?????? (Ani/Noir/Yaku)

The three participants that decided to deviate from the group found themselves inside a dimly lit circular room made of intertwining branches and vines. A biting cold wind blows through the only opening which also serves as the only light source coming from the sun outside. The window is about 50cm in diameter, a full grown man can fit through it if he tried hard enough.

The portal that brought them in this room have closed as soon as they entered. Beneath their feet are sigils and symbols carved on wood. There are three wooden chest inside the room. One on their left and one on their right and another one just under the window. The ones on their flanks are made of wood while the one under the window is of different make. It have a bright red color being illuminated by the light from outside.

Light footsteps can be heard from somewhere deeper inside the cover of darkness. Then a sound of a door opening and slamming shut echoed throughout the room. There might be something hidden under the shadows but the light given by the window is insufficient to make out anything farther than 5 meters from it.

As she was brought to the room with two people she knew well enough she let out a slight sigh. She knew the mask wouldn't hide her identity from them since Hoyo was with her and she knew that he was probably an easy sight to remember."Well looks like we've ended up together for another adventure." She said chuckling softly as she looked around the room. She walked over to the window and peered outside of it before crouching down to look at the chest. "I'm going to have Hoyo search the area." She said before commanding him to use his electroception. After she had him use the ability Ani ran her hands along the red chest before opening it as her curiosity had gotten the best of her.

Noir’s body instantly trembled because the temperature in the area she was in right now kind of decreasing a little bit, but Haku clung close against her master and increased his temperature in order to make her feel warmer. With a small smile formed with her lips, Noir would pet Haku for being a very caring pet before noticing that someone she knew was also there. “Greetings, Miss Ani.” The black haired girl waved towards the blue haired girl while letting Haku to approach Hoyo only to give their usual friendly nose touching greetings. However, this was not the time to chilling around; Noir remembered that she needed to find a small boy inside this tent. Yet, something in this room made the female magician wondered about what kind of secret that this room might have. So she wandered around the dim lit room, carefully stepping as she didn’t want to disturb Ani who was commanding her beast to do something.

Showing no expression when noticing that the portal where she came in from was now gone, the black haired sighed. She knew she needed to explore the place first and after that there might be some clue that will lead her to the exit or to somewhere else. Her first stop was the window, it was big enough for her to fit through it so she would take a look at the window, hoping there was something that she could see while letting Ani to open the red colored wooden chest. Then, she would examine the sigils and symbols carved on wood, wondering if it was some kind of a magical mechanism. If nothing happened, she would use her time wisely and went to observe the wooden chest on their left. She heard light footsteps and door slam, but it could wait maybe since she knew that there was a door that they could access. She was more curious about this chest, but she wanted to make sure first so she asked Haku to sniff on it just to be safe. However, the beast didn’t find something suspicious from the chest, or rather, couldn’t tell at all. So the black haired girl would carefully open the chest, waiting until she could see what was inside.

Yakuroro suddenly found himself in a strange room that did not look like the interior of the tent he'd expected to walk into. Looking behind himself, he'd barely catch a glimpse of the way they came in vanishing out of existence. "Hmm..." This was some powerful magic. Yakuroro had never seen anything like it before...well, at least not outside of a dungeon. The top hat wearing man from before. A tent that has a dungeon-like portal. This was shaping up to be an enigmatic experience. Yaku felt both excited and concerned at the same time. The Imuchakk was eager to learn much in this place, but he also felt as though he had wandered into a place that was somewhat less than safe.

The nature of the room he'd entered and how there was no way out made Yakuroro wary of the idea that it was a trap. There were two others there with him, somehow Ani had appeared in the room with them. As the two girls greeted each other, Yakuroro gave only an affirming nod. His focus had already shifted from the two to the sigils beneath their feet. The Imuchakk knelt down and stroked one of them trying to decipher their meaning. He also tried feeding a bit of magoi into them curious if they worked like the magic circles that adorned all magic tools. He would look up afterwards if nothing happened to see the other two going for the chests.

Yakuroro felt this was a trap of some sort, but he would move to open the third chest anyways, curiosity getting the better of him.

The two girls peered outside seeing the magnificence of their surrounding. They are now inside a very tall structure overlooking a fantastical landscape below. It is unfortunate that they were too high up to actually make sense on the surroundings but it would still give them a sense of scope as to how big the place really is. Cold wind blows outside and it would numb their faces if they peer outside too long.

The pull of curiosity was strong on each of the participants. Even if they know at the back of their heads that what lays before them is a trap they just couldn't help but examine the chests that is within the room.

All of the participants opened their respective chests. Ani opened the red chest while Yakuroro and Noir opened the wooden chests on each side. The chests are not locked which might surprise them and also it doesn't seem to be trapped. If they examine the inside of the chest they would see on each of the chest a stone tablet.

Before they can take a closer look on the tablets or take them they would notice the bottom of the chest changing. It is as if they are looking at the inside of a newly butchered ox, beating, moving, alive. Sharp Fangs and dripping green fluid emerged from the boundaries of the chest's opening. The chests revealed their true forms, monsters that prey on the greedy. This all happened within a split second, then they would each charge forward at their top speed to bite down on the prey nearest to them. The red mimic would attack Ani that is directly in front of it, the left wooden mimic would attack Yakuroro while the right wooden mimic would attack Noir.

Enemies:

OOC: The room is 10m in diameter and the chests are each located on the extreme sides of it touching the wall. The two wooden chests are about 10m away from each other and the red chest is about 7m away from either chests.

The black haired girl slowly opened the chest only to see a stone tablet inside it, but the moment when Haku growled towards it, Noir could only gulp hard and was taken aback when she notice the inside of the chest had changed into something that looked like a creature's inside. It was beating, it was moving and it was definitely alive. At that time she recalled that all of them were opening each chest and it seemed no one has notice about this gruesome trap. So without waiting, she whispered to the rukh and cast Thunder Bullets towards the wooden mimic near her before it can go towards Yaku, followed by casting Scossa Goccia towards the chest near Ani. After that she would cast Fulmine Coccio towards the chest near Yakuroro and commanded Haku to use his doubled speed and dashed 20 m/s to the wooden mimic before it can get towards her. Then the ligerused his claw and scratched the chest, following by biting it, shredding it into pieces.  If all the mimics was defeated, then she would ask if everyone was alright and then go to take a look at the sigils, examining it a little bit more.

Ani have sprung the trap as soon as she opened the chest. She was surprised and unable to move as the Red Mimic bite hard on her right arm crushing her radius and ulna. Without proper healing she will not be able to use her broken limb.

The other two chests charged towards their target. Noir was alert because of Haku's primal senses, as soon as she saw the chest turning into something else she managed to step back and conjure four lightning bullets and send them towards the wooden mimic in front of her. The mimic opened it's mouth for a bite but Noir sent 4 huge bullets towards it engulfing it in lightning. It stopped moving and falls down to the ground like a normal wooden chest.

Noir would then turn around and see the two other chests attacking her companions. Ani is already being bitten by a red chest while the other wooden chest is charging towards Yakuroro while he is busy examining the pattern at the center of the room.

Noir creats 2 lightning spears and threw them towards the chest that is charging towards Yaku. It opened it's mouth wide and the lightning spears hits it inside it's mouth. The mimic flies backward from the force of the attack and hits the back wall. Like the one before it, also turned back into a normal wooden chest.

The Red Mimic clamps tightly on Ani sending intense pain to the poor imuchakk causing both her arms and her right leg to be immobilized.

Noir summoned 8 electrically charged ice balls to attack the Red Mimic. Unfortunately the mimic is already closed and it only hit the outside part of it. Noir's attack was completely nullified by the red mimic's outer shell.

If nothing is done to the Red Mimic it would open up it's mouth again to Bite down the immobile Ani trapping her inside the chest. After releasing a nerve gas filling the room.

Yakuroro was engrossed in his inspection of the sigil circle on the ground. Its torran inscription was cryptic and somewhat incomplete as the outer edge had been worn beyond legibility. "Hmm...a puzzle?" The Imuchakk magician said to himself as he reached down and found that he could turn and shift the rings of sigils to align them in different ways. He would leave it at its default configuration however as a sudden commotion stole Yaku's attention away from the mystery at hand. Greed had overtaken one of the other two adventurers actions and in doing so, she had triggered some kind of attack.

Thankfully, the girl he hardly knew had some kind of conscience. By the time Yaku looked up it was just soon enough to see Noir's spell crashing into the mimic that was rushing towards him. "Oh my...thank you." There was a surprised but generally calm look on Yaku's face as he gave his gratitude, the magician knowing full well that his borg would have protected him had the monster been allowed to make it's approach. Unfortunately Ani was still in danger from another mimic, one which had managed to defend against Noir's magical assault as it simultaneously imposed damaging torture upon the Imuchakk girl.

Yaku thought silently to himself, "What a waste of magoi..."

The magician aimed the tip of his staff towards the chest that was still clamped down on Ani's limb and decided that he would do his part to help. After all, abandoning Ani to her fate here would likely only serve to lose good will with the two beast-partnered girls. He already thought this place and its contents were the mechanisms of his enemies. The last thing Yaku needed was two more foes to deal with. "Resonance Wave!" The command was declared clearly as blue and green rukh set to work at following the orders they were given. Using a sizable mass of magoi as fuel, Yaku fired his spell at the mimic just as it began to open its mouth. Before that mouth could close or spew gas, it would be struck with a powerful magic.

The next few moments for Ani were a blur as she saw the stone tablet she wondered what it was and was ready to read it only to be surprised. She thought Noir's attack would save her, but soon enough she was bit and it caused her to bite into her lip roughly. It was even worse as she felt the creature clamping down on her the pain was intense. She couldn't feel her arms, or left leg causing her to worry somewhat over what was going to happen to her. She grit her teeth and when it opened her mouth she saw Yaku attacking. Knowing that Hoyo wasn't strong enough to take this beast out and she didn't want to see him get hurt by this creature. She waited to see if Yaku's attack hit the creature. Whether, or not Yaku was able to save her she thrusted her good leg forward to knee it for good measure.

Noir managed to killed two wooden chest mimics, but she clicked her tongue when the red mimic completely nullified her attack and proceeded to chomp Ani. Luckily for the female Imuchakk, Yakuroro cast his magic and saved her  from the chest before using her movable leg to attack the mimic. Should the creature died because of the attack from the Imuchakk Mage, Noir would approach Ani and helped her to get away from the mimic's remaining. "Miss Ani... Stay still." The black haired girl said and then whispered to the rukh and feed her magoi to her Bracelet, casting Heal All to heal any injuries that she might have from the mimics attack. After that, Haku would approached Hoyo and nuzzled before the liger stay close with the black haired girl, knowing that something might appear. The female magician would then approach the male Imuchakk who was now examining the sigils, she wondered if he could read the symbols and figured out what was it. "Perhaps you know something about this sigils? We need to quickly figure it out and chase the little boy, I guess..."
