It was a cold night within the lands of Parthevia. Angelus were to wake from a short slumber. From outside the tent he had slept, Nerilla tended to Gaaron whom was a bit thirsty at the moment. Angelus were to set out to his base of operations within the bandit ridden land, for he could work further on his plans to conquer this long ignored and disregarded region. If someone made an effort to not only cleanse the place of crime, but work to build the economy up, this sub continent could be a very great and prosperous land. However, for a long time now seemingly, many people have brushed aside Parthevia and the cities and towns here. It was about time for someone to grow the land. While he stayed here near Parthevia, he began to start to like the area somewhat more than before. It has long since been a buffer zone to many to simply stop Reim from conquering Heliohapt though. It needed a true hero, one who was not afraid to get his hands dirty with the blood of those who opposed him, one who united everyone. Gilgamesh was his name he were to be known by, the hero of Parthevia, the hopeful King, the herculean Conqueror.

Nerilla: "I see you're up, Angelus. Ready to go?"

Coming out of his tent, he were to stretch for a moment as he adorn his bandana on his head and put on his scarf to hide his identity. It was time to mount the dungeon beast and begin to travel along one of the roads of Parthevia. It was a road that led to the base of operations of Gilgamesh and was where he were to receive his messages and conduct his plans. It was key to ensure that the territory kept on growing, for that area could be quite useful later on. However, for now his sights were on other places, such as a particular area of Parthevia that consisted of a conglomerate of towns and cities ran by a warlord. If Angelus could take that land then he may be set to take more, and could likely stoke more calls for unification of the vast Parthevia sub continent and Reim due to the proximity. It was a very highly calculated thought out plan, but Angelus had to ensure he could cover for every possible hole in his plan and execute this properly. Angelus had to be truly careful.

Angelus: "Yeah.. You can lead Gaaron this time."

Said the man, wishing to ponder to himself while on the ride. Angelus were to mount Gaaron behind Nerilla, and during the ride, perhaps an hour in, they out of nowhere came upon a tipped over cart that looked to have belonged to a trader. Why is the cart turned over though? It must have been abandoned, but how come? It was quite an odd thing to find here and Angelus scratched his head, inspecting the cart very carefully with great caution. It could have very well been a trap, but looks like the cart had truly just been left here with some loot inside. Angelus were to loot the valuables and food, thinking of the loot as useful enough to use for the base they had set up just a day ago now. Now with the loot, they just continued on.

It was on this particular night that gales of wind were to blow through the land and tug gently upon the long lush white locks of hair of Angelus. Bright stars twinkled high in the sky before the trio, the warrior, the ranger, and the Marax creature that carried them. Solemnly, the young leader looked deep into the vast distance which lied unclaimed in front of him. How far must his evil go for he could bring the west together and for other evils to be erased from existence? Angelus pondered on just what awaited someone like him. It was quite tough to think of what may come to him now that he had friends that were dear to him, such as Nerilla. It is too scary and daunting for him to imagine. Angelus were to clutch the green haired woman before then saying something to her that had begun to unveil what he was thinking to her. It was perhaps Angelus' worst nightmare come true. Angelus had began to want to protect and care for certain people close to him, the one he wished to care for most being Nerilla. However, the young man had ambitions he could not ignore.

Angelus: "Hey.. You need to be careful.. Do you remember what happened when we were fighting Argus' men?"

Said the concerned rebel leader.

Nerilla: "You need to be careful, not me, Angelus!"

Responded back the woman, making a point that he could not rebut.

Angelus: "I guess so.."

Murmured the defeated Angelus, scratching his head. Anyways, with more loot, they were to be a slightly bit heavier, though the dungeon beast they rode upon was not very weighed down. In this dark of night, as they kept on to their destination, they were to begin to discuss what their plans were to be for not only this region they were in but for also the nation they came from. It was crucial to figure out the details for these types of matters, for this were to dictate how they should go about reviving the Empire. It is so complicated, and there were only so many ideas they could throw out with one another. However, the truth of the matter was that they did not know how. Yet, that did not stop them from trying with what they did know about the Republic and the failures of the politicians. It was a good idea for Angelus to try and build up soldiers here in the Parthevia region where he could not only help the people, rid of the bandits, but also have the people support him. If there came a war or battles, Angelus could have an entire other country of people behind him, including supports within his own country.

Nerilla: "Hey, you know, this is a good idea, Angelus. If this land can be conquered without the politicians knowing, we could have people to support us and we can push for unification. I am not sure how we will turn the Republic into an Empire though."

Said the green haired woman, thinking to herself.

Angelus: "It will not be easy. It will need more support from the people of Reim. So far we have displayed to the people that the Republic is corrupt. We need to awaken the people more to how weak the politicians are. We must garner more power from not just the people, but ourselves, and grasp ahold of our proud flag."

Stated the valiant nationalist. It was for the people of Reim that they fought so hard and arduously for. It was for the people of Reim that they undermined the corrupt politicians and authorities for. It was for the people of Reim that they risked their very lives every day, all to bring back the Empire, one that was for the people and was led by a reliable and proudful leader. Angelus clenched his fist, and focusing his eyes on his colossal dreams. Here within Parthevia, the military leader were to make great strides and efforts to subdue this land and slay the evil. Angelus would not let one major bandit group persist any longer. Gilgamesh was to cleanse this vast land.

Nerilla: "Who is that over there? Is that a soldier? I thought there were no more soldiers in these parts."

Inquired the curious ranger, pointing at the man in the middle of he road.

Angelus: "Eh? Who is that? Do we need to kill him?"

Voiced the warrior, glancing at the man while he sat behind Nerilla. It seemed the man was no soldier though once he opened his mouth, but rather, another dirty bandit scum that did not deserve to live in this land that brimmed with potential.

Bandit: "Hey! Stop! Give me everything you have! I will c-cut your beast up into pieces if you don’t!"

Cried aloud the foolish thug who was shivering in his boots at the mere sight of the dungeon beast, Gaaron. Angelus were to chuckle a bit to himself. It was quite amusing to see this man try so hard to rob them, even when he was about to piss himself on the spot. Unamused herself, Nerilla were to let Angelus handle the small thug who truly was just a pebble in the road to the two, for the young man has slaughtered plenty others just like the thug. Unmounting from the Marax beast and grasping the hilt of his blade, he were to begin to stride up to the shivering thug that had no choice but to now defend himself from the dark eyed reaper that was now just a few meters far from him.

Angelus were to make this quite short and sweet truth be told. Clumsily, the weak thug swung at Angelus. With not much effort honestly, Angelus were to parry the slash of the man. Shocked by this, the thug was about to try and flee. However, he knew he could not run here, and was forced to take a hit, so he were to brace for a hit with his armor that seemed to have been taken by a Heliohaptian soldier. Angelus were to feed magoi to his armband and cut the foolish man on his very chest, from which blood were to gush out from.

Angelus: "Let us continue on, Nerilla."

Said nonchalantly the white haired man as his foe dropped to the floor, no longer being able to bother the two travelers. Angelus were to loot the man, and remount the dungeon beast.

It was a line of dust and debris that Gaaron were to kick up as he were to press onward with the valuables they had looted since departing. In perhaps just now thirty or so minutes, they were to come arrive to the base of operations they had set up a day prior. Meanwhile on the ride to the base, a question from the green haired woman were to come up that had been on her mind. It was quite known by the young ranger that Angelus were to do anything for his country and those dear to him but the woman wished to know how many innocent people he had to take the lives of before his dream was realized?

It was an obscure question, with no proper right answer but the young Angelus when he heard the question were to lament for a moment over the fact of fate, that fate was cruel, and nothing could change that. It was something just nobody could ignore. It was a fact that even the greatest of the heroes had to face. It meant that no matter how much good someone does or no matter how good you want fate to be, there must be cruelty that they and others must face. Angelus did not know how to answer the question. It felt like quite a weird question though for him. Why did she ask this? So far, they have only taken the lives of the evil, bandits, corrupt figures, and those akin to that.

Nerilla: "Angelus, how many innocent people are going to die?"

Inquired the woman, posing a strong moral question to the white haired man.

Angelus: "How should I know? Do you think war is pretty? That will be something we have to minimize. More innocent people are bound to die if nothing is done."

Stated the man, having had considered the innocent people.

Nerilla: "You have a point.."

Said the young woman, thinking he had a point. Anyway, they were to have begun to come to the rather lavish house that they had renovated to be the base of operations. It was quite the dark night, and a desolate and deserted town, that had been quite literally given up, for the bandits to do as they please with the houses and valuable land. However that were to continue to change, for Angelus did not tolerate the likes of bandits. Yet, there was a feeling that he himself was behaving somewhat bandit like, though he was truly only trying to secure some land here for others did not.

Once his plans with the nearby warlord were set into action, he may be able to really kick every one of his other plans into high gear. For that though he had to keep investigating the situation of Parthevia some more, and get an idea of what his rivals were doing. Angelus was a bit in a corner though, since he could not travel very far from his military camp, due to him currently trying to serve under a border watch duty to bring in refugees and ensure bandits did not seep into Reim.

Angelus: "If we want to move further in to Parthevia, we will have to get the okay to target and get rid of the bandit and warlord factions forming. If we could do that then we could begin the incorporation of the region. However, this will require a strong push from politicians and myself. It will need me to return to the capital to try and get some of this done. I am not sure how that may turn out. What do you think of that, Nerilla?"

Asked the curious soldier, trying to figure out how to move further in.

Nerilla: "I say we try and just start a social movement to unite from the cities you do conquer and the politicians that wish to unite."

Having mulled over the logistics of a Parthevia conquest, Angelus unmounted his white colored beast. For just right now, Angelus wished to guard the house they now own and ensure nobody was tampering with it nor the houses nearby. It seemed nobody else has since come. It could be that the other night that those bandits that came then told other bandits to keep off this plot of land. Anyhow though, the young man were to strut towards the door to the lavish base of operations of Gilgamesh and enter. Earrings dangling, hair swayed, and his eagle brooch on his white robes.

Angelus were to have a midnight snack that the kind woman, Nerilla, were to cook up from some scrambled eggs and vegetables. It was a nice treat before heading back out to the camp again, and having traveled back here to this base. Angelus were to eat her food, and ponder over a bit of some of his plans and information he has been receiving from refugees. Once he was done here and had formulated some plans, hen were to prepare to head back out again.

Angelus: "Okay, let us go now, Nerilla. I want to take a small detour to a nearby town here and slaughter the bandits or warlord soldiers if any."

Stated the man, wanting to help out the nearby town if he could.

Nerilla: "Alright, just be careful.."

Said the woman, riding the muscular dungeon mount onto a road that leads to a town that has been heavily pillaged as of late. It was a town riddled with the foot prints from bandits, and from the distance before they fully came into the pillaged town that wept, the two comrades were to hear loud crying. Once the two came to the entrance of the town, Angelus glanced around, scanning carefully before he were to unmount from the beast they rode upon. It may be that the crying could be coming from a house nearby. Angelus were to raise his voice, for a moment before a door to a house were to slam open. Staring over at the door he heard, he were to notice a greatly livid middle aged man who were to pull back his bow and arrow to fire a shot at the white haired Angelus. Not knowing how to react to this man who saw the young man as a bandit or pillager, he were to sigh and try to talk to the man while he defended against his shot. Angelus were to parry the arrow with his blade and try to tell the man to wait for a moment, that he was just trying to help.

Gilgamesh: "W-wait! I am just here to check on y-"

Roared out the innocent warrior as the older man tried to strike him with his spear in a quite advanced way. It seemed the man was a veteran of combat, and was one who was not shy for a fight or protecting this town. Angelus were to try and parry this one as well, but he was forced to now defend himself. Giving up on trying to talk sense into the man, he were to beat the man unconscious for he just stopped trying to fight. Meanwhile this occurred, Nerilla were to hope Angelus did not kill him for just trying to protect his town. Sighing, Angelus were to cut the man on his chest once. It were to draw blood from the man, whom then tried to then parry him as he tried to slash again. Angelus were to be parried by the man this time and be left open for a strike, but feeding his axe magoi, he were to be coated in an armor of copper which were to defend Angelus from the Unrelenting Will of this highly respectful former war hero.

However, now that Angelus survived this strike, he could now deliver a finishing blow to the war hero that fought so valiantly to try and protect his town. Angelus were to not cut him vitally but just cut him on his arm now to have him go down and faint from the bleeding. It were to make the man drop to the floor, fainting. Angelus were to wipe his axe clean, before then going to try and heal the man whom is now out cold, having lost. It was now that the young man were to explain to a child that had been watching the fight, likely a terrified daughter of the man, that the man was okay. Angelus would say to the young child that he just wanted to check up on the town to see if they were okay. Out of the kindness of his heart, he were to leave some food with the child and give the child and her mother the middle aged man's fainted body that had been healed with the use of a tool called the Pendant of Serenity. Angelus wove goodbye as he climbed back onto the mighty Gaaron, and rode out into the distance back to his nearby military camp.

Nerilla: "We have to be careful.. Everyone mistakes us for bandits.."
