Job:

A young, native boy helplessly stared at the pile of wood. He dreaded the job he had been assigned. He had been commanded to deliver the material to the carpenters. Specifically, to Liu Song, the Head Carpenter. But rumor had it, Liu bullied those who delivered the materials. He, Yeung Heng, admitted his fears of being brutally picked on by the Head Carpenter. According to the rumors, Liu Song, a bulky man, terrified his subordinates. What a comforting fact to know. He understood the importance of delivering the supplies, but his fear of Liu Song prevented him from making any sort of progress. Oh, how he wished someone else would intervene and deliver the material instead.

!!!
Eh!?

Someone... was in that nearby tree!?

"M-miss? I-I- will you help me with something? I- I would really appreciate if you delivered some supplies," Heng pleaded.

"Heh, you want my help? Ha ha ha! You must be mistaken. You'd like my help to deliver supplies. I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm not the delivery girl. Hmm, I thought that was you. Why don't you quit slacking and get to it, hm?" The mysterious woman mocked and snorted.

The woman nestled in the branches and leaves of the tree dressed weirdly. A foreigner, Heng realized. With her head turned to the side and away from him, he wondered how she concluded he was not performing his task. However, the woman's unusual silver hair distracted him the most. Long, silver hair hung down. It pooled in a basket created by the tree as the stranger slumped in the chair like form between the tree's limb and trunk. She showed no interest in lending her help. To be fair, she had no reason to help. So it seemed he'd have to convince her to help.

"I'm willing to pay you! I'll give you the money paid for this job that I was supposed to do! If you'll help me!" he desperately proposed.

The woman propped herself up against the main piece of the tree. She turned her head towards the boy and smirked. With her violet-red eyes revealed, Heng's own eyes widened in surprise. Her eyes! Violet, red. Just who was this woman anyways!?

"Deal."

She was painfully desperate for money. Why else would she accept the boy's offer? Aquila reflected this as she shifted the pile of wood around in her arms. Although, she did question the kid's reason for throwing his job at her. It almost appeared as if he was afraid of something about his job. But who was she to be frightened of a child's fear? Children had a tendency to be anxious about frivolous things. Seriously, what could be scary about delivering wood to a carpenter? It seemed awfully silly to Aquila. What in the world did he have to fear about carrying some wood?

She absolutely despised the Head Carpenter. Liu Song, wasn't it? Aquila didn't care. His name mattered little. Who was a (metaphorical) dead man's name to her? Liu Song, who infuriated her, was simply a coward. His words were simply a shield. He hid behind it for protection. She scoffed at the flying fleeing fart. She wished him dead. He deserved nothing less than to be cast away like the very wood he cast under his saw. He had foolishly empowered Aquila's irritation. His arrogance would be paid with his blood, she swore. Her dagger would relish his life. She asserted he'd pay dearly for his brazen tongue.

She tilted her head in thought. "Will this one be as annoying?" she asked.

"Of course not! He just has a personal grudge against me," he explained. Heng, noticing the woman's curious look, immediately covered his mouth with his hands. He lowered his hands slowly and gazed ruefully downward. He mumbled under his breath, "I shouldn't have mentioned that." He feared the woman would attempt to dig further. Observing the way she peered at him, he guessed she was picking him apart, wondering what he could have done to concur the head blacksmith's displeasure. Heng assumed the fact he breathed caused the head blacksmith displeasure. Meaning he also had no answers to why the head blacksmith hated him so.

Indeed, the blacksmith proved to be more agreeable. He at least did not attempt to infuriate her. She never caught his name. When she found him among the workers, he directed the ore to a nearby pile of metal. The trip barely wasted her time, unlike the previous delivery to the carpenter who had sent Aquila to his subordinates. She also understood why the blacksmith seemed to dislike the boy so much. The quiet and hard-working blacksmith clashed with the talkative and lazy boy because of their different perspectives. To be honest, it was more of a miscommunication between the two that caused the boy to think the blacksmith hated him.
