Most of the time, Yanaihara is usually a very laid back and chill character. Although he is laid back it doesn't mean that he is quiet or not outgoing since it is quite the opposite. His nature of being Outgoing creates many various opportunities for Yanaihara to produce newly made friendships and alliances. When approaching the young warrior, it proves to quite easy to whip up a conversation. If serious topics were to come and be presented to him, Yanaihara would then become socially awkward which introduces us to the next bulletin.

Due to being such an outgoing person, he tends to have a flaw to his outgoing nature and that is that he cannot handle serious situations too well.He has been known to be clumsy and choose wrong decisions when dealing with serious matters but he strives to fix that about himself and seek wisdom within this world, leading us to the next bulletin.

Ever since a young age he had been stubborn and hardheaded but recently he has been opening up to new experiences and the vast knowledge that the world has to offer as well as leading other comrades and friends into an easier but exciting life. The reasons that he possess for grasping a hold of this knowledge and wisdom is to better himself as a person and aiding his companions which leads us into the final bulletin.

Although Yanaihara is quite the clumsy individual and is usually seeking development, he can be selfish at times along with many other ordinary human natures that show he is also a person with flaws. One of these flaws are being self-conscience of his appearance but always finds a way to boost his self-esteem back up into gear. Similar to other characters, Yanaihara is persistent when it comes to completing a goal and also shows jealously quite frequently. Aside from that, Yanaihara has also been known to be one of the most cunning warriors within his local area.

Likes: If there is one activity that Yanaihara enjoys it is reading folklore and stories, he especially enjoys telling fictional tales about a various amount of different brave warriors because he is able to let his imagination run rampant. Another activity that Yanaihara takes pride in is free running and pushing himself physically and mentally, this activity is Yanaihara's absolute favorite activity due to the rush of excitement when performing various stunts and tricks.

Dislikes: There are a plethora of things that Yanaihara disproves of and or despises but one of the main things that Yanaihara cannot stand is negative people. If a negative action or negative way of thinking were to be introduced to Yanaihara, he would be quite annoyed to the point where he absolutely has to take action on it. Another dislike of Torento Yanaihara would have to be fish, he can consume anything except seafood which he would have to be on the verge of death in order to eat seafood.

Aspirations: Since young, the warrior known as Yanaihara had sought excitement and thrill which he took joy and pleasure in . It may seem like a simple objective in life but within that one aspiration is a large list of many other objectives and aspirations in which he wants to keep on increasing and expanding. Yanaihara has never been the kind of person who wants to live in peace and harmony, he constantly wants to be challenged and face larger and larger walls within his never endless path. Exploring every corner of the world and beyond has always been on Yanaihara's mind as well due to the many places and locations shrouded in mystery scattered across the universe. In short, his aspiration is to continue increasing his list of aspirations.

Phobias/Fears: An end to everything, Yanaihara would like his journey as a warrior to always be ongoing and to never have an end. It is not that Yanaihara is afraid of death but it is that he continuously strives to become a much more refined human being and to of course, become a legacy which would leave many remembering him even after death. The thought of him not being able to complete that goal is daunting to him, Yanaihara however hopes to overcome this fear along with a couple other minor ones within the near future.

Appearance: Yanaihara is a fair-skinned young boy of somewhat of a medium type height stature and a lean-built. He owns large blue eyes and black hair which is common in Kou except for the dark blue eyes. Noticeably, most of his hair is straight and down to about his chin, the remainder of his hair is tied up into a high ponytail. The most noticeable trait of Yanaihara is his scar that streaks across the bridge of his nose. He is usually seen wearing traditional samurai attire consisting of a hakama with an undershirt that is white along with a red robe that shifts into white at the edge of his sleeves including at the end of his torso, and blue hakama pants. He also wears a pair of wooden geta most of the time. Yanaihara's body language isn't anything too unique but it is very proper but can become very lazy when he is around ones he feel comfortable with. When angered, his body language is usually more reminiscent of an angered animal.

History: During the day that Yanaihara was born, it had been raining in a certain part of the Kou Empire for a couple days with no signs of ending. Empire Soldiers of Kou were attempting to patrol the streets for the four days straight that the rain had been falling but the rain only got worse and had soon transformed into a storm. Once the storm had calmed down and diminished, Torento had already been born into the Yanaihara Family which were known in their local area to be skilled in the way of the warrior. Yanaihara's mother who gave birth to the young warrior during the storm was short on food source which meant that the family had to preserve their food as much as possible. After Yanaihara's strange but fateful birth, he was marked as the storm child within his immediate and extended family due to being born during such a brutal and vicious storm. Years following, Yanaihara's family martial artist school increased in members and soon there were dozens of members who trained under the Yanaihara family. Many soon to be Kou soldiers decided to enroll into the school in order to gain experience in the way of the katana and warrior. Those who enrolled into the family's martial artist school were also sometimes listed as a mercenary later on due to the great experience and knowledge they acquired through the Yanaihara family's teachings. As Torento grew up, his grandfather taught him most of the techniques and skills he knows to this day. His grandfather was a specially trained mercenary who was hired to carry out important missions in the past, due to the former position that Torento's grandfather had, Torento was forced to undergo intense training in which only a few selected members of the Yanaihara family went through. Torento's grandfather who was currently teaching and tutoring students in the family's martial artist school at the time had gotten a quite special and unique request to dispose of a mediocre amateur rebel group who were threatening peace on the streets of Kou as of recent. Upon investigating and attempting to rid of the amateur rebel organization, Yanaihara Chien had lost his life in a rough skirmish with the rebel group. At this time, Yanaihara Torento was about the age of ten and was quite upset about his grandfather's horrid death. There was one quote from his grandfather that Yanaihara kept with him even after his grandfather's death. "Kou has become quite shady within these recent years, I wonder what it is like in other kingdoms at the moment. Wouldn't it be quite exciting to have an interesting journey across the many lands of this world Torento?" Yanaihara Chien asked Torento about two months before his life was taken by the rebel organization. The remaining relatives that Torento had were his aunt, uncle, and mother. Torento's father had wandered off into the world and left the Kou Empire thus making his father a traitor and criminal of the Kou Empire. Years down the line, Torento Yanaihara aged into a young warrior and soon to be Kou Soldier due to his fast approaching birthday but his grandfather's words before his death had told Yanaihara otherwise, Yanaihara took up his grandfather's katana and fled from Kou in hopes of returning one day with enough strength and power to protect his loved ones. As well as searching for riches, fame, and wisdom.

Role-Play Sample: As Yanaihara awoke from his deep slumber, he brought his hands up to his face and rubbed his eyes in attempt to rid of anything interfering with his tired and weary eyes. Yanaihara's face and body was quite obviously exhausted by the lazy facial expression and body language that Yanaihara performed. Crawling off his sleeping mat with a dragging face of exhaustion, Yanaihara pushed himself off from the floor using his arm strength. Pushing himself off the floor in which he was resting, Yanaihara stood up within his room and began to stroll toward the shoji sliding door while he dragged his feet across the tatami flooring mat. In the process of flinging the sliding door ajar, Yanaihara let out a roaring yawn which could be heard throughout the whole house with ease. Yanaihara exited his room and decided to take a peek outside of the house through the window near the house entrance. Shining brightly through the window, the sun greeted Yanaihara's weary eyes which did not have the intentions of being glared at by the cheeky sun.

As the blade falls onto the foe, the user's feet are not touching the ground as they are forcing their weight on top of their strike.

    Torento must position his blade vertically and about a meter in front of his chest in order to fend off and parry incoming techniques and damage. Trently's wielded blade smacks the target's weapon out of their hand five meters away, disarming the target. Afterward, Trently's blade of choice strikes out at the opponent; dealing D-Tier damage. It does not function against targets with a higher tier than the ability. Targets whom are struck by this ability are required to retrieve their weapon if they wish to wield it.

    With Trently's blade sheathed and or out, he puts his hand on it's hilt and motions the blade in a swift 360 cutting spin that cuts anything within it's radius. At the end of the 360 spin in which Trently finishes, Trently strikes his blade into the air to complete the Dansu Toru; dealing D-Tier Damage to anyone caught by the blade's dance.

Appearance: A small piece of paper with several markings written in black ink. There is a magic circle on the back side. The paper itself is only 20cm long and 8cm wide.
Function:

  • Feather Mark - Feeding magoi into the paper causes it to stick to the next surface the user places it on. It will then cause the target to become weightless for 1 post. If the user places it on themselves, they can feed more magoi into it to continue the effect. This does not grant flight, however it does allow the user to to lift things they otherwise could not or jump higher than they would otherwise be able to. Unfortunately, it also makes it easier for the affected target to be blown away or knocked back making it a double edged sword if used on oneself. 10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.

Appearance: A pendant that is approximately 7 cm long and hangs from a silver chain. It has 3 beautiful gems attached on this pendant that has a similar shape like a lightning bolt, a small ruby, topaz and sapphire. The magic circle is located on the back
Function:

  • Magnetism Field – Feeding the magoi into the item will allow the user to create a magnetic field 3m in  diameter that can be used to attract ferrometals, such as iron, nickel and cobalt. (Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon.) towards the field. The type of metal that could be attracted could be weapons, jewelry, and all things that is made from ferrometals except metal vessels. 10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.


Flora Rose [Magic Item]:

Appearance: A rose encased in a special gelatin to keep it preserved forever. The magic circle is within the gel substance.

  • Healing Pulse - When fed magoi, the rose will glow light purple and emit a 1m pulse around the wearer, healing D-Tier damage to anyone within that 1m. - 10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.


Cold Casket [Magic Weapon]:

Magic Type: Dry Ice (Heat + Ice)
Appearance: A 150 cm tall and 90 cm wide, kite shield made from what looks to be a skull encased in dry ice. Perhaps the skull is from an unfortunate dungeon challenger? The shield is 25 cm at its thickest making rather heavy and cumbersome without the use of above average strength. It has two straps and a grip for easier and more comfortable maneuverability.
Function:

  • Cold's Grip - When the user feeds magoi into the shield and blocks/touches a physical attack/object, the dry ice flash freezes 1 square meter of the physical attack/object. The flash freezing is only on the surface and doesn't deal damage, but the physical attack/object gets stuck to the shield and can't get free for 3 posts unless the shield itself or the ice is broken. Damage, if applicable, is still dealt to the shield when using this ability. 10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain


Meinu [Magic Weapon]:

Appearance: An ivory sword with black accents and adorned with precious crimson stones. The hilt is 16cm in length with decorative tassels hanging from it. The blade itself is made entirely out of steel, reaching out 73cm past the guard.
Function:

  • Shine Bright - Feeding magoi into this sword will create a glimmer of light that travels up and down the blade rapidly, giving the blade a "vibrating" visual effect that could potentially throw their enemies off guard. They are then able to release the light within the blade, creating a 5m "solar flare" around them. If anyone within this "solar flare" has their eyes open, including the user, they will be completely blinded for a very short period of time. After the blindness fades away, the affected people will then have to deal with extremely blurry vision for the next 3 posts.

Appearance: A neatly braided necklace with a shield-like metal emblem on it. In the center is a clear blue gem embedded into it with a magic circle engraved around it.
Function:

  • Cloak -  Feeding magoi into this necklace will cause the user and all the equipment they are wearing to vanish to anyone not in a 2m radius of them. Alternatively, they could choose to make a single inanimate object they are touching, vanish.  As long as they keep their breath under control and not attempt any kind of combat-related action, their presence will have vanished completely and is not detectable by normal means. If their breath becomes suddenly unstable or they attempt to strike their enemy during the activation of Cloak, the effect will begin to fade away. An inanimate object affected by this will simply revert after 1 post.  10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.

  • Mirror -  Feeding magoi into this necklace will cause the user and all the equipment they are wearing to mirror a target of their choosing within a 5m radius. The users own actions will now be cloaked in a harmless illusion of the target's own actions to anyone within 5m of the mirrored user. If their breath becomes suddenly unstable during the activation of Mirror, the effect will begin to fade away.  10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.


Atarashi Kishi Ude [Magic Item]:

Appearance: A standard prosthetic arm, made up of 100% pure titanium. The arm seems to adjust it’s size and weight to fit any user. The magic circle is directly on top of the hand, and will glow a faint black color when fed magoi.
Function:

  • Force - By feeding magoi into the arm, the user is then granted a powerful form of telekinesis; via strength magic. The telekinesis allows for simple radial movement but lacks the accuracy to perform any complicated tasks. Any inanimate object they may have touched within their last post becomes eligible to be controlled by them. As long as the object is within exactly 40-meters of the user, they are able to control it freely, moving it anywhere within the set range. If the object is to go past the set range, the user will lose complete control over it.
  • Handy - As long as the user has at least 20 magoi left in the current thread, this magic tool will work as a fully functional arm. If the user is below the 20 magoi threshold, the arm will no longer function until their magoi is restored. Additionally, this arm is capable of applying A-Tier basic damage equivalent to A-Tier enhanced strength. This arm does not feel pain, but will take damage like any other item would.


Universal Sheath [Magic Item]:

Appearance: Normally a 75 cm long, 10 cm wide sheathe with aesthetics reminiscent of Kou style. This sheathe probably belonged to a regular soldier of the Kou Empire who ventured too far, but now the sheathe has been altered by the dungeon's power. The strangest aspect of this sheathe, aside from the magic, is the inside; it looks like a whole universe is encased within the sheathe.
Function:

  • One Size - If the user tries to sheathe any weapon into this sheathe, the sheathe will contract, shift, and warp its shape, size, and form in order to perfectly fit the weapon. Removing the weapon from the sheathe will revert the sheathe to its original shape, size, and form. No cost.

  • Fits All - If the sheathe is not in use and the user feed magoi into the void sheathe, then a powerful vacuum is created inside the sheathe. The vacuum force is in the shape of a 5m wide fan up to 1m in front of the sheath. Anything that weighs less than paper will get sucked into the sheathe, never to be seen again. No matter the size of the objects getting sucked in, the sheathe will compensate. This is generally useless against physical attacks with mass due to the weight limit, but is very effective against intangible attacks such as flames or gases. 10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.

A magical flying carpet that allows the user to soar through the sky. It measures 2 meters in width, 3 in length, and about 20cm in terms of thickness, making it quite flexible.
Function:

  • This magical carpet gives a 25% word count reduction on traveling topics.
  • The carpet can fly at great speeds equivalent to an A-tier flight spell, up to a height of 60 meters. The carpet can hold up to 5 people at a time before being weighed down. This function is free in social situations but costs magoi to be used in combat or when under attack. 10 magoi to activate | 5 to sustain.

Appearance: On the outside, it is an ordinary flask that is roughly 20 cm tall and 7 cm wide. During the day, the inside is filled with a warm, fluorescent golden liquid that seems to come alive at the touch. It's warmth reminds you of the kiss of the sun on a summer day or a mother's loving embrace. In the night, the liquid turns blue and cold, shining brightly like the moon.
Function:

  • The Wrath of Apollo - After channeling magoi into the flask, keeping the flask upright, the liquid sunlight will drain out and seep into the ground. A pillar of scorching light that is 20 meters in diameter will erupt from the ground underneath the target and deal B tier damage in the form of burns as well as applying the effects of the magic type.
  • The Gift of Diana - After channeling magoi into the flask, turning the flask upside down, the liquid moonlight will drain out onto the surface below, creating an icy mirror that is 15 meters in diameter. It will show any past or present the user wishes to see. However, it will be silent and the user many only look into a maximum of 1 threads per use or sustain.


Kutter's Katana [Magic Weapon]:

Name: Kutter's Katana
Tier: A-Tier
Type: Magic Weapon - Sword
Magic Type: Razor (Wind + Strength)
Appearance: This 100 cm long katana once belonged to Kutter, an adventurer from Kou who lost to against Caim's traps. The body of the adventurer was swallowed up, but the sword remained, absorbing the magoi of the dungeon and eventually gaining powerful magic. With a 75 cm blade length, 1.5 cm blade thickness, 25 cm handle length, and a 15 cm guard diameter, this sword is indeed as beautiful as it is sharp.
Function:

  • Subatomic Slice - The user feeds magoi into the sword using two hands, causing the sword to coat its blade in an immeasurably sharp razor edge. The next slash of the blade will send a flying edge of razor magic up to 20m through the air severing things with A-Tier damage. Things cut with razor magic are unable to be put back together again regardless of healing spells used on them for a minimum of 3 posts.. 10 Magoi to activate | 5 Magoi to sustain.


Shuriken of Storms [Magic Weapon]:

Type: Weapon | Throwing
Magic Type: Storm [ Wind + Lightning ]
Cost: 10 magoi to activate | 5 to sustain
Appearance: This shuriken is approximately .5 meters across and the magic circle is inscribed on the blue gem in the center of the blades. The blades appear to have streaks of lightning through them.
Function:

  • Stormfall - When the user throws the shuriken after feeding it magoi, it causes a 2m diameter disc of storm magic to spread from its center. The shuriken will stop above the target and the disc of storm clouds will glow brightly for a brief moment. The space directly beneath the shuriken is then struck with a giant lightning bolt capable of covering the entire 2m diameter. Anything caught by the bolt is dealt B-tier damage and electrical paralysis that lasts for one posts. The range of this attack is 10m.
  • Tempest Zone - The user activates this function by keeping the shuriken held in their hand with its center placed against their palm. Feeding magoi into the tool with that condition met causes thick storm clouds to form around the user. The clouds grow to cover a 10m diameter spreading throughout the area blocking the vision of anything within the area unless they are at least 1m away from each other. The electricity within the storm cloud detects the electromagnetic fields of living beings and informs the caster of their location.


Journey Book (Zadi):

Magic Type: Communication [Light + Clairvoyance]
Appearance: A set of two leather-bound journals filled with pages.
Function:

  • The two notebooks are linked using a combination of Clairvoyance magic, which communicates the message from one book to the other, and Light magic, which gives the illusion of the other notebook receiving the message. Can be used to communicate over vast distances. Anything written in one book will “appear” in the other book.
