The Manta Express [Lagi/Solo]

Since the baby manta needed time to mature and fully develop, Lagi decided to make do with what he had instead. The bad part was over; the Manta was fully subdued and would listen to whatever Lagi told them to do. However, that was only half of the job, as Lagi had to give these things a completely different job to do now. The reason why the  captured the manta was due to the fact that he wanted to create an entirely new system that could improve the current trade routes that Reim had.  On the ground, caravans were exposed to a lot of things, such as bandits and thieves. Important people may be killed in the process, families would be broken. Also, travelling itself is led to be dangerous due to the amount of wild animal that an individual would supposedly come across. With this new system, Lagi was hoping that he could eliminate all of those complications and make travelling  and transportation of goods a lot easier.

“The service wouldn’t  be free of course,  it should be a split joint of the Reim government along with me and my clan. We got to make money somehow, multiple sources of income is always the way to go. “ After that small instance of brainstorming, Lagi turned to the manta that seemed to be stationary and awaiting orders. “Alright, Hah!”  Lagi would say as he whiplashed his whip on the ground in order to issue a command to the beasts.
It’s about time we get started!” Lagi started to teach the Manta that he broke and that were under his control  a few proper flight routes  that they would take. He also taught them not to be so overly aggressive, due to the fact that some of the loading for the goods might not always have an el nagi member present to keep them in check.  The first thing that Lagi had to process was the amount of weight that each manta can handle depending on their age.

“This is going to take a while……” Lagi was hard at work as he continued to train the manta tirelessly. It was up to the point that he would fall asleep n his throne at the end of the day by accident after meeting with his quota of having a specific number of audiences. Maybe it seemed a bit vain, but Lagi believed that the Manta could really help.  After a week or so, Lagi finally managed to teach the Manta how to handle luggage, as well as  taught them various waypoints across the country that they can reach themselves, and specific command that they could follow in order to prove the most success of keeping them under control.

Lagi made sure that he always tailed them with Zygus whenever he  did,  Lagi  was leading the way a few times while giving the Manta an ounce of discipline so they wouldn’t fly off track. The people of reim could see the metal bird and the Manta in the sky, holding luggage and goods.  “Well, I mean, the first thing that managed to get out of the way was the weight training itself.  I just have to domesticate them up to the point that people could be safe riding them.

Abilities and Profession Perks used

The next week, Lagi spent his time getting the manta more used to human interaction. There would be a few Reim civilian and the like that might need to travel to the western front or anything. Besides having luggage, it’s just as important if the people of Reim are able to use the Ravenous Manta to travel from place to place. After a lot of dedication to showing the Manta kindness, along with feeding the Manta their favorite snacks from time to time, the Manta started to get accustomed to human interaction in general. It was a given for the El Nagi, Lagi, and the business owners that wanted to use The El Nagi’s new service. There was a few tests that Lagi had going about, he started giving people free rides on the manta to wherever they wanted to go, even if it was a small place across the city of Reim that would take about two to three hours on foot, or one hour on horse. Flying made things a bit easier, as well as this entire operation of giving free rides giving Lagi a good promotion to start with. It would definitely encourage the people’s faith in the product if Lagi made the first few days of the travelling expenses free. Once they are hook on how convenient it is, it should be good for business. “ and if it doesn’t work, I guess I am a completely refined idiot. “ This has gone on for a few days, after the week that Lagi had the Manta settle in with human interaction.

In comparison to horse caravans and travelling merchant lines, it has received some good responses as a service in general. The el nagi clan has a great knowledge about the land, as well as migration times and territories that the manta might pass through with their flight path. The manta were to pass through a territory to make the flights even shorter, Lagi made sure that the area itself was not supremely aggressive or hostile in retrospect. These flight paths were saving time, which was something that Lagi was trying to go for. As a matter of fact, Lagi wondered if he should even tell the Council what he’s trying to do, even though there have been some deaths and Lagi had the strangest feeling that Shylock dying in particular was going to affect them negatively. “Oh I just remembered!” With the manta, Lagi and the rest of Reim could somehow gain ownership over Shylock’s wares and continue the business that he had going on in a much faster pace. Well, it’s not like it’s a bad idea, the Manta need a bit more tuning up. “With the grander expectations that Lagi had for the Manta, he continued to not only teach them basic routes and flight patterns, but went out of his way to teach them a few paths similar to where shylock would go in order to handle his own business.

The manta were almost near perfect in terms of handling goods and handling people, Lagi just needed a bit more time in order to make it better. “ After two more weeks, a month has passed after getting the manta in tip top shape in order to have them act as an alternate travelling force. “Ahh, I finally got these babies up and running…..” Lagi would say as he sits around the new port, watching the Manta get some work done, Lagi was especially proud to the fact that he was determined enough and kept enough interest in his project before he gave up on it midway. That how Lagi usually is, but he didn’t allow it to happen this time . “Alright, only time will tell if this is useful.
