Tiberius enjoys making assortment of things. Sometimes they work, most of the time it blows on his face. The thing he enjoys most is trying to emulate magic with the use of natural science sometimes even working better than magic like when he made fire that can't be doused by water.
Tiberius doesn't believe in any religion, rather he believes in the power of normal men and their philanthropic nature. He believes that man is good by nature and will naturally do good things if given the choice.
He always say whatever in his mind. Actually he usually mumbles and accidentally say whatever in his mind whether it's good or bad. He always thinks before acting and by that means he thinks out loud. He said that it he's a hearer, he remembers things better if he can hear it.
Tiberius is most comfortable if he's by himself making things and tinkering his father's mechanical spider. He's shy and awkward when among crowds. But when the topic comes about advancement and new things you can't shut him up easily when he gets started.
If you go inside Tiberius' workshop be careful on not touching any of his stuff. Even though it might look disorganized and a mess he says that he knows where everything is and he likes it that way.
He also have a short attention span on anything other than his inventions. He always abruptly stops everything he's doing if he got an idea and start scribbling and thinking about new things he can do even when in a middle of a conversation.
Likes:
- Technology: Tiberius like the advancement of the technology on the present world. Like the ships and black powder and hot air balloons. He wants to continue contributing on the progress happening.
- Magic: Tiberius is in awe with magic and everything that it can do. He likes talking to magicians and studying their scrolls and notes on magic and other applications of magic.
- Lost Technology: The perfect marriage of magic and technology. If given the chance he would reverse engineer all magic tools in the world just to figure out what makes it tick.
Dislikes:
- Politics: Tiberius don't like politics. He doesn't like the thought of pandering to politician to give you budget and dictate what you can and can't research. He'd rather be in his workshop tinkering on something than in front of people trying to judge whether he's doing something right or wrong.
- Closed Mindedness: Tiberius is pissed of people that already decided that they are right and gives the reasons why they are right in a debate. Tiberius likes finding out that he's wrong. If he's wrong then there is something new he can learn and that's the reason he gets up everyday. It would be a sad day for Tiberius if one day he wakes up and he knows everything and there's nothing else to discover.
Aspirations:
Tiberius' greatest aspiration is to make magic attainable to everyone through technology and without the use of magoi. Tiberius has a lot of respect for magicians and see how important they are to everyone around them. He can see how the magicians around him help a lot of people out of the goodness of their hearts. If everyone have access to magic then they would be able to help each other more efficiently. And the world will be safer from all the protection the faux magic items can bring.
Phobias/fears:
- Social Phobia:
- Tiberius has a hard time talking to people. He can rarely even look people in the eye while speaking to them. He have severe nausea, tunnel vision, and lightheaded every time he try to start a conversation. He tries as hard as he can to subdue this fear.
When in a crowd of people he always have a feeling of being watched and that everyone is talking about him. Everyone is judging him. He knows in his head that this is absurd. But knowing and feeling are different things.
This is the reason Tiberius prefer to stay alone in his workshop tinkering.
The only way Tiberius can talk in public is if he's talking about magic and technology. Mainly because when he talks about things he likes he feels he's in a world all by himself. This is the only way you can see the real Tiberius.

History:
- History:
- Tiberius is the sixth son of the most powerful magician clan in Magnostadt. His family members holds high positions in Magnostadt with most of them being highly respected professors in each of their fields. Despite all of this, Tiberius doesn't have the ability for magic. He can't see or feel any magoi around him. He is a goi.
Tiberius adores magic and everything it can do. He always watch in awe as his siblings practice their spells and incantation on the family backyard. Sometimes they even spar with each other and Tiberius just watch as the whole yard is filled with magnificent display of magical prowess. When he was young, Tiberius dreams of becoming a magician. His brothers and sisters tries their best to teach Tiberius how to use magic but it is all of no avail. It is clear that Tiberius doesn't have a gift of magic.
Though not having a gift of magic, it doesn't deter Tiberius on learning all he can about it. Tiberius is not allowed to go outside much because his father know how goi are seen in the city of Magnostadt so he spends all of his time reading all of the scrolls and books about magic he can find. He even ask his brothers and sisters if they could borrow some more reading materials from the Magnostadt Library. Tiberius spends most of his days learning about magic and it's intricacies. Tiberius know how all magic should work, but knowing how it should work and making it work is vastly different.
His father works for Magnostadt research and development division and sometimes brings home experimental magic tools to work with. He would sneak in and tinker with these magic tools whenever his father is not home. He had a knack of disassembling the magic tools and reassembling them again thinking his father wouldn't notice it. Unbeknownst to Tiberius, his father does noticed what he was doing. He watched as Tiberius learned the inner workings of the device. Even though he can't manipulate the magic in it, he still tries his hardest to understand it. Seeing Tiberius' determination from learning his father decides to support him with this endeavor.
Tiberius father started giving him all the resources he can have about magic tools. His father even slip out research papers from the division so that Tiberius can copy it and learn from it. His father even take more experimental magic tools to Tiberius. The research division doesn't care too much, actually they like that Tiberius father is taking it home. Because whatever it is that he is doing, the experimental magic tools always comes back better than before.
Years past and Tiberius is now 19 he became more and more versed with magic tools and magics. Though he feels that something is missing. Though he is happy of all the knowledge he got, he still wanted to be able to use that knowledge himself. Just then Tiberius heard about the country to the west of Magnostadt called Reim.
TIberius learned about how the people of Reim is able to make explosions without the use of magic. Tiberius knew that this is what he was looking for. To be able to do magical things without the use of magic. So he explained this to his father and his father approved. Tiberius prepared to set out for Reim.
Before Tiberius can board the boat to Reim, he received a gift from his father. It's a magic tool that is able to move by it's own. It's a metal automaton that is infused with both life magic and strength magic. Tiberius father explained that he can program commands to it by saying the command and then manually moving the automaton then saying the command again. By doing this the manual movement is recorded inside the automaton and if he utters the command the second time it will do the movement associated with the command. His father told him to take care of it and when he return to Magnostadt he would have another surprise waiting for Tiberius. Tiberius say his farewell to his family and board the boat bound to Reim.
Tiberius found his home in Reim, the place powered by geards and by hand of man, the place where he belongs. He marvels in the ingenuity of the people and the things they can do even without the help of magic. At least that's what he thinks. When Tiberius tried to talk to people he realized that all his life, the only people he knew are his family. Tiberius have a hard time even asking for direction. He would have tunnel vision and his palm would sweat then he would get nauseous.
A Reim Scholar approached Tiberius to inquire about his little spider automaton that seems to have a life of its own. Tiberius explained in great detail things about the spider automaton. The Scholar was amazed and took Tiberius back to his abode. He then tested Tiberius knowledge about other things, like magic. Tiberius also showed great knowledge about the subject so the Scholar suspects that he is also a magician, but alas when asked to cast magic Tiberius was not able to do so. Disappointed, he sent Tiberius out to the street. Once again Tiberius has nowhere else to go.
He walked across Reim not knowing where to go and running away from people's judgmental gazes towards him. The sound of metal on metal calls to him it reminds him of home while he's tinkering magic tools. It comforts him and he follows the sound. Tiberius then stumbled on a smithy. He is lucky that the just lost a son the same age of Tiberius. He fed him and offers a roof over his head.
Tiberius is really grateful for the smith's kindness. He wanted to give back to the smith. Tiberius asks to help around the smith as an apprentice. The smith agrees even on the verge of tears.
Five years passed since Tiberius first come to Reim. He almost forgot the reason he came to Reim in the first place. He is now a full fledged smith and can run the smith by himself. But then a news came, a news from Magnostadt, a news from his family about his father.
Role-Play Sample:
Tiberius sits in a dark room, the only light source that can be found is in front of him. Sparks of light flash outiat an uneven intervals. On the table lies a contraption very alien in nature. It has 6 appendages and Tiberius is tinkering on an intricate part of the contraption that have runes and tubes all around.
"First I have to connect this to that... then I'll air this out and re-write that rune over there... I should probably also check if the flow of magoi is still clear from this chamber to this..." Tiberius mumbles under his breath.
