Bara The Bandit Baradr11

Name: Bara
Country Affiliation: Wanderer
Race: Halfling | Magician + Imuchakk
Tier: D | Novice
Class: Magician | Water
Age + Birthdate: 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Demisexual | Heterosexual
-
Personality:
If one close to him must describe how he behaved and carried himself, they'd definitely say that he is quite the quiet but curious person, even seeming nosy, due to the two traits clashing. In three words he could be generally described; reserved, curious, as previously mentioned, and spiteful.

However, that would only scratch the very surface of his personality, and could not truly represent who he was entirely. It could be viewed as a rather accurate blueprint though to understanding the boy. It was due to being ostracized for his height since young that caused him to be reserved, and prefer to be around those who are tamer, and perhaps even more cordial or accepting. In spite of being a brigand and pirate, he was quite the sweetheart, to those who he did deem kind or honest people.

Yet, to those who he did not deem so kind or honest, he had no problem taking advantage of them, or using them to get a leg up. Bara did not so easily open his trust up to others and was not so quick to let his guard down. If he was to form relations with anyone, he was to keep his guard up, not trusting them for a while at first due to the lack of trust he had with his own tribe for such a long time since young.
In turn though, Bara was a curious soul, one who wished to learn more of others to truly see just what kinds of people he could meet. Quite similar to his grandpa who was an open man that tried to see the good within people, Bara did as well, just with more caution admittedly. It was one thing that Bara was open to though, yknow, people he may be foreign to or personalities he may be foreign to.

It faired nicely to meet unique personas, cause back at home for him, the most celebrated characters were the sociable warrior types. It was rarer to see studious or other wacky personas from his tribe. If one wanted to be accepted as a great person back at his tribe, they had ought to be a charismatic and confident warrior that could hunt well. It was those sorts of people that were commonplace.

It is safe to say that the boy has never been too fascinated by the warrior lifestyle, but does enjoy learning more about the world he resides within, this world of magic as some may say. However, the boy is not very studious, but what he is, is very curious. Inquisitive some may refer to him as. It is unlike the boy to read books, but more like him to pester someone with questions, or beat the answers out of one of his foes.

Bara is ruthless to his foes, not hesitating to torture them, or humiliate them. It is his favorite pastime honestly. Bara is a very spiteful person, loving to get back at anyone he feels has done him wrong and who deserves the treatment. It is not uncommon whatsoever to find Bara having picked a fight with some drunkard over a passing comment. It helps for Bara to have a friend or partner who can prevent him from trying to harass ill mannered strangers. However, a friend or partner can only do so much.
Likes: If the opportunity arises, he enjoys delivering payback, vengeance, to others who do him wrong or make fun of him. It is usually by just humiliating them, but on rarer occasions, death. Anywho, besides that, he very much so fancies fashion or neat jewelry from scum he robs.
Dislikes: Not fond of those who pick on others merely for their own amusement, he is quite harsh on them, delivering swift punishment to them. Other than that, he loathes people who are too loud or annoying, preferring to keep to himself rather than socialize with said people.
Aspirations: It is not a dream that seems to be within reach right now, but the boy does wish to destroy the hopes of the Imuchakk raiders who wish to settle new lands. Why? Well, for the simple reason that many of them are the exact scum he hated back at home. Bara wished to sabotage their efforts, then find a new life for himself. It was his dream to conquer the northern sea so that the Imuchakk could not sail farther.
Phobias/Fears: Afraid of the mainland tribes, especially that of Asisiak's main force, he looks at the Imuchakk to be warmongerers who care only for their brawns. It scares him to set foot unto that tundra once more, cause he does not wish to return to the place that berated him for so long, the place where the folk told him he did not belong. Bara merely wishes to be part of a people who embrace him for him, and not for what sort of warrior he was. Bara wanted to carve his own path and feel free from the clutches of the expectations of the Imuchakk.

Face-Claim: Rimuru | Tensura
Hair Color: Pastel Blue
Eye Color: Gold
Height: 170cm | 5'7 ft
Weight: 52 kg | 116 lbs
Appearance: Bara tends to garb his person with thick loose clothing, enjoying the feeling of long coats or scarfs on him. Atop his shoulders, he will usually drape fluffy scarfs made of beast fur. It hugs his neck tight, warming him up. As for footwear, he dons a pair of dark blue high boots, which have served him well. A rather feminine face, with soft baby like features, he is often mistaken for a girl.

In truth, he was just a very effeminate looking boy. It was part of why Bara was so picked on. However, now the boy plays his soft features to his benefit, by playing cute with girls, or fooling men into believing that he is a girl, or even just a very delicate pushover, when he is in fact, not. Quite fair skin, and long pretty hair, he has no issues charming others with his cute features to obtain what he wants.
Rukh Alignment: Black
Special Features: None

History: It began when a magician from long ago went and departed out to the frosted over land of Imuchakk for research. However, upon his arrival within Imuchakk, the magician was to face extreme hostility from the locals. Having been on the verge of freezing to death and nowhere to run from the beastly terrors of the land, the magician could only accept death.

It was then though that a woman clad within traditional Imuchakk clothing was to come to the man, the magician who had begun to freeze to death. By the grace of fate, the man was rescued, and taken to a local and friendly chieftain who sought to learn more about the man and the outside world. Having been simply content to eat a warm meal with a warm room to sleep the night, the magician taught the chieftain about the outside world to the extent that he knew of.

In the years to come, the magician was welcomed, but very discriminated against by the locals. It seemed the man had no way of returning home, so he was forced to make a home within this unforgiving tundra. However, eventually, the man was to be killed from a tragic battle with another tribe. It marked the end of one of the first magicians to step foot within the lands of the Imuchakk, but did not mark the end of the legacy he was to leave behind. It was to then be thirty years later after that incident, that his legacy was to culminate, alas, with his descendant who bore the blood of his grandfather, departing from home.

It stood tall and proud, the Imuchakk nation, a coalition of tribes that were united by that woman, Asisiak, the queen of the hunt. Bara came to this world a quarterling. Yes, quite unheard of, however, that was just the fact of who he was. It was to be quite the anomaly though how small the child was compared to the other Imuchakk kids. It even stumped his mother, a halfling, who was quite taller than he was at the same age.

Rather distraught, his mother who had hidden that she was a halfling could only weep over the unfortunate height of the boy. It was a great shame to the family who did not even know of the magician blood that resided within the mother and now her child. However, regardless, they were to try their very best to raise the body to become like them, warriors of the sea.

In the years that were to follow, the family was to frankly make.. no progress. How could this be? Bara loathed his fate, and his magician blood, finding out later about his grandfather from his mother. Bara was quite the coward, often fighting with cheap tricks and evasive techniques, so he was scrutinized by his elders, and picked on within his village for his tragic height.

However, upon finding out about his magician blood, he was to decide to put the only one skill he knew he was blessed with to use. Bara was to practice to no end's rest, trying to learn a spell, rigorously tampering with the rukh he could see to conjure something, anything. It was a long time until he was able to conjure his first spell, but his toiling with the rukh day and night eventually was to produce results, eventually. Bara, finally, at the age of fourteen, was to produce his first spell, his very own. In the two years that were to follow, he was to come up with a few more spells, but then..

It came the time to set out from his homeland. At first, he was reluctant, but upon further thought, he decided he just had to, he had to set out unto the open sea with the raiders. It was not for glory, nor for riches, but for his curiosity of what lay outside the tundra he had lived. In truth, he had no problem with slaying or pillaging folks who were said to be evil, yet, when on the raiders' ships, when he was to practice his spells, he was to be constantly berated by the pirates that he was so short, and was useless with his tiny wand. However, what the pirates on that vessel did not know, was that Bara was over this.

Bara simply could not put up with these pirates anymore, so, he was to decide to commit mutiny. In the dark of the night, the magician was to enter his captains' quarters, before proceeding to silently murder him, stealing his garbs and an oriental blade he had often liked to prance around with. Once he had murdered the captain, Bara was to light the vessel aflame. In the distance, departing out to sea on a getaway sailboat, Bara was to smile, feeling free. In the end, Bara was the one to have the last laugh, meanwhile the pirates perished, yelping out for help, to no avail.
