The following jobs may be posted under a single topic, as they are a chain of jobs. As you will shortly see, this is the first part of a 2 part act. The chain line is called:

'A Spymaster, and the Tools of his Trade; Part 1.'

Job Name: A Veteran's Plot, Mischief's Draught
Job Rank: B
Job Location: Reim
Job Rewards: 200 XP and 15,000 Huang
Job Overview:
As the Spymaster of Reim, you are expected to run a vast network of operatives and ensure overall operations are handled appropriately. Your rapid ascent to your position has caused you to skip various levels of the system, leaving you grossly unprepared to understand everyday operational procedures throughout the entire system. Knowing your own weakness, you have worked on learning more about the various departments and how they operate, starting from the bottom up. Your steps have taken you from the Inquisitor Maximus Cypriatus, to the Physical Instructors Kawahara Akiho and Murata Fusao, to the Troubleshooter Marinus Nerva, and now to the Treasurer Quintus Titus.

After teaching you the basics of accounting, Quintus Titus requests you check up on the books of an outpost. When you arrive, after some work and looking into matters, you find that the veteran operative  has been 'cooking' the books, a term Quintus had mentioned, and has stolen from the Kou operations over his time in his position. Upon confrontation, the veteran operative attacks...

Martinus Gallus has been watching over his men as they repair the various equipment that falls under stress during operations. Approaching and speaking to him, he explains the troubles they deal with on a day-to-day basis, including things such as complacent operatives who don't look after their gear, and the difficulty of repairing some of the more important equipment due to lack of resources from their budget. Upon asking what can be done to circumvent that, Martinus points Garret out to where the raw materials are for the equipment in question. The problem is, the raw material is from an intensely strong monster, and it's dangerous for most to enter the mine in question...

From there, it went to the Equipment Manager Martinus Gallus and your steps have now taken you to the Information Analyst Iulius Valentinus.

Iulius Valentinus allows you to listen in on some of the Think-machine meetings Iulius has with the members within his department. Information has come through that various individuals have been watching Imuchakk ships of late in Narpolia. It looks like they are casing the shipments, but details aren't quite clear. Iulius mentions that Marinus Nerva isn't available to take care of it, and the operatives in the area are busy with the workload as it was. Iulius asks you if you would like some first-hand experience with information analyzing, and offers to send one of his junior members with you to find out what's going on. After your investigation, you find yourself ambushed by those very bandits on the road while trying to make your way back to the Villa...

From there, it went to the Equipment Manager Martinus Gallus , to the Information Analysist Iulius Valentinus and now to the Assistant Project Manager Tacitus Sextus.

Tacitus welcomes an extra hand in the planning stage of the operations. Having been required to essentially plan your own missions while acting as the lead operative of Remano, you have enough experience in the job itself. An official refresher course never hurts, though. While working out the details of a mission that would be given to one of the operatives that works under Carmen, Aurelius Junius and Lucanus Albinus enter the room and announce an emergency meeting. There have been reliable reports that one of their suppliers has resources invested in illegal markets. Corruption must be dealt with appropriately, and without Marinus Nerva available, it is up to you to spearhead this operation. Kill the leader and his followers.

A Veteran's Plot, Mischief's Draught
-Since there is only one enemy please make him A-tier and up the damage required to defeat him accordingly.
-For his magoi manip speed buff you might want to put a turn limit on that. Not required of this NPC though.

Rare Material Produces Power Ethereal
-No problems here, just noting from one staff member to another that you've reminded me that we should probably make the description part mandatory for all NPCs. I'm tired of writing flavor text about people under the abilities section. If you agree pm me or Ari so we can make appropriate changes.

Analyzing Information, Questionable Situation
-What exactly is the questionable movements going on? I'd like a slightly clearer idea of what the goal is beyond simply killing some bandits. Like, why take them out? What exactly are they doing?
-This is just a suggestion and not required, but if Garret is trying to learn more about being an analyst, perhaps you should set up a mystery element to this job with some clues he starts with in the job description that help lead to discovery of these bandits and whatever it is they are up to.

Responsible Sourcing, Appropriate Endorsing
-Just not sure about the three-section staff surprise ability. Gonna ask Ariella to make a call on whether or not that is acceptable since it is an unprecedented use of a stealth class weapon.

Responsible Sourcing: I'm gonna say its acceptable, because it does make sense, logically, for it to "get around" the parry. Stealth weapons are likely to have a lot more gimmicks than other, more traditional weapons, so we may be making more of these judgement calls in the future, too.

Fixed, ty for suggestion I had no idea what to do with that job. (Don't wanna add a post limit to magoi manip, fyi)

I do want to mention that just because the attack is a 'surprise attack' doesn't mean somebody can't defend against it as they would defend against anything else (for future reference if a player decides to make a similar ability). This simply means that there is another attack that needs to be defended against. It would be like a swordsman who has two attacks with his weapon: a slash and then, from a slashing position that's been blocked, a thrust forward. By no means is it an 'auto-hit', and will still follow regular clashing procedures.
