1 Dark places [Social|Jahan|Jingyi] on 04/09/17, 09:07 pm

It was another humid day but it seemed like storm clouds would soon roll over the nation. Jahan was particularly happy about this because of the damning rays of the sun blasting his body, sweat rolled down his cheek and he become more agitated.

"Can you walk any slower?"
Jahan yelled back at his companion. He had been traveling with the group of warriors, magicians and adventurers who found him. Having no home or access to his money left him in the hands of their good grace. Even so his patience was burning thing, the sun setting his body ablaze. Jahan needed clothes, he had only but one outfit and that was far too out of the ordinary for traveling in Kou.

Jahan was already far out of the ordinary as he was a King Vessel who wore his metal vessel. A beautiful and ornate Crown entirely forged from a jet black material. This confused a lot of people, or attracted a lot of thieves but Jahan didn't care. It was against his integrity to remove his crown just so people wouldnt be alarmed, he was a king and if he was to rule this world he would surely have to show it.

"JINGGGG"
He called complaining in an almost childlike manner. They were hiking along the mountainous region trying to reach a village on the other side of the hills. Jahan was a picky man and what little money he was able to lift from his fallen comrades would be spent on something to fit his tastes.

Soon the sound of thunder erupted and a light shower began to rain down on them. However the lightness wouldn't last very long as the wind began to pick up the strength of the storm came with it. They would have to find shelter standing out in the rain would not be the best move. Especially considering the length of the journey. Jahan would run back to grab Jingyi by the hand and sprint up the mountainside, looking for shelter.

They came across an opening along the edge of the mountain, and Jahan would peer inside of it. He saw only darkness but it was nice and dry darkness not wet, cold and sickly light. He made his way within the cave pulling Jingyi behind him.

"We'll take cover here for a while" Jahan said to her "Try to let this storm pass"

sing her hand a shield, Jingyi glanced up at the sky with furrowed brows. It blistering sun was still beating down upon them in an almost unbearable way, but the rolling clouds promised a cool break. While the redhead was somewhat used to the heat that was typical of Kou's seasons, even she had to admit that it was getting a tad unbearable.

Looking at the rest of the group she seemed to travel with, their opinions of the weather wasn't too pleasant either. Agitation seemed high, especially with a man by the name Jahan. The yell aimed at their company drew Jingyi out of her thoughts, her gaze wandering to the crowned man in question.

He was an odd person to her. Not only was he foreign, he wore a beautiful crown that glittered darkly in the sunlight. Jahan's headpiece reminded her of an exotic prince's crown. It wasn't like those worn by Kou's nobility that Jingyi could see, but Jahan wasn't from this nation either.

"JINGGGG"

Motioning to Dullahan to follow, Jingyi sped up her pace to a trot so she could catch up to the man. But a boom of thunder froze her in her tracks, her body jolting in surprise. Her red gaze glanced inquisitively at the skies, brows furrowing as fat raindrops began to pour down. Jingyi quickly raised her hands above her head, fingers interlocking in a futile attempt to keep some of the water off her.

Jingyi hadn't realized that Jahan had run back for her until he had grabbed her. As he began to tug her up the mountain path, the girl tugged herself out of his grip and continued jogging up the path alongside Jahan. The soldier was the first one to duck into the cave, Dullahan trotting in after his master. It was much darker within the space, but it was considerably dryer.

"Sounds good to me. It wouldn't be good if we got washed off into a ravine," she commented offhandedly, her fingers running through her already wet hair. Jingyi turned her gaze to Jahan before looking at Dullahan, the Ferrum Capra giving his woolen body a good shake to rid itself of the water that clung to it. "It should pass over the mountain soon."

"Right", Jahan agreed as he watched the large Ram like beast shake itself dry. Water from the animal splashed Jahan to his dismay and he wiped his face before noticing he was also drenched. Already sick of the second hand garments and even more so sick of how dependent they made him feel he quickly pulled the shirt off and threw it to the side. The rain had began to pick up its chorus now, as the sky opened itself.

Curious of his surroundings Jahan explored a bit deeper into the cave. He came close the edge of of the small space, and it led to a dark cavern. Jahan couldn't make out a thing from the inside of the hole until a roaring flash of lightning lit up the cave. In that flash Jahan saw a narrow long cavern which appeared to be man made.

"Wow! Jing this thing is pretty deep" he called back to the woman as he walked backed to the opening of the cave. The small shelter created from the cave could only be 15 ft in either direction. It was damp, cramped and rather dark. Jahan sat on the ground near Dullahan eyeing the beast but for moments before stretching his arm out and stroking its fur.

Jahan began to hum a tune to the beast, the sound Jahan produced was light and warmed. It was a listless melody. The melody was soothing and airy and began to dissipate stress and anxieties. Jahan was trying to connect with the beast if only just a bit by exposing his tenderness to the animal. Jahan wasn't worried about being harmed by the beast because he felt like he could communicate to it. Somehow he felt as if the animal may be able to understand something deeper than words, but the tender and gentle nature that  Jahan was capable of.

He removed his hands from Dullahan's fur coat and rested his back against the rocky interior of the cave wall.

"Jing" Jahan began stopping for just a moment to grab her attention.

"Tell me about this world." Jahan was staring out into the storm, it was beautiful as it was humbling. With all of the powers in the world one may not be able to put the slightest of scratches on nature. It was simply the way of the world. The Trees would bend and sway to the call of the wind, and the rain poured violently scrubbing away at the impurities of the world.

The mountains which were lush and green, flourishing with  magnolia, sakura and lily were shrouded in the misty illusion of the rain. It astonished him how vast the world was, to be all the way across the globe surrounded by mountains he had only ever dreamed of. He was awe struck, curious and blessed by ignorance. Jahan unlike everyone else in the land had not been so harshly effected by the civil war. None the less Jahan was never the type to stand in the shadows and watch and wait, he was far to invested in the earth at this point. This was his world after all. It had been since his conception.

"Lets play a game " Jahan said, he was eager to get some information on the land he would be spending  a while in, even more so he was curious to learn about the girl he had recently helped. She seemed nice enough but she was made for battle, Jahan could tell by the appearance of her armor, and Dullahan and her weapons. It all made him so very curious.

"I'll ask a question, and you can ask me a question." Jahan stopped "Well I guess there has to be a winner somehow.." Jahan noticed the flaw in the game, seeing as it had no objective, then his eyes lit up.

"Whoever runs out of questions first loses."

ullahan snorted as his brown eyes peered around the cave, his left hoof tapping against the stone floor. It only took the beast a moment to decide he wanted to sit down, which is exactly what he did. Plopping comfortably onto the ground, Dulla watched as his tamer wandered around the cave before she made her way over to him.

"Yeah, it seems so. As long as there isn't anything else camped in with us, it should be a great place to wait out the storm," she commented as she undid the bindings that held her waist cushions in place. Pulling them off, Jingyi set them beside her before leaning against her beast. The goat in question glanced at her, nudging her affectionately with his snout and receiving a pat in return.

But then Jaja plopped down by Dullahan. The man would get a look from the goat, who leaned away as the King Candidate tried to pet him. There was a threatening snort, and Jingyi quickly sat up. Before her beast could shock her friend, the redhead ran her hand soothingly down Dullahan's back, calming him.

At Jaja's touch, Dullahan's ears flicked backward as his eyes narrowed. But the goat didn't do much else, watching him suspiciously. However, the goat couldn't help but listen to the soft tun, and gradually Dullahan's body began to lose its tension. Jingyi glanced at her beast in surprise, but there was a soft smile on her face. Her fingers scratched beneath his ear, earning a positive response as he shuddered happily. Perhaps the attention from the both of them was doing the goat some good.

Leaning forwards, Jingyi put her cheek against Dullahan's cheek and wrapped an arm around his neck in a sort of embrace. She gently scratched at his wool, curling it around her fingers in a way that was comfortable for Dullahan. At her name, the girl let go of her beast with a final pat. Her red gaze drifted to the tanned man, watching him stare out the cave.

"I'm not too sure about the world, but I can tell you about Kou," Jingyi offered as she pushed herself to her feet. She moved closer to Jaja, taking a seat by him as she looked out. She sat with her knee propped up, her body leaned back as she watched the rain pour down.

At his proposition of a game, Jingyi's smile perked. It didn't seem like too bad of a game, and it would be nice to find out more about Jaja. "Sounds good," she answered with a slight chuckle as Jingyi turned her attention away from the scenery, "I'll start. What was your favorite childhood memory?"

"Hmm" the question resonated in his mind bringing back bittersweet nostalgic memories to his mind. Jahan had grown up under the care of his fathers war buddies. Some days he would live in fine houses others not far from the slums. Jahan's pride was born through his need for indifference, he was different a foreigner with monstrous strength. Suddenly Jahan chuckled as he came across the answer.

"I was raised by my family, I didnt have my parents, so my uncles would divide the task. There was a time when we were sparse for money in one household, and it began to show. So other boys who were jealous of me took it as a time to bully me. I came at them raging.."

Jahan grinned and shook his head, "Man I got my ass kicked", Jahan laughed. His memory of the moment was light hearted, "a lesson learned". Jahan's laugh died down quickly and he continued after a small pause

"So I went home to lick my wounds, my pride had been destroyed. I felt alone and weak and shamed. You see my uncles were warriors, and some gladiators after. and my uncles for some reason...Which is beyond me.. They bought me gold necklaces and rings. It was money from a deathmatch in the Coliseum."

Jahan understood why his caretakers did that after such a long time but he still couldnt fathom it. For them to have went out of their way. To mend his confidence.

"They told me, 'Niko, you are worth as much as ten of these children.' Dont be swayed by the will of sheep."

"Then they just embellished me. I knew that some of my guardians were better off, but they are also prideful and probably didnt want to ask each other for help. Regardless the next day I left my home feeling anxious but confident and when I ws confronted I was brave. I was brave because I had to be brave, I wore their honor."

The pittering of rain slamming against the rock and earth produced a washing noise as Jahan finished his story. Their was a silent second and then Jahan spoke, "I guess its my turn now? he said. He began to look at Jingyi, he examined her body and armor and face and eyes. It was as if he was looking for something deep within her soul. He blinked

"Why do you fight?"

ingyi raised her knees, her arms wrapping around her legs as she listened to the man speak. Her chin came to a rest on the top of her knees, head turned so she could watch Jaja as he explained his story. Red eyes fluttered to a half-close, her soft smile curled on her lips in a gentle expression. The smile seemed to widen at the laughter, all too knowing of the feeling of receiving a lashing and slinking away to mend.

As their conversation lulled, with Jaja falling quiet as his story came to a close. The only sounds that could be heard were the falling of rain. Waterdrops hitting the ground in an off-tempo song that could only be played by nature's nimble fingers. It had a charming effect on Jingyi, her mind drifting to watch the storm outside their shelter. But the silence only held for a moment, breaking as Jaja piped up.

Her body shuddered at the question, the soldier sitting up as her legs stretched back out. Painted lips pursed together as Jingyi regarded her answer, her gaze shifting from her hands and over to the tanned man that sat close to her.

"I come from a remote village that's surrounded by mountains on one side and water on the other. It's very quiet there, peaceful and calm. For the longest time, my clan, the Hou Clan, has resided there. To the extent of my knowledge, we've always supported the military," she began, her voice beginning at a soft tone as Jingyi did her best to recall her family's history. "As you can imagine, combat is our way of life. The only art we know is that of a blade. How to wield it, how to make it a part of your body, and how to survive. Your place in the clan is determined by your prowess," as Jingyi spoke, her gaze would wander away to stare out of the cave. Her red eyes were downcast, her smile still gracing her face as memories of her childhood were brought to the surface.

"But it's more than just that. We're brought up with a sense of code. Of honor, loyalty, respect, and pride. Stupidity corrodes your talent, wrath hides it, and a life without companionship will only hinder your heart and mind. I suppose you can credit my clan's beliefs for why I fight," at that, the redhead would clear her throat with a slight chuckle. "I want to make them proud of me and my accomplishments. Their hearts will swell, and their heads will be carried high when they see me. Not only that, I want to protect my family. Even if I have to do something I don't want to do, I'll protect them as they protected me."

"Hm." Jahan nodded as he took in the gravity of Jingyi's history. It was a suiting story, of a family of noble warriors pledged to the country. Though something about it made Jahan uncomfortable, maybe it was the difference in their minds. The nature of their sword was completely different.

"I only fight for myself" Jahan stated. "My will may be that of the people... Though ultimately I only understand this grand design."

"People use people, from the relationship between a king and its military, and the people and their kings. For a just ruler to rise, or any ruler worth his weight in gold; he would need to have a strong will. I suppose thats our difference."

Jahan paused between his somewhat cryptic speech. Trying to find a proper way to express himself.

"I could not serve anyone. As honorable as you may be, your sword is trivialized beneath the military. You will blossom when you fight for your own vision. I respect that Jingyi"

Jahan often contemplated his status as a King Candidate and what that meant, though for the most part he was focused on keeping his head clear. The morale implications with honor and righteousness were a big basis on his entitlement. Honor was why he felt he was Emperor. He was chosen to rule this world.

"You forgot your question though Jing" Jahan said teasingly

ingyi's gaze was kept on the scene before them, watching as the forest bent to the will of the forest. Her shoulders drooped slightly as her body leaned back as if she were taking in the full picture. Once Jaja began to speak, the girl's red eyes flickered back to the man, her head cocked to the side, causing locks of red hair to fall over her shoulder.

"Ah, I understand what you mean when you say that, Jaja," Jingyi began as her eyes met his. There was a pleasant smile on the girl's face, her eyes reflecting the warmth of the expression. "Any figure of power needs to show power before his troops. He cannot entirely rely on another because such would only be a weakness. One that the people around him would exploit in order to take over."

She was looking back at the torrent of rain now, her eyes half closed with thought as she regarded her words. The words Jaja spoke struck a cord. Sometimes she couldn't help but think that her potential was being wasted as a simple soldier. Jingyi's lips pursed together before the woman offered him a slight shake of her head.

"If that's the case, it shall certainly change in the future. It's pointless to say that I need to find own vision for I know it; I'll become a general. Hm, that sounds nice, doesn't it? It may not be as lavish as a king, but alas "Great General" sounds pleasant on its own." Whilst she talked, Jingyi's red eyes seemed to light up with excitement, the hand at her side curling up into a fist.

At the statement, the redhead seemed to pause. A sheepish smile slowly formed on her face, her shoulders shrugging as if she was saying "sorry about that". "It would appear so, but don't worry! I have one." Jingyi leaned forwards in her "seat, legs crossing Indian style as her elbows came to a rest on her knees. "Let's go with this. What is your most frightening experience?"

"Frightening experience?"Jahan repeated to Jing Yi a bit lost on the idea himself. He had not ever truly experienced fear, and what of it he had experienced in the Dungeon as he claimed Gremory. Jahan tapped his foot racking his brain. The king was truly an odd man, he was confident in himself to a fault. There weren't many things that made him anxious or fearful.

The first memory that came to Jahanghirs mind was of his experience on the Dungeon and to which he spoke.

"My fear was stirred within an illusion in the Domain of the Djinn Gremory." Jahan explained to Jing Yi.

"When I was tested to be king, I placed my crown upon my head. I cant simply explain it, as it is beyond my human reasoning... but I know I was pit against a fierce battle, one that would fell my life. It was during this that i felt the most fear in my life, a fear that I would perish."

Jahan finished his tale without batting an eye, he was complacent with the events of his dungoen. He had made peace with his failures, even if the peace was temporary or surface level. A silence filled the cave except for the pattering of rain falling angelically. However the soothing sound of rain would be overpowered by the crash of a thunderbolt. Jahan whipped his head to the mouth of the cave, as the bolt came careening down at lightspeed slamming into the roof of the entrance and shattering layers of rocks. The rocks rumbled loudly, and the entirety of the cave shook for a single moment. The cave entrance was sealed in the flash of an eye, and Jahan quickly ran to investigate.

"No, no no!" He said, upset at the current situation. He was supposed to be going shopping and he was very interested in the style he had seen in the various areas of Kou. This was the absolute worse, if getting wet was bad enough. However the situation was only becoming progressively worse. The mouth of the cave being sealed it was only time until the rain water would build into the caves bed and create a pool of water rising from the deeper bit of the cavern.

Jahan returned to Jing Yi, with a grim face.

"We're trapped" he said plainly "I could try to blow the mouth of the cave open, but my attack is very powerful... Im not quite sure I can control my power in this state, I may bring the foundation down." Jahan had a hint of worry within his voice, as he was well aware of the risks. So he crossed his arms in wait of Jing Yi's opinion.

f you have one," Jingyi confirmed, shifting so she sat with her legs crossed. Resting her elbows on her knees, she quietly watched Jaja think to himself. From the way he fidgeted, it would seem that he was having a difficult time thinking about an occasion. It wasn't all too surprising, honestly. From what she had seen of the "King" so far, he didn't seem the type to get scared easily. Anger might come easier to him, but not fear.

However, everyone has their moments. Jingyi couldn't quite understand what it felt like to know that you could very possibly die, though the notion is frightening enough. To know that your goals would go uncompleted, to be left in the dark about what existed afterlife, to have to leave your friends and family behind. Simply to fail the goal of keeping yourself alive.

Shaking away the thoughts of death, Jingyi's attention fell to her hands. She ran her thumb over her nails, her smile lifting as she thought of her next question to ask- what was a dungeon like. But her process was interrupted by a fantastic roar of a thunderbolt. The sound jolted her, her heart spiking as the woman naturally looked towards the only exit they had. Their glimpse of the outside world disappeared behind a curtain of dust and debris. The very cavern itself seemed to tremble at the power of the lightning bolt, disappearing as the last of the rocks settled.

Climbing to her feet, she watched the cave as if her gaze alone would compel the wall to fall away. She raised her eyes, glancing at the roof lingering above their heads. There were faint lines crisscrossing the rocks towards the mouth of the cave, speckles of dust raining down from the cracks from nearby thunder.

"As you said, you're likely to bring the roof down on us before we escape. Nor could we dig our way out, for all we know those rocks could be holding up the front of the cavern for now. There's also the possibility that there's a hill on the other side of the barrier..." As Jingyi spoke, she found her gaze wandering to the other side of the cavern. Her head tilted, brows furrow in thought before she began to walk. "Let's explore the cave, if there's nothing better then we can try the front as the last option."

Jahan nodded and paced straight passed the woman into the depths of the jet black cave. The inner chasms of the cavern were small windy and damp. The air in the cavern produced and unsettling breathe, and as Jahan would walk through it he placed his right hand to the wall. He would follow that as a sort of guide in effort to prevent getting lost. Jahan's adrenaline was beginning to stir he was excited for whatever lay before him on his path.

However the aspiring world conqueror would begin to worry about his companion on the journey.

"Jing, stay by my side." Jahan commanded. Jahan's tone was strong and maybe even awkwardly authoritative but it did inflect his concern for the woman's safety.

"If you leave with me, you come back with me. So you better not lose my side" Jahan said a bit more daringly in a way to taunt their drastic circumstances. If anything he wouldnt allow himself or anyone to feel defeated early on.

The situation would change as they travelled deeper into the cave and the storm would rage on outside. Jahan and Jing would come to a layer of cave above a large reservoir of water. The cave dangerously slopped downwards towards the underwater portion of the cave. Jahan would stop as he felt his foot grace dangerously over the edge hitting air. Jahan would step back and cast his other arm to the side to block the route from Jing Yi. Jahan's eyes narrowed.

"We are above a drop." Jahan said clearly. "Any further and we're dead" as Jahan finished the sentence another bolt of lightning would drop from the heavens, striking the surface of the caver causing the entire thing to shake violently for a moment. The ground would slip from beneath the two as they stood sending them plunging into the abyss.

he cave was gulped in undominated darkness, the air growing stale as they walked. Jingyi felt Dullahan bump against her side and raised her hand to pet the beast's head in return. From the way he pushed against her, the beast-tamer could tell that he was scared of the situation. He clearly didn't want to venture further into the cave, but Jaja had already passed ahead of her.

After giving a final scratch to Dullahan's chin, Jingyi sped up her pace to catch up to the Fanalis. The goat had no choice but to follow, his comforting presence becoming known as Dullahan pressed against her once more.

"You don't need to tell me twice, Jaja," Jingyi responded, her free hand catching onto his elbow to ensure that she didn't lose the man in the darkness. By now he was just a dark blob in the shadow, and the last thing they needed was to be separated. "I plan to make it out of here, so don't worry about me."

While walking deeper into the cave, the sounds of the raging storm were quietly replaced by a different sound. By straining her ears, Jingyi could faintly make out the near-silent sound of a gentle, lapping water. Despite the fact that it should have been soothing to hear, the noise only created a feeling of unease. Her grip on Jaja's elbow tightened as her movements became tenser. Jingyi's apprehension only intensified when the cave's scent became damp, and flecks of water dropped from the ceiling.

Were they approaching a source of water? Did that mean that they were trapped between a pool and a landslide of rock? The worries manifested as a choking ball lodged in her throat. Too consumed by the thoughts of their situation, Jingyi didn't realize that Jaja had thrown out his arm until she walked into it.

She staggered back briefly, her grip on the man releasing. Her gaze naturally dropped, and the woman noticed the incline that they had traveled down. Now she could clearly hear the water lapping against stone, Jaja's warning fading to the back of her mind. Before Jingyi could even suggest running back, furious lightning struck the earth. Its anger shook the cave, turning Jingyi's legs to rubber. The rock beneath her feet seemed to disappear, plunging her even further towards the depth. The only thing her fear-consumed mind could even think of was the water. A terrified scream tore from Jingyi's throat, drowning out Dullahan's own scared yells.

Jingyi's body turned as she fell, straightening out to an arrow-like form. She hit the water, the cold fingers wrapping around her and dragging her deeper. With flailing arms, she broke the surface. Her arms and legs thrashed in the water before Jingyi disappeared down again. Her tears intermingled with the bitter water as it invaded her mouth. It flushed out her air, choking her with a merciless cruelty as Jingyi continued to struggle.

Jahan plunged into the darkness. The feeling of the ground sliding from beneath him was vast and consuming. It spiked his body with adrenaline. Jahanghir was surprised, confused and concerned but he was not afraid ;he would not imagine his end even in this predicament. That was until he heard Jingyi's scream. His eyes bolted but he suddenly  broke the surface of the water and he sank into the abyss. However he couldnt afford himself a moment of grace, almost instinctively  he began swimming upwards in an effort for air.

Jahanghirs body was still shaking with adrenaline when his head broke the surface of the water and he began  gasping for air.
"Jing!" the king would scream only to be greeted by darkness.

His mind was racing and his heart was pulsing but he kept kicking his feet and treading the water."He-he-ha" Jahan could hear gasps and the sound of faint kicking and splashing and without a thought he broke into a breast stroke towards the source of the noise.

"Jingyi! Dammit!" he would yell as water splashed him, he finally made it to the woman and she was swimming terribly. Jahan couldnt see, but his senses were sharp and he could tell from Jingyi's movements she was struggling against the pool. He wasn't aware of the womans fear and he wasn't sure how to approach her but he did know this, if she kept this up she would drown before anything. "Jing calm down!" Jahan would command but the tone of his voice was likely not helping. He tried to grab the woman only to be hit by her flailing arms.

He was annoyed and wet and pissed off but Jahan couldnt do much , he reached for what he suspected to be the womans waist. He grabbed her and with his powerful body he quickly swam forward hoping to meet the wall of the cavern. Soon they hit the surface of the cave to Jahanghir's delight, now he would try to calm the woman. The entirety of their time in water she had not stopped resisting against it, he was sure if she could slay the waves they would have been dried. Then it finally donned on him, he realised the woman's fear of water.  He would have to calm her.  Jahan didn't have much experience with this but hopefully he would have talents. He exhaled and tried to calm his own nerves and find words. He grew tired from the sudden swim and he used his strength to keep them pressed tightly against the wall of the cave. Resting his forehead against hers he breathed ruggedly for just a moment before steeling his nerves. "Jingyi, breathe. calm down. You aren't alone, Im right here. You wont drown, I wont allow it. Me, you and Dulla are leaving together"

aja's shouts weren't registered by the woman, her mind too paralyzed by fear to recognize them. Already she could feel her body grow tired of the endless flailing. Lead filled her limbs. Water filled her mouth and lungs. The darkness wrapped around her in a tight shroud. Something else tried to latch onto her, only to met by her elbow during her restless struggle against the pool.

Jingyi sank beneath the surface before bobbing back up momentarily with a loud wail. This couldn't be happening, the woman thought to herself through the haze. The waters began to mingle with salty tears as her body sobbed from pure terror. When it didn't seem like it could get worse - she was drowning, after all- something wrapped itself around her torso, dragging her. Her hands scratched at it, her cries intensifying due to the fact that her fear-riddled mind couldn't identify what was happening.

But then her back hit something solid and someone tried to speak to her. Jingyi broke into a new wave of tears, her body still shaking as it tried to contain the hysteria that wracked through it. She latched onto the figure with a vice-like grip, her nails digging into him. She babbled incoherently, her words mashing together. Finally, it became clear through her tears and sniffles that she was saying "sorry".

During the exchange, Dullahan recovered himself and swam over to the duo. He pressed close to Jaja and Jingyi, nudging his snout beneath the woman's elbow to alert her that he was here. The action caused Jingyi to pull an arm away from Jaja and wrap it around her beast. Even after calming down, the red-haired woman still trembled and sniffled uncontrollably. She curled up against the man, huddling close for the protection she sought after the terrifying experience.  Jingyi could still taste the bitter water in her mouth, and it drove her to tighten her grip on the both of them.

Jahanghir sighed with relief as the girl began to come to grips with her situation. She had marred him with skin deep cuts from her nails and she kept muttering something inaudible like.

"sawarsawsaweey"Jahanghir didnt know what that meant but he teased her with an impersonation of herself. The girl trembled a bit more before easing just a little bit.

"S-Sorry" JingYi stuttered. Jahanghir smilled at the very least his friend was alive. He had been more than worried of the woman. He couldnt see a damned thing and the pitch darkness did nothing to ease his pain. Jahan soon felt Dullahan's presence, thank fate as the beast took most of the load off of him. He needed to concentrate on getting them out of their. He thought about the mouth of the opening they fell into.

"How far down are we?" Jahanghir thought, his heart sank. He would never know. "Maybe... I could jump for it."

Factoring in his strength Jahan was positive he could jump pretty high and possibly reach the mouth of the cave above. That was if they were even on the right side of the chamber to attempt the stunt. What made it truly impossible was the lack of light, it was more of a hellish scenario to be in by the moment.

"Fuck."

Jahanghirs heart began to race, he was running out of options, he knew he could get them there but.. The stress of the thought boiled over until he paused.

"Whatever happens, happens"Jahan exhaled. The world king tightened his grip on Dullahan and Jing Yi.He closed his eyes and rested his head on the edge of the cavern. He had to reattempt it, he focused on the memory of hat feeling and those words. The rukh began to dance sporadically and violently shooting from their small chamber through the hidden openings in the mountains. Jahanghir would suddenly shine white, and a blinding flash would illumanate the cave.

Jahanhir's corporeal form grew 6 full wings, his body had coated itself in a rougher more dragonic body, and his head sported horns. He had reawoken his djinnn equip. However he could feel it fading as instantly as it had before. He had to make use of his time. Jahanghir ascended to the exit as quickly as he could.

He rose and rose each second burning at his being, e knew he couldnt sustain it. He just couldn't remember the words he had used. He could not remember how to reclaim his kingly form. At god's speed Jing yi, Dullahan and Jahanhir made it back over the pit. Jahanghir would flash again before his for shattered into many iridescent particles.
