Chapter 2:Magno-The Beginning (Plot)

The upper echelon of the Order of the Flames Reach had finally made it to their next location, the magician country of Magno. The high priestess had been tasked by a man who claimed to know about her lord and his will. He offered her power and gave her hints on where to get things related to her god and other items that will help her and her order. She was looking for items connected to her lord and a way to give power to her whole religious order, since power was a strong reason to joining a cult like organization. Also this gave the Flames Reach a chance to find more people touched by their lord and to purify the wicked ones. However, they would be attempting this with just three members starting out, Gilles, Dawn, and Husk. They currently only had only the one magician so the other 70 something members were still in kou, doing the order's work there.

The trio would walk up to the gate entrance of the city while Dawn was conversing with Gilles. "Please take no offense to this High Priestess but please keep quiet while we are at the gates. As we have discussed before, you and Husk are part of my entourage and wok for me. I will than be tested to prove that I am a magician and we will be allowed to enter as long as everyone behaves. " Gilles would nod as they walk up to a magician and a man with a large warhammer in his hands. The large man would raise his hammer and bring it down upon Dawn just to have it be blocked by a borg that the masked magician makes. with this the magician known as Dawn and his two associates were allowed into the city-state that was Magnostadt.

Gilles grinned as she entered the city, excited by everything that she was seeing. This country was clearly unlike any that she had ever seen before. There were so many people here as well, mostly magicians but that was what made this so exciting. This country is full of knowledge and power that just needs to be tapped into by the right hands. She could not wait to get started bringing the word of her lord to this faithless country. She would look up to see that she had accidentally wandered off from Husk and Dawn and was now lost. She would begin to walk around trying to see if she could find her two companions, no luck. She couldn't have gotten that far away from them could she? An hour or so later she would end up finding herself even more lost and sitting on the curb of a street. She did not know what to do, she could not believe that she had not even been here for a day and she has lost her underlings. She was not sure how she could even find them now. The obvious reason was to start a massive fire around in this area, but after the whole fiasco she dealt with in Kou she thought that it would be best to lay low on the fires for now until she could actually back up her actions with some kind of other force besides herself. She could go to the guards or magicians but that would also risk drawing too much attention to herself. She was sure that her news of the Pale Lady from Kou had not arrived here yet but she could not take that risk.

"Are you okay miss? You seem lost and sad." a young female voice would say to the high priestess. Gilles would look up to see a girl with long brown hair that was in a pony tail. She was in a long flowing dress and looked to be about Gilles's age, perhaps a year or two younger. "I am sorry for bothering you but I saw you and thought of how pretty you were with your doll like skin and your incredibly pale hair. And you look lost so I was wondering if i could help you. I have a spare room you can stay in, food to keep you filled and I have men that can look for people if needed for you. I am Minthe, pleasure to meet you miss." Gilles would smile hearing this, it was great news! This girl was willing to help a complete stranger, could this be a miracle? Gilles would stand up and bows, "It is a pleasure to meet you Minthe, I am Gilles the high priestess of the Flame's Reach. I am glad to take the help that you offer. I had lost my two companions and am not sure how to find them again. You see I am new to this country, I just got here."

"Oh that is wonderful! YOu must come to my home and tell me more!"" she says cheerfully, Gilles would smile and nod.  "Yes thank you miss, I accept your offer." The two girls would then leave, heading to a large house in a nicer part of the city. Once there Minthe would have her servants wash up gilles and get her dressed in a fancy red dress that was Minthe's. Once that was done she was escorted to a large dining room where his host was with a table full of food. "IF you are wondering I am the daughter of a merchant. Our family is not the most powerful or largest group of merchants in magno but they did have some notoriety and power with other of the small, old merchant families of Magno. I am also the head of the Sephone family due to my parents untimely demise." after this they would continue talking as they eat. As she was taking a drink she would begin to feel woozy before losing consciousness entirely.

She would wake up finding herself in a dimly lit room, her arm chained and a meat hook in her armless shoulder so she was suspended in the air. In front of her was Minth who was wearing a blood soaked apron with a wicked grin on her face. "Oh good, you are awake! It is so much more fun when my dolls are awake when i play with them." She would says as she moves closer to Gilles, "You see miss Gilles, I left a small detail out. You see I have a hobby of collecting dolls like yourself, I play with them and use my magic to patch them up and help preserve them, thanks to the fact I am also a magician like my father." At the mention of this she would cast a spell that lights up the room revealing a bunch of women who had glassy skin and were all missing limbs, eyes and some even missing all of the skin, nothing moving besides their eyes screaming for help. "Now that you have seen my collection lets begin with the play time." She says pulling up a table that was lined up with various knives and other strange looking instrument. She would pick up a small skinning knife grinning. "You have such a pretty pale skin, just like a dolls. You wont mind if I take it do you? bad dolls like you dont deserve such beautiful skin like this." She would take the knife to gilles arm and start peeling skin off the arm. The high priestess would start screaming in pain as the girl keeps skinning her arm. Once she had fillet the entire arm she would stop which was when the priestess would look at her "No no no dont stop! You were doing so good and just getting to the fun part. Keep going!" The torturer heiress would look confused and upset at this. "What are you doing? Stop that! My dolls arent supposed to enjoy this, I want to hear you scream my doll." Gilles would laugh, "Hahahaha What can I say, getting hurt feels so good, and you are definitely skilled at causing pain." Minthe would see gilles as a broken doll that needed to be disposed of so she was about to drive her knife into Gilles heart. Gilles hair would move almost as if on its own, wrapping around Minthe and begin choking her. "You just had to go and ruin the fun didnt you? " She would sigh, frowning as her hair would free her from the restraints. "You know, your pain was nice but it was missing something from being true pain, let me show you true pain." She would say, reaching into her dress and pulling out a cowl that she puts on her head grinning."Cyclone of fluttering wings! she would shout while forming her hands into the shape of a bird. THis would create a cyclone of small birds that were made of ice. These wouldnt kill Minthe but it would cover her whole body in a series of small cuts that all together would cause an antagonizing amount of pain to the magical merchant. Minthe would scream out in pain as she was attacked by the birds. This was the first time that she had ever felt pain in her sheltered, pampered life, it..it was amazing! She could not belive that taking pain could be almost as good as giving pain. She would fall on her knees begging to gilles "P..please dont kill me miss! T..this pain you have given me, i want more of it please! i will do anything you ask, i will even give you the power of my family's merchant company! The high Preistess originally had no intention to let the girl live but the mention of loving the pain and offering her allegiance intrigued her. "Fine, But you shall have to work for it before i give you more pain. You shall also cast aside your name and become my Dusk." she says grinning. Her and her new companion would then return upstairs where they would discuss the order of the flames reach and gilles plans in Magno.
