Job:

Zadi walked outside the Reim Historical Society's building and tried to catch up to Chimera. He wanted to know what she wanted to talk about and why it couldn't have been conveyed sooner. Perhaps something only for Zadi's ears? Only way to know would be to actually talk. However, Zadi wasn't but a few steps out of the Reim Historical Society's HQ's threshold when a group of mysterious attackers appeared and started to assault the Reim Historical Society. Zadi didn't know quite what was going on nor did he feel like he should get involved. Not like he hadn't already memorized what he thought to be important from the society's manuscripts.

All the same, Zadi turned back to Chimera to see what she would do, "Hey, so...should we help out?"

Chimera was trying to assess the situation, as she balanced the pros and cons of interfering on behalf of Reim's Historical Society. As she pondered what was going on, she peaked through to the outside through one of the windows. One of the figures that seemed like the leader was a magician, and it was casting a spell. In moments, the magician's staff had brought a fireball into existence, sending it spewing forth against the building.

Chimera's body recoiled at the site of the fire. As if her body was unnaturally afraid of the flames in particular. "I think we should take care of them. There has to be a reason they're attacking, and with this timing it must have to do with these manuscripts." Chimera wasn't too sure, but it made sense to her. "Hey, can you handle the mage...?" She tried to not show her fear, but it was obvious to a point. Chimera set down her manuscripts and she stood up, preparing herself for a fight.

Chimera looked into the commotion and seemed to shutter at the sight of the dark magician's heat magic. Unsurprising, thought Zadi, due to her new 'complexion' being easily 'tarnished' by heat. Being made of wood can really up your fear of fire. However, that didn't seem to sway her other thoughts on the matter. Chimera asked Zadi to take care of the dark magician, probably in hopes that Zadi could easily vanquish such a foe without her getting burned in the process. Zadi wasn't disappointed in Chimera for not standing up to her fear. It would take time to get closer to such weakness and eventually vanquish them herself. However, Zadi, with a disgruntled look, went inside and began to take on the dark magician, "Pfft, fine. You better take care of the others while I'm at it."

And so, Zadi was inside, looking at the 'ring leader' of this heist. A rather poor heist with too much violence involved, but that may be to poorly cover up their objective of stealing the manuscripts. Kind of obvious what with the manuscripts having just been organized out in the open, more or less. Today's fight will consist of Zadi using only magic. He would not touch his sword for he did not wish to weaken his borg, much less his physical defense. Zadi has died twice by fire and wishes to stay alive when facing it a third time, give or take a couple other times he survived fiery encounters. Zadi got out his wand and was about to cast a spell when the dark magician got in the first strike, forcing Zadi to make the second move.

The dark magician started off the fight against Zadi with Fuego! while Zadi defended himself with a ball of magoi shot into the floor. The fire hit Zadi's borg allowing Zadi to be unscathed. What the ball of magoi was for you may ask? Well, simply put, it was to set up Zadi's Blade Dance spell which, while the fireball hit Zadi's borg, sent a 10 meter tall blade of earth towards the dark magician at point blank range, shattering his borg. Two points for Zadi and one point for the darkly clad magician. If the battle continued with a volley of spells, Zadi would surely win.

Chimera smiled softly as Zadi agreed to taking care of the magician, as long as she agreed to take care of the two other attackers. They didn't seem to be much of a threat, even together, they didn't quite seem like the threat of the magician. Maybe because magic was still so foreign to her and it had very few limitations, when she saw the blades in the two grunts hands, she could pretty much imagine every single form of their attacks. Chimera decided she would just finish them off in a quick way. Her hands began to wind up as she performed Underground Railroad. Her body dipped into the floors surface, arms first. Her arms drilled beneath the ground as her body descended through the darkness.

She let herself be taken by the force of her arms, traveling at a speed of twenty meters per second. She slowed and soon stopped as she estimated her position relative to the goons, she popped beneath the ground, startling them. She performed a combo on the one closest to her, her arm shape shifted to that of a lion's paw and followed it up with a regular kick to his chest, knocking the enemy down and unconscious.

Chimera heard a sword slash cutting through the air, as her right arm formed scales, and intercepted the attack. Pushing back the attacker creating a bit of space between them to prepare her next move, as she took a look back to Zadi, examining the state of the situation.

The score between Zadi and the darkly clad magician is two and one respectively. Zadi seems to have destroyed the borg of the enemy magician while the enemy magician has simply 'damaged' the borg of Zadi. A continued volley of equally powerful spells between the two mages would surely result in Zadi's victory and obvious defeat for the dark magician. However, what Zadi would be hit with next could turn the tide of the battle.

"Is that all you've got? Too embarrassed to show your face after having your borg shattered? No need, happens to the best of us...except me, hahaha!"
Zadi's taunting didn't really mean anything at this point. Zadi could finish of the mage with another earthly blade if he wanted to, but he kept his cool and simply had his verbal fun.

Unfortunately for Zadi, as stated before, wasn't fully prepared for what came next as an icicle came shooting forth, aimed for the floor near Zadi. Zadi was busy teasing the darkly clad magician to notice that a borg would not help against a supplementary ability and therefore had three of his limbs frozen in place from the ground up. His two legs were obviously frozen while, from some stroke of luck, Zadi's wand-hand was not frozen which left the other, his left arm, almost completely frozen. Zadi grew a little pissed knowing that he could have seen through it if he just paid a little more attention. The darkly clad magician wasn't done yet either for he launched a blob of boiling water at Zadi, too. However, Zadi's borg defended him from the attack for it was offensive in nature unlike the previous icicle.

"Well, it seems I got a little full of myself and let my borg shatter, too. Guess I better step up my game-"

Whist saying 'game' Zadi launched his signature spell, so to speak, Kthyr Alyzr grouped into a single, A-tier powerful attack that would likely vaporize the darkly clad magician if he or she could not dodge the attack.

Thankfully for the darkly clad magician, he or she was able to dodge the oncoming attack simply by stepping to the side at 5 m/s. However, would that be the end to Zadi's spell?

The darkly clad magician thought he dodged Zadi's attack and prepared another attack against Zadi only to have the spell he thought he dodged hit him in the back at full power, defeating the darkly clad magician in an instant. Zadi was glad that this fight ended so nicely. Granted, Zadi was still stuck in the ice which was starting to nip at his frozen fingers and toes. Hopefully the ice wouldn't last long enough to become a future impediment. Unfortunately, it would be a short term impediment for the darkly clad goons seemed very close to getting their hands on the scrolls and manuscripts. However, without a certain magician helping them burn the documents to ashes, they attempted to cut them to pieces. However, Zadi might be able to save the day using his words!

"If you so much as TOUCH those documents, I'll vaporize you with my magic like I did your 'friend' over there!"

The darkly clad goons seemed a little shaken and angry at the news that their friend was defeated. They thought the darkly clad magician had won the fight due to Zadi being frozen! The words Zadi spouted rang through their ears like a wildfire through a dry forest. Fortunately for them, Zadi was frozen in place and unable to turn around. The goons snickered as they found a ripe opportunity to maim a seemingly helpless individual who stupidly threatened them. However, they hesitated a little after looking back at their magician companion. He was defeated even though the enemy was frozen. The goons knew they didn't have much time to act, so one of them went over to try and kill Zadi from behind while the other watched on, ready to hack the documents to pieces. What happens next will be up to Zadi...

Zadi was just barely able to see the goon closets to the documents who looked to be ready to tear them all to pieces. Zadi didn't seem to be in any position to fight back being frozen and all, so the other goon was most likely behind Zadi, ready to maim the frozen magician out of amusement. However, what the goons seem to have failed to realize was that Zadi defeated their magician companion WHILE being frozen. Zadi didn't know what was going on in the goons' minds, but he knew full well that he could beat them if he just cast the proper spells in time.

"Attacking me from the back while preparing to tear the documents to pieces, eh? Going to take more than that to win, hahaha!"

The goon that was ready to attack Zadi seemed to have gotten irritated and attempted to Cut Zadi at 15 m/s from a couple meters away. Zadi could hear the footsteps behind him and used Ball to hit the blade out of focus and shortly thereafter hit the darkly clad goon square in the head, knocking him out for the rest of this endeavor. The other goon was looking on and got scared at what he just saw. A floating black sphere defeating his buddy, even though the enemy magician was frozen. Now knowing the full scope of Zadi's power, the final goon attempted to run away with the documents, probably to dispose of them elsewhere. However, Zadi wasn't about to let that happen and chased after the goon using Ball. The goon didn't give up easily and Parried the sphere, or at least tried to. Zadi was able to redirect the black sphere away from the goon's defense and hit the goon's legs, tripping the goon which subsequently knocked said goon unconscious with the documents scattered and disorganized again, to a degree.

The Historical Society members looking on thanked Zadi for his efforts and attempted to thank Chimera. However, both the members of the Historical Society and Zadi were unable to locate Chimera within eye-sight. Where did she go? Was she kidnapped by a fourth darkly clad goon!? Zadi became rather frustrated not knowing where Chimera went, but he knew that wherever she may be, she was strong enough to not only defend herself, but also live a proper life. Granted, that life may be as a slave trader, but Zadi didn't seem to mind at this point. He was given a reward for saving the documents and defeating the darkly clad people, and asked to look over some more documents...that is, after he thaws out.
