Checking it out!

Usually, when someone is asked to do a case study for the local institution, they jump at the chance to assist. However, Kaveh found no such thrill in this assignment. He was volunteered to assist in such an endeavour and wouldn't be satisfied by its completion in any bit. However, his mother, the person he would DIE for, is the one who volunteered his services. She was quite literally the only reason the heat magician was still in the sand covered land known as Heliohapt. When she notified her son of the assignment, Kaveh's initial reaction caused her to stifle a giggle. She was still amused at how animated her son could be when it came to these types of things. It wasn't long before Kaveh ceased his protesting and accepted the journal from his mother with a a smile. Night started to take over and Kaveh and his mother retired for the evening.

Kaveh awoke early and rose with the sun the next day. He figured that the sooner he did this research, the sooner that he could not be bothered by the higher ups in Heliohapt. However, there was something about the citadel that kept him a little interested. However, he would not be able to enter that place now... he would have to improve a bit first. That would require him to go to the land where he was born. The land that was devoted to the improvement of magic: Magnostadt. Either way, the magician slipped on his cloak and made his way to the roof of his home, preparing to survey the land.

The magician pulled his jeweled pipe from his pocket and placed it into his mouth. He lit the pipe and took a deep hit of the tobacco. Kaveh put his hand on the bowl of his pipe as he exhaled and the jewel on the bowl started to shine. Kaveh slowly started to ascend thanks to his Gravity Lift, holding his journal in his left hand and his pipe in his right. It was long before he was floating mid air and heading towards the outskirts of the city.

Kaveh sighed as he slowly descended. He made it out far enough to where he could check out some of the wildlife here and there. He left his pipe in his mouth, holding it in place with his teeth. He flipped open the journal he was given to document all of the necessary details and sighed once more. This is so boring... they're probably just doing this to make me feel involved He thought to himself as he started writing down notes on the vegetation around him. There wasn't much in the area he had come across. A few shrubs here and there, a cactus or two showing itself. The younger magician smiled. He did enjoy seeing the nature of his "homeland" of Heliohapt. Despite being from Magnostadt, Kaveh and his family WERE accepted by the people here.

Kaveh finished his notes on the vegetation around and began to walk again. He was searching for any and all kinds of animals in the area. He stopped as he was met eye-to-eye with a rather large snake. He had no reason to document it, because EVERYONE in Heliohapt had knowledge of the snakes in the area. His left eye twitched as the reptile remained in place as if to impede the magician's path. Kaveh leaned his head slightly to the side as his temper temper rose. The snake was startled by the sudden appearance of the fire around the magician and slithered away in retreat.

Kaveh chuckled at this and continued down his path. He noted a few of the Ibexes and foxes around the area, making sketches of them and writing in excruciating detail of their habits. If I do this well enough, maybe the university will finally leave me alone. he thought to himself. He continued to scout after these animals until the sun began to set. Hmph. Should be time to head back now.. He thought to himself as he reached for his pipe and took it from his lips. He used his gravity lift to leave that area, dropping the journal off at the University before heading home.
