The elderly magician decided that it was time for him to start working on some sort of permanent fixture for him to live in but also so that he can teach from. He has been spending the past year or two living in an old barn that was renovated by Shou, who until recent years was a farmer. He has greatly enjoyed this arrangement but was always aware that it was only ever going to be temporary. If he could make himself a room that was small enough to live and store a few possessions then he would be content. On top of that, he had the inkling of an idea for a while now, one to make an institution for learning various studies in life. Anything from combat like sword fighting, sports such as sumo, but also various different studies such as arts, sciences and so forth. He wanted a place that any could come to and study on any curriculum that they so please. So with that thought process, the planning and construction for the Kinan Institute was underway.

He would start off by trying to buy some land. Not really sure how to go about that, Shou, Terrao and the twin swords would help guide him through that. They would help him with officials, taking him where to find land and how to purchase it. This would be a process that would prove to be perhaps the most difficult and time consuming step. It was all feudal bureaucracy but after about a couple of weeks they would have themselves a sizable plot of land on the outskirts of the capital city of Kina. This was a good stretch of land that was solid for the most part and could contain multiple structures which was exactly what the golden muse was looking for.

Now Silva was not well educated in the study of architecture so he would have to outsource that to the construction workers. He has expressed his ideal behind this and what he was looking for and relied on them to follow it and do their best to fulfill what he has envisioned. Now was just to wait and help where he was possible.

Now while he was not good with planning for construction, he did have a little bit of experience at the actual construction of houses and schools. So he and the whole Silva Stable would assist the workers that they had hired. They were all larger, muscular men, some sumo others samurai, so they were able to gather the heavy materials and move in unison so that they would not disrupt or be a hindrance to the clear professionals. They would gather materials and even saw or hammer. But they would leave all the jobs that required more technical expertise or precision to the actual workers. While they were skilled in the arts of combat, there was too little room for error in construction work.

Since it was not too large and they had help, it would take perhaps a little over a month for the construction to be completed. It was mostly a decent sized stable or studio or dojo layout. This would be the simplest design for what they needed. It was a large open space that was not separated or crowded by many walls. And it could be used to teach anything from combat to the scholarly arts. It was of course done in the Kinan style. At the end of the learning areas would be a small room that was for storage and one joined to that would be the respite and sanctuary of the teacher, Silva. While this was built they had a second building that was to be used as housing for instructors but also foreign students.

The plan was to eventually open up the school for foreigners both students and instructors. This would prove to be troublesome since Kina still had a strong distrust of outsiders, especially with the festival that turned into cinders when Silva first started. But that would be something that he would have to pursue later. As for now the Silver Institute was complete.
