Even without sight, it was obvious to most that the Jade Dragon mountains had been hit with high rainfall as of late as on most days the drops of rain hit with enough force to be heard from within Ani's private chambers. Under these normally depressing circumstances, most would choose to stay inside and wait for the bad weather to pass. However, Ani wasn't like most people as the blind woman was busy readying herself for the day. The room would've been silent had it not been for the pounding rainfall and Ani who seemed to be hastily getting dressed as if she had somewhere to go. It would make one wonder, but for Ani and Kor, they both knew where she was going. Her son was resting in her bed holding onto a pillow as he snoozed, though she couldn't hear him as Ani slipped her jacket on she leaned over and touched him finding his head before kissing her child on the head as he woke briefly only to doze off again.
"Momma will be back soon, this is gonna take some time, but this will be apart of my daily schedule for awhile." She spoke mostly for herself, but her half-asleep son would give half-hearted nods as his head was rubbed. Ani couldn't see her boy, but she knew how peaceful he was when he slept and couldn't help but smile to herself as she slowly got up with a final soft pat on his sleeping head. "Sleep well, my little lavender lad."
As the door closed to her room her world becomes a single path as she followed the steps she had every day towards the entrance of her fortress. As she is stopped by her boot hitting a wooden door she knew she was there as the rain's furious beat had become a wall of noise in front of her. Taking a moment she breathed in deeply as she pushed out into the drowning world before her. When the sounds of the outdoors hit her ears she was soon greeted with the sound of her soldiers who were running to put stuff away or to get back to their barracks so they could wait out the storm. Though they all knew that the storms had been happening every day for the last week they hadn't been sure when they were going to stop for some respite. While some of them had seen Ani as she walked outside, those who were surprised didn't take the time to ask why their commander was coming out in the rain as they were all too busy with their own preparations.
Even without seeing it she knew the rain was coming as she took slow steps outside until finally, she was washed over with tiny bullets of freezing cold water. For most, it would send them inside shivering, but for Ani and her Imuchakk blood, she found this just as good a time to train as any other.
"Well I guess I used to dance in the snow back in Imu, I guess this is just a different version of that." Ani chuckled as she walked until she felt the stone pathway give way to mud. As her feet sank into the ground with a wet plop she knew that she was in the training grounds part of the courtyard. Her feet shifted to the side as she got herself in a stance and began repeating a mantra. "Feel the world around me."
As she seemed to be moving her arms around her in the shape of an invisible sphere, her bubble as one could put it. She seemed to keep doing this as if she was getting a feel for the space around her. After a few minutes of this, she pulled her arms to her waist and clenched her fist as she took another deep breath. Ani's earring started to float on her ear as suddenly her magoi started to flow from her body into the metal vessel. The star of Solomon would begin to glow intensely as it began to radiate and reflect off the bouncing rain. This gathered the attention of anyone left in the rain as they all heard her call ring throughout against the fortress walls echoing into the dismal stormy sky. "Brandish, Gamigan!"
Almost as quickly as she said it her earring suddenly unclipped from her ear as the glowing metal began to warp and grow behind her. Within moments the glowing light was shaped into massive arms floating behind Ani. Feeling the arms taking shape she suddenly flex them both as the light would be instantly blown away as the weapon finished forming. Hearing and feeling the rain drip and fall down her metal arms she took a moment to stretch them out to catch the rainfall letting it pool in her palms. The first step was to get used to her arms. It had taken her time to attune and learn the djinn's power for her to get just these arms and she was determined to push it even further. While it wasn't clear how to get there she was adamant that if she mastered her Djinn's weapon it would lead her to figure how to fully cloak herself in her Djinn's power and achieve a full equip.
"Let's see what these bad boys can do." Her words to herself having become a habit when she trained, originating from when she would rant often to Hoyo whenever she was training in the past. As she lifted one leg into the air she suddenly put all of her strength as she crouched on a single foot before pressing all of her force against the ground. In an instant, the Azure Amazon had leaped from ground level and was suddenly soaring into the sky carried by the pure force of her leg strength. Even without her vision the feeling of soaring through the air, and the feeling of her weight shifting around was something she was very familiar with. This training wasn't for her balance, she already had that trained to the point that her body had an internal gyroscope keeping her in control as she hurtled upwards before she started to fall again. As the weight of gravity began to tug her down she quickly shifted to be upright, but as she felt she curled herself in a ball while her metal arms suddenly extended out to cushion her fall.
While most people would wait to feel the impact of the ground against their skin as they fell Ani was lucky that she wouldn't have to experience that familiar sting as her motion was suddenly stopped with a loud crunch. Her test had been successful as she felt suspended in the air but felt the cool, wet, and hard ground against the palms of her weapon.
For Ani training had always had a methodical approach to it by force due to its mostly solitary nature, except for the few times she learned martial arts from another it had always been up to her to figure out a plan to get stronger. So as she felt the ground under weapon she began to move her hands forward like they were legs. It was no problem for her to keep her balance, but it was important for her to feel the djinn's power as if it were a part of herself. With each step, she took a breath and would pace around in a circle for a few minutes before suddenly pushing off the ground and sending herself soaring through the air once again. In this world of darkness, the only things she could be sure of was what she experienced and felt flowing through her body. In terms of outer sight her eyes may have been closed, but through her insight, her inner eyes were more open than ever. It might've been odd but she was sure that feeling out the djinn and its power would be the best way for her to truly grasp it.
After she had spent a few hours practicing walking around the courtyard and feeling out her control as she would wildly swing and punch the air. All her thoughts were focused on her thoughts and her feelings as she let her magoi fill her body, fill her vessel, and let the feelings she had felt back in the dungeon take control. It wasn't her first time doing this, but it always had a fresh experience as she felt the feelings of burning cold and freezing heat overtake her arms. As she thrust her arms forward with another punch waves of ice and fire blasted through the air. Not only could she feel this at her knuckles but she felt it in the air around her and heard it as the ice either hissed as it dissipated, or clunked as it dropped like pellets on the ground. With another twist of her hips and pump of her arm, she felt the magic flow through her once again as she sent out a heatwave from both hands this time.
The air around her had started to become a fine mist as she had spent time switching between waves of heat and waves of cold creating something akin to fog around herself. Feeling the moisture on her skin as it hung around the air Ani had also felt that her energy was starting to run rather low. Thinking about herself and the weather around her Ani had decided that it was about time to end her training for the day. As she clenched her fists and let out a long breath she stopped her flow as she let the energy dissipate and the form of her weapon as they condensed back into an earring clipping onto her ear as the process was ended.
"Well that was good, but that was just day one." Her comment to herself was a reminder she gave herself out of excitement and eagerness to grasp the form and power of the djinn. "Mm, though a meal with Kor will be a great way to end this day."
As she left the courtyard she wasn't the only one who had left, as some of her soldiers had been watching from spots farther away as not to worry their commander as they watched her. For most of them, it was out of curiosity about her power, others were just bored with daily routine, and even some just had nothing better to do. However, the one thing that was common for Ani and her soldiers was them all leaving to answer the dinner bell.
For Ani and them this would start to become a routine of sorts for the next few days, Ani would wake up and feed Kor, then she would go outside and equip her weapon before practicing her exercises and getting more of a feel for Gamigan's power as she would unleash waves of heat and cold. All the while her soldiers would be watching on the sidelines during their own training or even during their free time. Finally, after a few hours of training Ani would go back inside to have dinner with Kor who had spent his day with Ani's beasts and assistant who occasionally brought him snacks or outside to see his mother during breaks.
It was on a day completely different than the first that her regime started to shift towards a different direction, the sun was out and shining over the mountains without a cloud in the sky and the temperature was just perfect. Usually, there was always some sort of active weather so as Ani made her way outdoors on this day she felt surprised by her lack of being bombarded by some sort of water. It seemed as if it was just a normal day as she made her way to her spot in the courtyard, the distance has become ingrained in her muscle memory at this point as she soon enough stopped. However, instead of her normal exercises, Ani had shifted herself into a standing meditation stance. As she began to breathe in Ani's vessel began to glow and then as she breathed out it formed the giant metal hands moving to match her other hands during meditation.
While the peace of darkness had never left her the peace of experiencing all around her and all within her soon overwhelmed her as she let her magoi flow through her. Her grasp over the fundamentals had gotten higher as she found herself working to wrap herself in the djinn's magic. It hadn't been much of a lesson but back when she had first met Yaku she had learned some small lessons and worked to have Gamigan's visage, his ideals, and his power wrap around her as she let her magoi flow through herself and into her vessel even further. It felt like hot and cold was wrapping around her and at first, it felt as if she would soon be consumed by it. However, soon enough as she stretched her metal arms outwards she had noticed that her funneling her magoi had instead created a cyclone of heat and ice around herself.
The use of her energy had indeed drained her, but Ani couldn't stop her training for the day until she felt like her lack of energy would send her comatose. After letting the cyclone disperse the king candidate would once again focus her thoughts on equipping fully as her magoi once again began pouring into the vessel. Once again she felt fire and ice wrap around her, but she attempted to pull it closer to pull it into herself. At first, this started to work as part of her body started to glow and gain parts of the djinn's visage, but as she felt like she could pull it together it suddenly snapped and she felt drained. It seemed she was pouring too much Magoi into it as she moved off to the side to rest before continuing her training.
As Ani leaned her back against the wall she heard the sound of soldiers going about their day, it had been peaceful and Kor had just gone down for a nap moments ago as Ani's assistant stuck her head out the door just to whisper to her facts about her child during the time she had been busy. "Thank you, make sure to bring him out before the day is over, I'd love to play some games with my boy."
Following her wishes, after a few more hours of training Ani moved the rest of the day towards playing with Kor until it was time for dinner. Though it was meant to be a more relaxing day Ani had instead chosen to move part of her training to night time where she could meditate and ruminate upon her thoughts. Once her child was fed and tuckered out she put him to bed before returning to the courtyard once again. Instead of just going to weapon equip and then trying to go further from that Ani started to attempt to go as far as she could at the very beginning. As her magoi filled her vessel and flower through her she imagined it like the Djinn's magoi was flowing back at her. With a deep breath, the light spread from the star of Solomon to her vessel, and finally, it began to wrap around her as she imagined like Gamigan was being wrapped around her. It felt like her body was changing even further as the feeling of arms started to sprout from her back. However, this was to be a small taste as she felt herself losing control of the equip once again as the light shattered like glass and Ani began to pant tiredly as her energy left her with it.
She would've kept going for the day, but her confidence in how it was going combined with how much of her energy she actually drained made her decide resting was the better option. As she got herself ready to go back inside she went over the day in her head once again, it seemed that she had slowly been figuring out how to coat herself in the essence of her djinn but she wasn't distributing it right yet. Maybe it was because she was blind or maybe it was because she had spent time learning to manipulate magoi but she felt like it was getting easier every day and she could truly feel it as a part of herself. With that thought, she turned to walk back inside each step echoing into the night sky as it had slowly taken over the landscape behind her.
Once she was back inside Ani had made her way back to her room where Kor was quick to run over to her and climb up her so he could hug her tightly. "Heya Kiddo, I missed you too." Ani spoke hugging him back as she kissed his head before soon smelling food. "Ah, Zahra brought us dinner already I see."
With a healthy and hearty dinner, Ani was quick to fall asleep that night with her child atop her. However, unlike the other nights, Ani had a vivid dream like that of when she was pregnant and like the months after Ronove. This night her dreams were filled with landscapes of Gamigan's dungeon and the lost souls she had met there. Instead of hellish torment though it felt like she was remembering what it felt like when Gamigan had chosen her and the strength of her convictions. The familiar feeling of ice and fire wrapped around her encasing her like a cocoon before finally she suddenly woke up back into darkness.
It was that day Ani felt a bit more confident as she had even brought Kor out with her after they had breakfast. Of course, he was on the sidelines with Zahra holding him, but nevertheless he wanted both of them to experience this. Ani let her magoi flow through her and let it fill into her vessel mixing around and slowly she let it all spread back onto her like a wave rolling in as the tides rose. It was like it was mixing and settling until finally, it felt like everything had suddenly fit into place.
"O' Djinn of Heroics and the Damned, take my magoi and my conviction as material. Forge me into the great weapon of destruction, Brandish, Gamigan!" Each and every one of her words was filled with the power and conviction she had felt in Gamigan as the words resounded in her head and soul. It was at this moment her bell seemed to ring in resonance as it glowed with the star of Solomon even seeming to rise almost as it brightened. Whirling fire and ice wrapped around Ani a vortex as it slowly reigned as two arms burst out larger than Ani's normal ones. Then suddenly, another set of arms and another with six arms in total she suddenly flexed outwards as the fire and ice burst from her frame in a massive wave. In all its glory she was wreathed in the appearance of the Djinn which Kor would find familiar as he looked at his mother in awe, and while she couldn't see it she could feel the power connecting through every cell of her body.
