~Yakuroro's Legacy~
Yakuroro's Legacy Tumblr_nrefti0G5X1rbdq9lo1_250

A half-Imuchakk magician born to a superstitious village in the far reaches of Imuchakk's northern snowfields as Yaku. Ostracized by his clan and branded as a "demon" when they failed to understand why he could hear the voices of the rukh, Yaku was branded with a mark and exiled to wander the ice sheet to find death at a young age. But instead of an ending, the child found a teacher and years later he returned to his village with newfound mastery over the basics of water magic.Rather than revenge, Yaku returned to his village seeking to find his place. The young magician proved to his people that magic was not the work of evil by using it the ease their burdens. But the warriors were not convinced. Yaku earned their respect by hunting a rampaging unicorn which he brought back to the village for a feast. In addition to the acknowledgement of his village, Yaku was given his adult name, Yakuroro.Yakuroro took the horn from the rampaging unicorn and fashioned it into a staff before heading out on a journey feeling himself to be guided by fate. His travels first took him to Magnostadt where the half-imuchakk was discriminated against. Clerks skeptical of the halfling made sure his application to the academy got "lost" leaving Yakuroro hanging out to dry with quickly fading travel funds.Fate presented an opportunity with the first dungeon, Marax, which raised nearby while Yakuroro waited for an academy admission that would never come. Intrigued by the mystery of the new structure on the horizon, Yakuroro ventured forth into Marax alongside another young magician named Zadi. Together, they explored the strange and mysterious dungeon until the found themselves before the Djinn of Mischief and Deceit, Marax. The Djinn chose Yakuroro to be its king and granted him and his companion its riches. In the aftermath of Marax, Yakuroro did not use its power to garner fame and instead hid his status as a dungeon conqueror to all but his closest companions. Over the years his journeys brought him to every region across the globe. Wherever he went, Yakuroro would use his power of illusions and trickery to do good deeds in the shadows.Following what he believed to be fate's guidance, Yakuroro rooted out criminals from Kou, smashed pirate ships in Balbadd, fought and defeated the usurper King Lagi El Nagi in Reim's coliseum, and on Heliohapt's blackest day Yakuroro used Marax's illusion to restore hope to the people. Alas, during the second Kou invasion of Reim Yakuroro was shot down with a curse magic arrow by Emperor Gao of Kou.Yakuroro survived the ordeal after months in a coma, but his survival came at the price of those dearest to him. Wrought with grief, Yakuroro fell into depravity coming to curse the fate he had let guide so much of his life. In his darkness, Yakuroro sought power and so he entered other dungeons. When he failed to capture the first, he latched on to the one who did and followed them.Noir was not the first of Yakuroro's companions, but she would be the last. He taught her how to use her newfound Djinn with the intent to use Noir in his personal war against fate. The two entered the dungeon Renove together in order to grasp even more power. Blinded by the darkness of their own hearts, Yakuroro tried to murder another dungeon challenger at the same time as Noir. The student he had sought to take advantage ended up accidentally ending Yakuroro's own life in the confusion. The world's first dungeon conqueror was lain to rest in the soil of Heliohapt, his corpse left buried and preserved in a coffin of ice left behind by Noir. The majority of his rukh is lost from the great flow, but a small fragment remains in the possession of a young chimeric child named Yakutetsu. But other than this illusive child and the memories of the few who knew him, nothing else remains of this wandering King Candidate or his tale.
