward: 500 XP | 30,000 Huang
Job Prerequisites: Must be an Affiliate of the nation, have a plot with a member of the nation or have a justifiable reason to do this job. Post here to take on the job, there will be only thread and it caps at 4 players.
Job Overview: Long ago, in the plains near the southeast there rested a kingdom that lived in peace. They were not violent people, they reveled in an agricultural utopia where the people lived well with the world. They built sprawling cities that focused on religion, prayer, and honing the body. They believed living with the world meant changing with it, becoming adaptable to what dangers would come.
During a time of great change, a king known as Aadav would live to guide his people to prosperity. It did not last for long, they say within three years of his rule a drought began to plague the land. He hunted and searched until he found a magic watering can that could fix all of his plights. Though during his time something dreadful came, a great conqueror who wished to claim the known world. When Aadav returned home he had faced this man.
He battled day and night, for a week they fought. A man who knew nothing but peace had learned violence, a rage unbeknownst to himself had awakened. The battle was one and the undefeated conqueror retreated, dying of disease. The mighty king of Kushar as it was called had died protecting his people. With his death so fell the nation, and the people returned to nomadic ways.
Now the Verdant Maharaja has risen again, wishing to claim the jungles that now persist. A kingdom like his own has arisen, but one that wages wars on those throughout the land, expanding to unite people. Whether or not his cause, he wants a land with no fighting, where the ravenous retreat. So he battles, willing to wage one last war to end them all.
- the verdant king:
- Enemy Name: The Verdant Maharaja- Aadav the Peaceful
Enemy Tier: Omega
Damage Required to Defeat: Must be killed in a logical way like a player
Description: Aadav was a kind man in his life. He ruled a land that was considered prosperous. They knew no war or strife, the only need to train the body was for balance, control of the life one had lived. So he had dedicated much of his life to that. He had love for his people, for his life. It would motivate the man known as a saint to many. He carried with him a watering can that was said to revitalize the bodies of those who wielded it. With it, he had prosperous times until a conqueror came.
His people didn't know much about fighting, but they knew how to stay strong. So he guided them and tried to keep his people safe. He stood tall and proud for his people, trying to be their joy but the throws of war would push him into a place he didn't want to be. The peaceful Aadav learned the ways of war as his people began to dwindle. He would die giving his life, to try and keep the peace. In the end, he would win, but it would cost him everything.
Now reborn with nothing but memory and body warped by magic, decay as well he is but a shell of the kindness that once stood. Now disdain, and anguish plague his heart with desires to have his land once again. Doubt and worry of the kings of the new have motivated him to try and take back his land to bring back a time of peace, rather than war.
