[OCC: This takes a few hours before the thread/mission Fate’s Guiding hand]

The morning mist had been rolling through the mountains. The sound of the ocean crashing was still within earshot. A lone figure walked down a curvy stone path in the middle of the thick wilderness. The stars and moon attempted to shine through the mist but they could only penetrate slightly. The silent night was filled with only the small sounds of insects chirping and moving about. These forest were full with strange and exotic animals, most were active in the day time but there was few that liked the cloak of the night to do their hunting. The lone figure walking through the area wore nothing but a white robe covering a simple pair of shorts and shirt and on his feet were a pair of worn and dirty sandals. In his right hand was a stick, well a staff to be correct, but for the time being he was using it as a walking stick. An air of magic and power surrounded the boy. He moved silently and quickly through the night the only light he had been using was that of the stars and the moon and that was scarce as it was.

Noah’s steps echoed in the night, his feet were getting cold from the morning dew brushing on his exposed feet. His current route was said to be towards the capital city at least that was what the villagers of the town several miles back had told him. He had started his journey as the sun was dipping behind the mountains, the Jade Mountains. A place of wonder and mystery, many men have wrote about these tall peaks in their stories, artiest had painted them in every season and in every way that the sun shone on them, they were as much a part of the Zou Empire as the desert was to Heliohapt. He had always wanted to come to these massive beauties, more so in the daylight than night but beggars could not always be choosers. A small smile had crossed his face, he was more at ease here than ever in Heliohapt, being surrounded by the lush plants and slumbering animals was something that Noah was meant to be around at all times, not greedy, ignorant, fat, loud, and rude humans. He did not enjoy humans but tolerated them, they had never done anything to harm him other than kill his mother, that memory still haunted him.

He had fled the hot desert due to the fact that he had killed a rather annoying human, not that he was evil or bad to the world or the flow of life but he was rather rude to Noah and showed those below him no respect at all. That was his flaw, thinking that Noah was beneath him. Though it still drained him to use such big scale attacks in quick succession he was strong, stronger than most. He knew that if push came to shove that he could his own in a fight, maybe not long but he would not allow any enemy of any strength go away unscathed. The man was walking slowly through the mist careful to listen for any nocturnal hunters that might be watching him, he was rather certain that none were around but you never could be to careful. He had heard myths of dragons and other strange beast lurking in these mountains but none of them have been spotted since the last great magi walked this earth and that was, well that was sometime ago.

The Magi were all but myths to the boy now, something that he never really even concerned himself over. There were rumors though, some unsettling rumors that he was not too sure if he believed himself honestly. It seemed that there was something afoot in the magical scheme of the world. He had heard them at first at the Black Pyramid back in the arid Heliohapt but even here in Zou and in Balbadd he had heard some remarks here and there at the ports among the sailors. While he never trusted a rumor before a rumor that had made itself all away around the world was a different matter. What if these reports were not just the hearsay of fishermen and whores but actual truths? Well they said that there was always a bit of truth in every rumor but being able to find that truth was sometimes a difficult matter.

He had been rambling down this for so long that he almost did not even notice the small bits of light up ahead, a town maybe? He was not really tired due to the small bit of adrenaline of being in a new area but the thought of a nice warm meal and maybe a place to rest up a bit was not too bad of an idea to him. As he approached he noticed that the lights were too small to be from a town, more like a make shift outpost kind of deal. There was a man standing near the entrance to the area, dressed in all black and holding a sword in his right hand, a torch in the left. “Hey you there stop where you are!” The man came jogging over to Noah who was still about 40-50 meters away from their location. When he got over there he was a bit winded but the light illuminated more to Noah than before. The man was covered in scars, old battle wounds, the patch on his right breast was not of this country but of a man being hung by the gallows, a bandit it seemed. “You will need to pay the toll to keep going down this road.” A ruse? He takes my toll and then stabs me in the back as I walk away. “And pray tell who is this toll being paid too? You do not look like any Zou warriors that I have ever seen.” His staff was still gripped tight in his hands, if this man was to think Noah as a fool and weakling he was about to get a rude awakening.

The man looked flustered and annoyed, he held his sword tip at Noah and spoke again once more. ‘Hey there boy. I don’t think you know who you are messing with Now hand over the money or be killed here and now.” Noah took a step back moving a bit from the torch light, a worried looked crossed his face, a bluff. “I..I don’t have any money…Please please don’t hurt me si-“ He couldn’t keep it going. He started bursting out laughing, if this man though Noah would beg for his life he was a fool. An eerie green light emitted from Noah’s staff causing his face to become rather twisted and evil looking. “Is that what you would like me to say? What a simpleton, get out of my way.” Before the man could take another step a wood dragon had already formed and ripped right through his stomach coating the wooden beast in blood. Noah just smiled as he watched his beauty fly in the night sky. He continued to walk forward while leaving his beast behind letting it return to nothing more than a small splinter of wood. The camp must have had a second watch because five men stood outside the gate armed to the teeth. Noah’s blood was pumping, these fools thought they could handle him. They charged him without even trying to talk. He lightly hit the ground with his staff causing roots to rip up from the ground to whip, choke, and pull apart each men. When the spell was done they fell to the ground lifeless and Noah continued to walk through the corpses with nothing more than a smile on his face, and after stopping to loot them a few extra coins in his pocket.

Tier: B
Cost: 30
Element: Life
Class: Offensive
Range: 30 meters
Duration: 1 Post
Cool-Down: 6 Post
Description: Noah will slam his staff into the ground causing the ruhk to go into a spastic manner. This will cause a massive surge of life magic to flow through the ground around a 30 meter radius of the caster. Beneath the ground massive tree roots will begin to form causing a phenomena that mimics that of an earthquake, the ground will become violently unstable and most likely will knock people off their balance. In a matter of seconds the roots that were growing and causing the earthquake will erupt from the ground whipping, impaling, and squeezing all enemies in that radius. The roots will be between the sizes of 4-7 meters thick and 25-30 meters long. Those that are harmed by the roots will deal with damage that can rip through flesh and bone, shatter bones by pure force when squeezing, or shatter bones by being whipped so hard by them, all the attacks are considered B tier. The roots will revert back into small seedlings once the spell is over but the environmental damage done to the area is permanent.
