New Traits

Trait Name: Perfect Homeostasis
Trait Tier: C
Trait Requirement: Body Manipulation Class
Trait Description: With mastery of one's own body comes the ability to control aspects of normal function, even when outside influences would disturb it.
Trait Effect: Effects beyond physical force that attempt to stun, slow, increase reaction time, or paralyze have no effect. Physical force refers to any ability that has a physically solid object imparting the effect through means of restraint or grappling-like techniques. ie: a poisonous flower could not give a slowing effect, but a being immersed in water could. This trait does not negate damage in any way.

Trait Name: Blind Fight
Trait Tier: D
Trait Requirement: Warrior Class
Trait Description: A Warrior's battle senses are finely tuned, to the point of being able to fight in complete darkness.
Trait Effect: The user has an "effective sight" zone of three meters from their person in a sphere shape. This zone allows them to perceive enemies, allies, and attacks that enter or originate in the zone, and defend themselves properly. This ability is based on both their sense of hearing and touch, to hear movement or feel changes in the air's movement. This trait gives a limited ability to perceive illusions for what they are, as long as the illusion has no sound or physical effects.

Updated Traits

Trait Name: Exceptional Speed
Trait Tier: B
Trait Requirement: Must be Human or a Magician with a secondary combat class.
Trait Description: Through excessive training, the character has reached a level of speed that exceeds the average human.
Trait Effect: The character can now outrun most mounts and maintain their speed for an hour. At this level they are equal to a C-tier fanalis in speed.

Perfect Homeostasis - Generally, I think we're supposed to only allow traits like these to "negate" only one effect. Even then, it takes a higher tier trait to actually cover ALL TYPES of that specific effect. For example, there are technically different versions of a slow. A D-Tier slow wouldn't be that bad, just a bit of stiffness maybe. C-Tier would be a lot more effective, making you feel like your going on slow-motion most likely. (Perhaps not that bad, but the best way I could describe it myself.) Then, B-Tier would maybe be like...feeling as if your joints were actually locking or something. So on..

Blind Fight - Okay, this kind of trait has always been a bit iffy for us to grade. We've only allowed this kind of trait through once before, I think. That was a combination sort of trait, involving Lagi's symbiote. I'm not 100% where Diana stands on this kind of trait, but I feel like suggesting some more like..."enhanced hearing" or something instead.

Exceptional Speed - Obviously this one is fine, but I won't approve it until you're 100% sure you want it / are fine with the traits you'll be getting. ^^

For Perfect Homeostasis, the core idea was to prevent effects that work directly on the body's nerves and muscles. It's why i was clear about physical effects still being able to impart those penalties. i also know we don't (to my knowledge) have an official list of status ailments, so i wanted to make sure that i covered keywords that might get called out. I chose C tier to cover what i saw as 2 core effects, a slowing of motion and a stopping of motion. I just tried to cover some keywords that might be different but do the same thing.

Would it help with blind fight if i reduced the range to 1 meter?

And yeah, i definitely want the speed. I knew i was taking that from the beginning. gotta go fast!

Mhm, I understand what you're trying to do. However, it's just the way these kind of traits work from my understanding. Though, I feel like the more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to allow you to work with these kind of effects specifically with this one trait. Amaya is going to be getting a similar trait, that will essentially reduce the effects of any kind of poison. However, to completely nullify these poisons, the trait is going to need to be A-Tier. So, I feel like this trait should only really...reduce the effects to a certain extent at C-Tier. If that makes any sense.

As for nerfing Blind Flight to 1-meter, it definitely is more tempting to give it to you. However, I remember there even being argument with Lagi's trait (Which is 10-meters + Omega-Tier) being "too ability-like". I'll discuss this trait with Diana soon, then after your next bump I'll give you our final answer. ^^

Exceptional Speed - Approved!

Code:
[b]Trait Name:[/b] Exceptional Speed
[b]Trait Tier:[/b] B
[b]Trait Requirement:[/b] Must be Human or a Magician with a secondary combat class.

I'd be ok turning perfect homeostasis into a reduction of duration. Say a reduction by 2 posts? Nullified if that reduces it to 0?

With one meter of effective range, it basically just allows me to continue in melee. I'd take out the part about ranged projectiles entering the zone.

Down below, I'm gonna throw an example of how Ayama did her trait. (Which was approved, so by "copying" it, you should be fine. LOL

Trait Name: Conditioned Immunity
Trait Tier: B
Trait Requirement: Assassin Specialization
Trait Description: Through intensive, controlled exposure and intentional poisoning, the user has built up a tolerance to toxins, greatly reducing their effectiveness.
Trait Effect: Poison effectiveness against the user is reduced by one tier, and the user gains immunity to d-tier poisons. If the trait is upgraded to A-tier, the user becomes immune to all but the strongest (omega-tier) of toxins.

Essentially, your trait is going to work the same way with the reducing it by one tier. However, it's not going to gain the immunity to D-Tier slows/stuns until it's B-Tier. ^^

I can work with that. How about Blind fight?

Blind Fight, I think I'm gonna allow you to have the trait. Specifically since the way you worded it, I feel like realistic. However, I'm gonna need you to remove the illusion part. The only reason for that though, is because seeing through any kind of illusions, is a completely different trait. ^.^ In return though, I'll let you keep the 3-meters on it.

Derp, here's both the approval and code for Blind Fight!

Code:
[b]Trait Name:[/b] Blind Fight
[b]Trait Tier:[/b] D
[b]Trait Requirement:[/b] Warrior Class
[b]Trait Description:[/b] A Warrior's battle senses are finely tuned, to the point of being able to fight in complete darkness.
[b]Trait Effect:[/b] The user has an "effective sight" zone of three meters from their person in a sphere shape.

Make sure to bump the thread when you're ready for me to grade Perfect Homeostasis!

Ok, this is what i changed Perfect Homeostasis to.

Trait Name: Perfect Homeostasis
Trait Tier: C
Trait Requirement: Body Manipulation Class
Trait Description: With mastery of one's own body comes the ability to control aspects of normal function, even when outside influences would disturb it. This trait works by controlling the responses of muscles and nerves.
Trait Effect: Effects beyond physical force that attempt to stun, slow, increase reaction time, or paralyze have their effects reduced by one tier. This trait does not affect damage in any way.

Also, i noticed you accidentaly kept the part in blind sight about seeing through illusions, but its ok i fixed it in my vault.

Oh nice catch, completely missed that. Thanks! I'mma post the code you edited in here, just in case we ever need to look back on it or something.

Code:
[b]Trait Name:[/b] Blind Fight
[b]Trait Tier: [/b]D
[b]Trait Requirement:[/b] Warrior Class
[b]Trait Description:[/b] A Warrior's battle senses are finely tuned, to the point of being able to fight in complete darkness.
[b]Trait Effect:[/b] The user has an "effective sight" zone of three meters from their person in a sphere shape. This zone allows them to perceive enemies, allies, and attacks that enter or originate in the zone, and defend themselves properly. This ability is based on both their sense of hearing and touch, to hear movement or feel changes in the air's movement.

Alright, we're getting on the right track with Perfect Homeostasis. However, as it is now, it could be quite difficult to apply to things. (This is sort of my fault though, because I only directed you to Amaya's trait.) Stuns, Slows, and stuff like that doesn't exactly have a tier system. There are typically two types of stuns, full-body, and singular/multiple limb paralyzation. They are then given an amount of posts they can last, usually based on tier.

As for slows, it's a lot harder to base this on tier alone. A D-Tier slow would be considered minor, while a C-Tier slow might be somewhere in between being minor or great. (However, this is not always the case. As I know a lot of people who make C-Tier abilities half and half, aka a minor slow and then D-Tier damage. So it completely is based on the person and how they made their ability.) B-Tier would then of course be someone getting "greatly slowed". (Unless what I just said is taken in consideration.)

I'm not too sure how we could fix this myself, other than maybe you could try to base it a bit more off of the Imuchakk trait? AKA your trait would essentially reduce the severity of these things by a single tier, if below C-Tier. I think then, that would nullify "D-Tier slows", while bringing a full-on "C-Tier slow"  down to a "D-Tier slow.". If that makes any sense. I'd say just try to word it a bit differently, since technically these things aren't exactly tiered.
