This was the first time that Lagi has entered the coliseum, he was brave enough to accept the challenge that the blue haired giant issued to him. It was a sign of respect towards a man that bore an ill intent towards Lagi for whatever reason, even though he fought alongside the giants like a brother in arms.  Lagi didn’t understand what the cause of this was. Maybe the tribeswoman had something planned for him in a sense, or maybe this was completely unrelated?” it didn’t matter….” That was the conclusion that Lagi came towards. He was a fighting king, a man that stood among his comrades on the battlefield if he needed to. Maybe the dark metal vessel was the reason for all of these accusations, but that just stood as the ultimate form of sacrifice that lagi had to make in order to get where he was. It’s one thing to judge a man for his path, but such  zealot like  attitude towards your own path should forbade anyone else’s, the only one man who had the ability to judge another was God himself. He was not God and Lagi was no coward. The people of Reim was spectating him, these were the people that he wanted to believe in him. He had no intention to lose and dishonor himself among the people of Reim, Lagi had to show his strength as not only the king, but a member of the El Nagi Clan.

Lagi entered the coliseum mounted ontop of Zygus , there were the standard coliseum weapons all around the walls for the standard challenger that didn’t bare any special arms, but Lagi had everything he needed. He had his bow, his items, and his partners.  Lagi would be mounted on Zygus with a firm grip on his bow in the middle of the coliseum, which was 85 inches in the center. Zygus had an open position with his wings slightly out, preparing himself for a swift takeoff if needed to.  Orie was stationary inside of Lagi, simply awaiting her master to call her out. The angelic brace remained on the left arm of Lagi.  They were completely ready, this was the king’s debut in the coliseum

Items Yaku Brought:

((I'm not sure what "85 inches in the center" means, but I'm going to assume you are in the very center since you do say as much. ALSO, Orie is waaaaaay too big to fit entirely inside your body without displacing some organs or making you explode now. Host Body does not give him the ability to shrink. So I'm just going to post as if he's spilling out of Lagi all over the place as I assume you don't want to start the match out dying instantly as a result of your freakishly large amoeba trying to squeeze itself into your tiny human body.))

Yakuroro had prepared for the match as best he could. It was a surprise that the coliseum had managed to ensure Yakuroro did not take his metal vessel into the arena battlegrounds, but then again, Yakuroro wouldn't have been using it in the first place if he could help it. "Why did I have to say that..." Yakuroro grumbled to himself as he thought back the the nigh of the ball where he'd issued a challenge to Lagi. It seemed like a good enough idea at the time when Yakuroro was gripped by fear and confusion. But now that he was standing in the waiting room before the match, Yakuroro found himself regretting it.

With a sigh, the Imuchakk stood as someone told him it was time for his match to start. "You ready, Tetsu?" The magician asked. His chimera son snorted and nodded in reply. Akatetsu was ready to fight by his father's side this time. The last instance of fighting a man held by the black rukh Yakuroro had spoke of, Tetsu was sent off so he wouldn't get in the way. Yakuroro had tried to tell the beast to not fight with him this time too, but Akatetsu wouldn't hear it. The beast nudged Yakuroro onto his back and headed down tunnel leading into the sunlight where their fate awaited both of them.

Yakuroro held a hand up to his eyes as they entered he coliseum and the sound of the crowd rained down on them as heavily as the sun had. Spotting King Lagi in the center, Yakuroro gave a silent prayer thankful that there were no black rukh fluttering around him. Looking down at Akatetsu, Yakuroro frowned and reached down to path his head. "I know you want to fight together, but this just isn't right after all..." The Imuchakk dismounted from his beast companion and stood next to him instead, "If you're going to fight by my side, then it doesn't make sense for me to be looking down at you." Yaku said cheerfully.

Hearing Yakuroro's words, Akatetsu's eyes teared up for a second as he felt a great deal of joy. "Gyarwaaar!" The beast gave a roar in elation and then focused on the enemy in front of them roughly 75m away. At this distance, Lagi hardly seemed like a very large and clear image but much about him seemed strange. There was an odd goo-like substance pouring out from him in several places and he seemed to be rather okay with this condition as though it were natural for him.

Yakuroro and Akatetsu would approach 10m making the distance between them 65m total before stopping and waiting. This was also his first time in the coliseum and Yakuroro did not really know what to do or what was expected of him. Had the match already started? He wasn't sure.

Liber had been keeping track of the coliseum curious to see whether or not King Lagi would have really accepted Yakuroro's challenge made during the coronation ball. To his surprise, the fight was set up fairly quickly and at last the day of the duel had arrived. Liber secured a good seat in the audience that would give a nice view of the entire battleground and made himself comfortable as he waited for the fight to start. Before the battle, Liber had placed down a large bet on Yakuroro's victory so he was invested in the outcome. After seeing the magician deal with one of the men on the way to Remano, Liber was sure that he could give King Lagi a run for his money. This would also be a good chance to see what the teenage King was made of.

The fight started as soon as Lagi took notice of the opponent entering the arena with a creature. It kind of added to the pressure of winning since his opponent was also a dominance beast user in a sense, on top of it being a creature that Lagi has never seen before. “This guy really knows how to up the stakes……” As he gave a sharp jolt to the side of Zygus in order for him to take off the ground in an upward motion moving forward at 12 M/S, the takeoff itself leaving Zygus and lagi 12 meters off the ground and closing the gap from yak to 53 meters. Another second passing would give the distance differentiation between the two combatants to be 41, which also gotten Lagi and zygus 24 meters off the ground this time. After being 24 meters off the ground, Lagi would take the time to pull back his bow string, which lead to the instantaneous creation of his light arrow in preparation of firing an attack. After being 36 meters off of the ground with the coverage difference between Lagi and Yakuroro to be 29 meters away from each other , it was around that time that Lagi would release the arrow in a simultaneous unison of Zygus firing off some projectiles of his own. Lagi wanted to the waters in order to see what this blue haired giant was made of, only firing a basic light arrow that would travel at 20 m/s with the potential of dealing B rank damage, which would be following 5 metallic shimmer blades that is 5 meters in length and 2 meters in width. Zygus’s archer class would buff up the range of these blades to 20 meters and the speed to 15 m/s, regardless of the fact that the frontal assault of the blades itself would deal D rank damage. The holyn lght would reflect upon the Metallic surface of the blades due to the metallic shimmer itself being a reflective surface, which would look like a mass bright light heading towards the opponent from their point of view. The combination of these attacks would hide Lagi’s arrow, as the intended target of the attack for the arrow was aimed at Yakuroro, with the shimmer blades heading into the directions of the two opponents in general.

((Based on your post, Lagi was 29m away from Yakuroro on a horizontal plane, but was still 36m high off the ground. Doing some basic trigonometry using the pythagorean theorem I have determined that this puts the actual distance between Yakuroro and Lagi to be roughly 46m. This means that you have attacked from outside the effective range of your abilities meaning neither of them will ever reach Yakuroro or Akatetsu.

If you'd like to double check this math, here is a link that can do most of the work for you. You just need to square the final result http://www.freemathhelp.com/q6-right-triangle.html))

The Imuchakk was expecting some kind of signal to let both combatants know that the battle had started. Unfortunately no such warning came other than the sight of King Lagi taking to the air flying upon the bird beast he was riding. The Imuchakk frowned at the idea of an aerial battle. While he had his flying carpet on him and it was certainly possible, the magician would prefer not to rely on flight if he didn't have to. Staying on the ground offered certain advantages that soaring about through the air did not. Aside from being underestimated, Yaku could hide that trick up his sleeve for use later. For now, the Imuchakk placed a hand on Akatetsu's side letting him know to hold his position.

Even as the blob-wearing King flew towards Yakuroro with a bow at the ready, Yakuroro stood his ground and did not try to run or intercept. Lagi was still out of the range of all Yakuroro's spells anyways so for now he would wait and let the teenage royal come to him. Through this waiting, Yakuroro saw the advent of the golden arrow of light and stepped forward to protect Akatetsu from any kind of magical attack with his borg. But the shield born from the love of the rukh would never have to activate as the swift arrow that was let loose towards Yakuroro  cut through the air only to fizzle out before ever reaching him, metallic feathers likewise losing momentum and falling to the ground harmlessly.

Was this a distraction? Yakuroro wondered as he kept an eye out for what Lagi was up to following this failed attack. The Imuchakk had barely moved at first, but now he turned and broke into a run to his left carrying his large Imuchakk body at 3m/s. Akatetsu followed suit and paced himself to run at the same speed allowing himself to act as a living shield between Lagi and Yakuroro. The two would circle around to Lagi's right without getting any closer to him. Yakuroro would be keeping an eye out for the air borne beast tamer as he moved, his position giving him a clear line of sight just past the physical cover that was Akatetsu. "We need to bring him down to the ground at some point. Got any ideas?" Yakuroro would call out only to get a grunt in response from the chimera whom had no means of fighting a flying opponent.

Zygus would actually use that as a distraction as he descends 10 meters while moving forward, making the distance from the ground 24 meters while having the distance from Yakuroro to be 17 meters, Zygus also simultaneously fired off another pair of magnetized blades close towards the other failed shimmer blade attack by about five meter into the ground. Zygus positioned them to be aligned up in front of Yakuroro in a sense in order to initiate a plan of his and Lagi’s. This magnetism had an attracting quality that attracted d rank metals and lower, pulling the d rank shimmer blades from before close towards them so they wouldn’t be so far apart and properly coordinated for an attack. It was around this time that lagi pulled back his bow string to fire another arrow. Afterwards, Zygus would immediately send a magnetic pulse that repelled those metal objects at a high grade speed at yakuroro and the creature, each one being fired off at 25 M/s with a 40 meter range, with Yakuroro having to handle X10 of the 5 meters in length and two meters in width metal shimmers. Heading his way at a top speed, Lagi was betting on the slow reaction time that those blue haired giants were rumored to have. In unison with Zygu’s attack, LAgi release hiss bow string to fire out a Hamon wave end towards yakuroro and the brute for a potential aoe damage. The battle ground was busy on the floor, Yak’s vision temporarily being pulled away from the pulling and random attacks that probably didn’t make any sense until just now.

((Ignore the 404 not found notice and scroll down. There should be a browser based program. Choose Trigonometry and then click on the right triangle symbol. Input the distance between the two point vertically and horizontally, then square the answer.

For this post you were 17m away and 24m up. When I input those values the answer I got was 29.4 meters of distance between us. So, you're in range for at least some of your attacks this time, but there are some serious issues with your post.

I don't believe you are thinking about the positioning of your character relative to other things at all. The first volley feathers you shot out last post couldn't have gone more than 10m before falling to the ground meaning they are no where near Yakuroro and are actually closer to Lagi. The second volley of feathers would stop being effective after moving 10m which means by the time they land near your other feathers more than 10m away from Zygus, they would have lost their magnetic charge. But I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt and say that even outside their effective range they could still be magnetized.

But this doesn't help you. Even if those feathers pull the other feathers towards them, your magnetic push specifically states that the affected metals can't come within 30m of Zygus. Since you are within 30m of them and are primarily above them, they would be pushed downwards for the most part. Not towards Yakuroro. So the initial pulse would send them flying in Yaku's direction only for their trajectory to swiftly move downwards causing them to hit the ground harmlessly. The only way you could have hit Yakuroro with those feathers is if you had lowered to the ground and positioned yourself so they were directly between Yakuroro and Zygus.

But hey, at least you were in range for your last ability. Too bad you fired it from the very edge of the range which gives me enough time to safely escape its effects unharmed. If you feel like I'm wrong about any of this, please feel free to pm me where I'm mistaken as I am happy to edit should I have misunderstood something.))

---

Yakuroro couldn't see through Akatetsu, so the feathers on the ground being pulled and pushed around on the ground were unknown to the Imuchakk. All he could see was Lagi in the air drawing back to fire another arrow. From the nature of the previous arrow, Yakuroro and Akatetsu both now knew that the bow must be some kind of magic tool. Being hit with one of its attacks would not be ideal as there was no telling what kind of destructive force it could erupt into should it actually hit one of its targets. Yakuroro himself had a few spells that seemed small at first but expanded into and explosive large scale attack. With that in mind, the Imuchakk prepared to cast a spell of flight, but he would never get the chance.

While Yakuroro's reaction speed was poor, Akatetsu's was not, and he too was keeping an eye on the flying king and his blob cloak as they sat atop the flying bird. As soon as Akatetsu noticed the motions of firing an arrow, he accelerated to top speed and grabbed Yakuroro using his tail. The magician was placed back onto Tetsu's back as the beast sped forwards at 10m/s. It would take a little over a full second for the arrow to reach the spot where Imuchakk and Chimera had just been standing, but a single second was all Akatetsu needed to clear 10 meters. The total blast diameter of the arrow was 15m meaning that they only needed to get 7m away from its center to be safe.

Akatetsu gave out a roar as if to insist to Yakuroro that riding him would be better, "Gyarwar!" But Yakuroro was too focused on retaliating to respond right away. As the arrow landed behind them and caused a bright flash of light, Yakuroro pointed his staff towards Lagi and shouted, "Flood Domain! Get closer to them Akatetsu!" A large 15m sphere of water was quickly formed at 20m/s first starting to build up around Yakuroro. But the liquid was quickly manipulated to the side and sent flying towards Lagi and Zygus at 20m/s just as Akatetsu turned to start running closer towards them at 10m/s. Since Yakuroro wasn't the one doing the running, he would have complete control over where the sphere moved within a 30m radius and used that control to make the sphere turn and chase after Lagi should he and Zygus try to dodge the blob of water.

If they ever get caught by the sphere, they would find themselves suddenly subjected to an intense myriad of churning currents. The forces of the waters would likely separate the two and send them tumbling around inside the water at 20m/s no longer capable of telling which was was up or down. The force of these currents could possibly tear the weapon from Lagi's hands if he didn't keep a good grip on it, but holding onto his bow would make holding on to Zygus rather difficult.

This was rather interesting in a sense, Lagi didn’t know of himself to be such a foolish fighter with no hope of ever beating someone who not only embarrassed and insulted him at his own party for no reason all, turned his best friend against him, but expected to walk away with much money with the defeat of the king? Is that how he really thought this was going to go down? Despair filled his heart as Lagi tallied everything that this man has done to him, but who needs justification to wrong someone nowadays?”….” Lagi was getting angry, but he still continued to focus on the fight at hand.

Zygus took hold of the simplicity of descending at a relevant speed of 12 m/s in front of where all of the magnetized shimmer blades were located from the previous charge of the magnetic pulse. The initial charge of the magnetic pulse that was being emitted from Zygus’s body planted the shimmer blades them into the ground in front of Zygus due to the original positioning of Zygus in a way that was lined up at a particular angle towards Yakuroro and his beast companion. With the previous of attacks that caused the shimmer to be magnetized in the first place, bringing the 5 metallic d rank metals closer than before, a total of 10 metallic feathers of 5 meters length and 2 meters width to be present; along with the active magnetic pulse coming into effect, all 10 feathers would be launched at 25 m/s with a 30 meter range towards the blue haired giant and his pet upon landing and standing his ground.

During this time, Lagi took the time to pull back his bow string during the descent. Firing previously after at the intended spell for a tier clash of b rank abilities, moving at the same speed with a 20 meter coverage for the two spells to cancel out potentially if they did run into each other, as Lagi dismounted afterwards

Yakuroro had not expected the flying foe to take to the ground, nor the resulting barrage of metal feathers that resulted from the act. Instead of turning to charge towards Lagi head on, Yakuroro would never tell Akatetsu to get closer and instead allowed the chimera to continue circling Lagi with the 17m gap distance between them. This circling motion would allow Yakuroro and his son to run out of the trajectory of a few feathers, but most of them would dig into Akatetsu's flank piercing his scaly hide a few centimeters each. A large majority of the projectiles had stabbed into the bonehead's side pushing him out from underneath Yakuroro and further onwards until outside the range of the magnetic pulse. Only three of the shimmerfeathers had missed him. Meanwhile, Yakuroro's spell casting had not changed, even as he fell to the ground and the massive orb of water manifested between himself and Lagi. The archer's light arrow collided with the spell generating a plume of steam as they clashed, but Yakuroro Sustained his Flood Domain and willed it forwards at full speed.

The 15m sphere was only 2m away from Lagi and crashed forwards at 20m/s making it incredibly difficult for him to react, let alone intercept with another arrow as the waters swirl back into position from the steam cloud as though they had never been evaporated in the first place. It would be a tenth of a second before the churning knot of water currents crashed into Lagi with great force and if they succeeded in doing so he would find himself being tossed around at 20m/s. It would be difficult to keep hold of his beast and weapons and almost impossible to gain orientation as to which way is up or down.

"Tempest Lance!" Yakuroro would then shout as a spear of storm magic formed and launched into the water ball at 20m/s taking another mere tenth of a second. Lightning damage would then suddenly be applied to everything inside the water sphere. The damage of the lightning increased due to the properties of Yakuroro's water magic spell. Immediately following this attack, Yakuroro would pick himself up from the ground and call out to his chimera knowing that he could not afford to look away from Lagi, "Akatetsu!"

Akatetsu gave a groan of suffering and was wincing from the pain of a great many wounds but thankfully each one was not very large. Blood loss would be an issue eventually but for now they would not impact his performance too greatly. The beast shook off the feathers and looked to Yakuroro who was a bit over 10m away. Akatetsu tried to approach closer but the magnetic field prevented him from doing so without suffering pain from the shimmershards still embedded in him. Akatetsu let out a roar as best he could to let Yakuroro know he was alright and then began circling the perimeter of the magnetic field at 3m/s testing the "barrier" for weak points constantly in hopes to rejoin the battle.

The attack being launched by yakuroro was definitely excruciating. Lagi, Orie and Zygus received A rank damage each from the combo move that he applied. Zygus was fine somewhat, he still had the will to keep going and fight due to the resiliency he had, but Orie and lagi took it pretty bad. As a matter of fact,  Lagi had orie to thank for the damages not being too severe, even though she definitely took a lot of damage in the first place . Lagi was pretty sorry that his friend was hurting right now, even though he felt as if there was nothing he could do to help her  as she prioritized lagi  by hardening his tissue and started the regenerative process from inside of him. 1/3 of his injuries being healed by Orie as he continues to hold on tho the will to fight.  Zygus was also being washed around, but he want giving up. No matter what, Lagi still continue to hold onto his bow.

Yakuroro found himself unsattisfied as the storm magic collided with the water magic and shocked Lagi along with all of his beasts inside. The sound of Akatetsu's pained voice and the flutter of black rukh seen at the ball were both fresh in the Imuchakk's mind. Yakuroro didn't know the role Lagi played in the conquering of Reim or how little he had to do with inciting the event. But he assumed that Lagi was either helping or being used by the ambitious monsters from Kou who set up the usurpation. An anger swelling up inside of him, Yakuroro sustained Flood Domain and Tempest Lance keeping his staff trained on the giant ball of water just two meters away. Another spear of thunder clouds manifested and crashed into the water creating a second round of electrocution.

Following this, Yakuroro growled another spell through grit teeth as his knuckles turned white from how hard he was gripping his staff. Lagi had sided with men of dark desire and put Reim in the middle of an international conflict. Lagi had allowed the Kou forces time to consolidate their forces when he could have consolidated his own to defend Reim's sovereignty. While this all wasn't necessarily true, it was the spirit behind Yakuroro's perception of the matter and he wanted the King to pay for these crimes. Crimes Yakuroro felt would lead to countless deaths in the future as Kou continues their ploy for world conquest.

"Resonance Wave!" The command to the rukh was angry and sharp but they did the work all the same. A ball of magoi was sent into the water sphere before the second electrocution even ended and suddenly all the liquid inside began to vibrate with incredible intensity. The water molecules would tear at the flesh of all the beasts inside, including Lagi himself. The violent attack would carry with it all the animosity and pent of stress the Imuchakk had been holding towards the black rukh as well as the situation in Reim. When it was over, his water spell would end and fall to the floor with a splash dropping all its contents to the earth.

Yakuroro too, would fall to his knees feeling emotionally exhausted after the gambit. He was breathing heavily from expending so much magoi at once and his arms both fell limp at his sides. His staff was still in hand clasped in an iron grip, but it was no longer pointed anywhere in particular. Yakuroro felt spent. His mind numb from the raw expression of feeling that he had just displayed.

Could it be?! Was it really Yakuroro!? The small black haired girl could be seen running through the crowds of the coliseum. She had only been passing through the area on her way to the country of Heliohapt, but she heard mutterings and whispers of a battle about to take place. At first, the girl hadn’t paid them any second thought. Battles were common in Reim from what she could tell. The people of this country enjoyed combat so much they had built a giant pit to fight within. Was another match really that excited? Why were all these people so excited about it? Arashi did her best to simply carry on and try to get to a ship that’d take her to Heliohapt, but a single phrase caused her to stop.

”A blue haired Imuchakk Magician challenge the king!”

Upon hearing that, Arashi practically backtracked and pretended to be interested in the gossiping woman’s wares as she eavesdropped upon their conversation. Apparently the mysterious man had challenged the king to a duel on the teen’s coronation day. That was unusual… Jackpot. There was only one blue haired Magician of sizeable height that Arashi knew. He was also the only person she knew who was wild enough to challenge a king. He was the same man who had broken into the Kou Emperor’s palace just to test out his new abilities. The challenger was clearly Yakuroro!

Even now as she pushed through the crowd, the sounds of the battle further spurred her. The blue haired man was winning according to the muttering and cheering. Of course Yakuroro wouldn’t lose! When she finally made it to the front of the crowd, Arashi was pressed tightly against the railings. Her eyes widened as she spotted Yakuroro. There he was. The girl gripped the bars tightly as she bit down on her lower lip, watching him with wide eyes. She couldn’t bring herself to cheer loudly like the rest of the crowd, but Arashi was glad to have found her savior once more. As her eyes watched him, all she could feel was awe as his magic overwhelmed the teenage king.

Zygus want prepared for this, he wasn’t prepared to see his master like this. Lagi’s body was a complete mess, Orie was unresponsive and LAgi’s body laid there in a pool of goop. Panting, Yakuroro watched the bird hobble over to its master and for a moment, he felt pity for the beast. Not for Lagi, he could never forgive the young man for what Yakuroro thought he had been party to. But the creature he was with clearly cared for him. The Imuchakk turned his head and averted his eyes from the touching scene not wanting to let it plant thoughts in him that perhaps this King wasn't so bad at all. If he were thinking clearly, he would have seen how the birds compassion reflected the kind person Lagi had been prior to his fall into depravity. But what he used to be didn't matter now. All that mattered was what Yakuroro had seen before. Now the battle was done, but it felt like a very hollow victory. Yakuroro hadn't really accomplished anything with this win. Sure, perhaps Lagi would suffer a morale blow and a loss of public face. But this would surely have little to no impact on Kou's plans.

A nudge from the chimera brought Yaku's mind from a land of thoughts to the present reality. "Thanks Tetsu....come on, lets treat your wounds." Yaku then gave one last glance in Lagi's direction before turning his back on the defeated king to help walk the injured Akatetsu to the exit to receive treatment.
