Spoiler:

It had only been two days since Yakuroro saved a village on the outskirts of Zou from a plot to wipe out most of the villagers and steal the departed's belongings. Two men named Maxio and Sahiir had manipulated the villagers into splitting between two factions, the Wu and the Choqin. After pitting the two group against one another, the men were going to pillage the town for all it's valuable goods and bind the remaining survivors into slavery to be sold on the underground human market.

Their plans would have succeeded had Yakuroro not passed through the village just as things began to escalate. After defeating them he learned that they were part of an organization known as "The Brotherhood of Ash" which had a headquarters in Reim and a main base located in the Jade Dragon Mountains. The past two days were spent wandering the south western part of the mountain range in search of the communications base Sahiir told Yaku of under threat of losing a limb. Apparently this base was used to co-ordinate organization operations all throughout the Eastern continent. However despite Yakuroro's best efforts he still had not found the cave they were allegedly hiding in. The blue haired giant flew through the air with the help of the flying carpet around his waist scanning the valley and cliff faces for signs of the hideout but it was getting late and he was getting hungry...

There would be no point in searching after the sun set and dusk had already fallen turning the sky a vibrant orange and casting much of the valley's in shadow. Realizing the futility of a night search lest he wanted to waste magoi producing light with Marax's Djinn Equip, Yakuroro decided to listen to his stomach and descend to the valley floor to start searching for some dinner. Capturing a few rabbits was an easier enough task thanks to a handful of traps he'd set earlier that day, but starting a fire was a difficult task for the magician. It was times like this that Yakuroro wished he were a Red Mage, however after enough effort he was able to hand start a campfire.

The fire crackled and gave it's warmth to the surroundings freely, something Yakuroro was thankful for as the night air had a crisp chill that would have frozen him to the bone had his flame crafting failed. The Blue magician cooked the three rabbits he'd captured and finished eating two of them. Yaku was about to start on his third cooked critter when suddenly the familiar sound of a stick snapping nearby caught his attention.

Yakuroro turned his head and tried to peer past the obscured veil of darkness with his deep blue eyes however the light from his fire only reached so far and actually made it harder to see to a point as his eyes were less sensitive to the dark. It was probably just a mountain creature but this also meant it could have been a fearsome beast drawn in by scent of Yakuroro's dinner. After trying to spot the source of the sound for a bit the Imuchakk finally gave up and turned his attention back towards the fire roasted rabbit on a stick before him. Taking a bite out of the juicy well done meat, Yaku shifted in his seat on a felled log and held his staff ready in one hand just in case he needed to cast magic on a moments notice. Unfortunately the man who was sneaking up on him was more cautious after almost being discovered. The blue magician would be oblivious of the stranger creeping up behind him until it was too late and the pommel of a dagger was slammed into the back of his head.

Yakuroro fell to the floor as a concussion wrapped his world with the darkness of unconsciousness...

A throbbing head ache woke Yakuroro as his eyes slowly peeled open to find only shadow and darkness before him. There was a foul rag tied around his mouth which tasted of blood and sweat and his hands were bound behind his back. The Imuchakk's legs were also secured with a pair of rusty chains and from the feel of it, similar bindings were what kept his hands behind him. With his physical strength it would have been a simple matter to break free but he knew not who his captors were or if they were watching. If he tried to escape then it was possible a set of blades and arrows would be upon him far faster than he could event understand his surroundings. Instead of breaking from bondage Yaku wiggled around until his body turned to see light coming into the room from the cracks of a door way. He made some muffled shouts and tried to make noise by shifting around in hopes that someone would show up and help him understand the situation.

"Sounds like the giant is awake, go tell Marrick." A man said from the other side of the door. A few minutes later and the sound of foot steps would lead up to Yaku's prison.

When Yakuroro heard his captors call for someone he maintained his false shouts to keep up the appearance of a panicked prisoner, but his actions were calm and smooth. The Imuchakk's large body rolled onto his back as he brought his knees up to his chest before bringing his arms around front. With his hands no longer tied behind his back, Yakuroro sat up with his bottom resting on the back of his own legs. The blue magician was seated facing the door with his toes firmly planted, gripping the stone floor so he would be prepared to leap at a moments notice after a simple shift in his weight and center of gravity. If need be, he could jump forward tackling his way out of the room but for now Yaku needed information so that would not be his first reaction.

As the footsteps approached the room Yakuroro let his muffled voice go silent as he painted his expression with acted fear. The door to his cell swung open and dim torch-light spilled into the room revealing that it was carved out of the earth. They were underground. The man holding the torch was a young man with raven black hair wearing leather armor and a pair of daggers at his waist. "So you're the 'giant' that's been snooping around outside? Who are you? What are you doing here?"

Yakuroro was perfectly capable of lifting his own hands to remove his gag so that he could answer the man, but the Imuchakk's arms did not move. Instead he began to speak through the gag producing only obscure muffled noises forcing the man before him to remove the disgusting cloth himself. With the sweat and blood laced gag removed Yakuroro let his voice crack a bit to further support his fake fear as he replied, "I-I'm a magician from Magnostad. I was looking for a rare species of bird for researching chimeric life magic...P-Please, I've done nothing wrong! Don't throw me in the imperial prison!" Of course Yaku already knew that these men were not with the Zou imperial army, but they didn't need to know just how informed he was.

"You won't have to worry about that. We're going to sell you into slavery in a few days so just sit tight and enjoy the stone mattress." The man said with a wicked grin before turning around and talking to the guard posted outside the door. "That staff he had means he's probably telling the truth. Don't let him get his hands on anything that could be used to cast magic."

When the man named Marrick turned his back on the blue magician Yakuroro's feared visage settled into a calm confident smile. While it was true they would do well to keep an magical mediums out of his reach, that was far from enough to seal the Imuchakk's options. It didn't matter if these were really men working for the brotherhood of ash or if they were just thugs hiding out in the mountains. Threatening Yakuroro with a life of slavery was enough to convict them all as guilty of being people who should be stopped. The Imuchakk muscles making up Yakuroro's body flexed as he tore his hands apart wrenching the old chains that were binding them apart. Yakuroro's feet gripped the earth and kicked off the inside of the mountain sending his body rushing into Marricks back in a brutal tackle which would push the rogue into the hall and crush him against the wall. The force of a giant Imuchakk slamming into him would shatter his spine and break his nose against the stone walls along with part of his jaw. A follow up head butt from Yakuroro smashed Marricks skull against the wall even harder leaving the mans face horribly injured but at least he wasn't dead yet.

The guard at the door was surprised by the sudden large beast of a man crushing his boss like a bug, but he had enough training that his body moved automatically. By the time Yakuroro had smashed Marrick's head, the rogue behind him had drawn his daggers and plunged one into Yakuroro's right bicep cutting through muscle and flesh as pain shot through the Imuchakk's body. Yaku grit his teeth and turned around grasping the guard's head with his massive hand before squeezing so hard that the mans skull turned red as if he were a cherry about to burst under the pressure. Yaku jolted his hand violently while holding onto the strangers head causing a concussion. The blue magician let the man's body drop before looking around at his surroundings.

Looking down the torch-lit hallway Yakuroro could see that there was a dead end to his left and a path to his right. Yaku winced at the pain in his right arm as blood streamed down his muscles and had already reached his hand. With nowhere else to go he reached for Marrick and grabbed him by the head before prying his face out from the wall, "Where are the rest of your men? You work for the brotherhood of ash, right?" Yakuroro didn't even look at Marrick as he spoke and simply dragged the beaten bandit behind him as he strolled down the hall. Marrick tried to speak but all that came from his shattered face were groans and mumbled moans. The Blue mage ignored the man's suffering and made his way to the end of the hall where a door awaited. The entrance opened into a large chamber with enough supplies to support a small rebellion. Weapons, food, gold, all the finances needed to arm a small force to take over a country from the inside out. This was definitely the right place even if Marrick was too injured to admit it.

There were three other men inside the chamber however Yakuroro was not in the mood to deal with these small fry. The Imuchakk smiled in a disturbingly friendly manner as he tossed the men's leader into the room so they could watch his limp body skid helplessly across the floor. The blood dripping from Yaku's right hand fingertips showed them he was injured, but this would do little for their morale in the face of what was to come next. Yakuroro rose his left hand into the air and a shining light began to glow from his metal vessel.

"O' Djinn of Mischief and Deceit! Let my will bend reality and grant me the power to fool even the wise! Dwell in my body and let your power be unleashed!" Yakuroro donned the Djinn's power and his body became engulfed in blue flames that burned away to reveal the dark and sinister armor of Marax. Six gleaming eyes on a face of baleflame now pierced a gaze into the hearts of all three rogues as Yakuroro brandished Marax's great sword. Despite the fear the men felt, they still moved to attack the monster now before them one using Slice n' Dice while the other used Bloodletting. Both attacks would have been a problem if Yakuroro didn't have his djinn Equip but the power of the dungeon changed everything. Instead of clashing with them men Yakuroro used Marx Vanish to disappear before their very eyes before flying upwards toward the center of the domed chamber's ceiling.

The attackers would find their blades hit empty air and the monster they'd seen vanished, but only from their sight. A spray of blood streaming from one of the men's backs made it clear that his presence remained in one form or another. The armor the men wore was hardly able to protect them from the shimmering jagged blade Yaku cleaved into the next man's torso. The last man was simply tackled against a wall and then held up by his throat. Still invisible, Yakuroro demanded to know the location of their leader. After a brief interrogation the Imuchakk would learn that the local Brotherhood of Ash leader was a high profile VIP in the Zou Imperial court. This had just became a bit more complicated...
