Today, the marketplace of Reim had been booming with activity. Today was a little festival held on the port. Crowds of people flourished within the bazaar, walking from stall to stall, buying and selling goods as they went. All were eager to do something and socialize on a day such as this. It was early morning, so whoever lived on the marketplace street wouldn't be able to go back to sleep after they've already been awoken. Pigeons and doves flew above the heads of the common people, searching for their next meal which was usually a couple spilled breadcrumbs. The morning seabreeze blew through the streets. The sky, a light shade of blue, allowed the sun to peak overhead the horizon, letting it kiss the outer-walls of the buildings.

Julius Virgil, former pirate captain, had been asked personally to help manage one of the stalls. How he'd been reduced to someone he'd usually steal from, he didn't know, but if it made him a little more dough on the side, he'd do it. Plus, he could use a little boost when it came to charm. He had to sell a whole lot of fish. All the same kind, a common sea bass. It wasn't long before he had his first customer. It was a woman, who sought out more than just a couple of fish. Julius led her on to believe they had a mutual interest. The woman left with ten fish. A man, the local innkeeper, was next up, in which Julius gave a scammy discount in which the old man would think he would be earning a deal, yet in reality, it was just a trick to sell him more than sixty fish.

Not long after, the merchants jaw dropped when he turned the corner to see the stock already half gone and customers lining up by the dozen. Julius could only turn his head and perk a brow and give a signature grin to the man. The salesman smiled back and waved him back to work. Julius hadn't wasted any time and got straight back to it. People of all shapes and sizes, visited the stand. Some hadn't even wanted fish, they just wanted a simple conversation. The pirate, however, was quick to wave the leeches away. Julius' temporary boss actually had to pull out double the stock from the warehouse, seeing as how fast his merchandise was selling. After this, he'd soon be a popular icon in Reim, or the marketplace at least.

At the end of the day, Julius had sold three times the quota he was paid to do. He understood the business though, the merchant wouldn't give him more money than he was told at the beginning of the deal. Virgil inwardly sighed at that, but life sucks sometimes, this is an example of it. The moon slowly began to set. The festivals activities had finalized, magical fireworks blew up into the air. They heavily contrasted to the black sky. Absolutely stunning what magic could do. With that done, the festival ended, and everyone went home. Julius had trotted off, leaving the crowds behind, only to rest his head on a bed of hay within the tavern. The owner gave him a discount for the night. With a grin, Julius fell asleep after a hard day of sales-work.
