Zadi was heading towards the local Job Board for another job, again. It seemed to be getting dull after all these years to be taking the same type of jobs, dock work, over and over again. There menial jobs really weren’t for a magician, but for Zadi’s caliber, they seemed suitable. Anyway, Zadi headed over to the Job Board and eventually made it. He scanned the board with papers clicking on using one method or another. The board seemed full as usual, but nothing too interesting stood out. Perhaps it was time to take this new job. It has recently come up…maybe Zadi should give it a go?

Zadi found a new job to take, though it wasn’t necessarily different type of work than dock work…in fact, it was dock work, just a little bit of a different client type. It was a lazy bump sailor that only seemed to drink booze and rum while paying others to do his work for him. He split his check with the person who was taking this new request so that he wouldn’t have to do anything for his job. If Zadi did this mission enough, he might get to become a sailor, hahaha! But no, Zadi would only do this job a few times before changing jobs.

Eventually, Zadi grabbed the slip of paper that seemed lazily hung up on the board as if it was just stuck there by mere chance and or luck. Zadi didn’t think much of it, but it would be fine, right? Not like the lazy sailor would have loads of work for Zadi. He must have done SOMETHING by now, right? Well, Zadi got the paper and made his way to the docks nearby. Zadi searched for the lazy sailor who said he would be sitting on an empty barrel…like that helped. But as it would seem, there really was only one sailor on a barrel while others were laboring away like real men. Zadi introduced himself as a job taker. The sailor on the barrel told Zadi to do this, that, and the like and ‘get to it, or you won’t get paid!’ and things along those lines. Zadi got right to work, rolling heavy barrels onto a large ship, and then some. He, in total, probably rolled half of all the barrels onto the ship. The other half were for another sailor that already did his job like a real man of the sea. Zadi then did the rest of the work, like cleaning, organizing the barrels in a rows and columns by spice and trade, and finally securing the ship the docks for another day to set sail. Zadi was tired in the end, but he was happy that he would get a reward. He went back to the lazy sailor was was taking a nap and asked for his reward. The sailor grunted, scoffed, and the sighed as he begrudgingly gave Zadi his well-deserved reward. Zadi was done for the day and ready for other things in this world~
