[The coin flip has determined that Gilles will go first https://coinflip.com/flip-a-coin/?result=abx ]

Lights shown down on an arena. The stands bustled with an eager crowd that exchanged heated whispers among themselves in anticipation for the first fight of the night's festivities. At the center of the arena was a bald middle aged man with a sour expression. Zion Koval had arrived in full disguise, his Trickster Foxspirit technique being used to give him this bald headed appearance. He was dressed in black slacks and a white shirt with a neat bowtie. In his left hand was a microphone and in his right, a wand known as the Magoi Sword.

"In the blue corner, we have one hell of a bucket case for you all tonight. Allow me to introduce...Gilles!" The previously quiet crowd erupted with blazing cheers. Their excitement heavy and thick in the air. "And in the red corner, we have a monarch of the forest. Let's here it for Menat!" The audience quieted down only long enough for the introduction to be complete before erupting into another roar of cheers and applause.

The ring was elevated 2m off the ground and had a white mat. It formed a 50m by 50m square within which the combatants would find themselves locked in combat. "Both fighters, to the center of the ring!" Zion said into the mic before gesturing to the two fighters with a wave of his arms. Once the two arrived within 5m of each other, Zion would signal them to stop. "Alright, you both know the rules. Or you don't, I don't care. I wanna see a good, clean fight...."

The High Priestess of the flame had come here for one thing and that was to fight. The god had even blessed her with great luck of placing her against some kind of woman made plants. "May The lord bless me with victory in this bout."

With this act she would activate her Wings of Internal Flames flying straight at Menat. She would activate the special ability of her Blade of eternal warmth before attempting to slice the woman's torso once he was in striking range. She had planned on making this match as quick as possible. She knew she did not have the magoi for a long fight.

150/180 magoi

Used Wings of Internal flame for 10 magoi then Blade of Eternal Warmth for 20 magoi

Menat hadn’t come here to simply play around. She had a goal and she wouldn’t admit defeat to anyone until it was met. When she caught wind of her mother’s interest in this tournament she knew it was her best chance at getting a legitimate test of skill against her. She wouldn’t let anyone take her out until she got that fight. That meant she would need to start off by claiming victory over the ghastly pale girl she had been paired against.

Despite the fact that Menat, now a being of foliage and flora, was face-to-face with a woman wielding flames in the form of not only her blade but a pair of wings she showed no fear like one normally would. The mystical robe clothing her lit up as the serpent on her chest slithered to life. Moving from its resting place it grew in size, rapidly expanding from a simple meter long and four meter round creature to a flexible moving column spanning seventy meters by seven meters thick. The living monolith coiled around its master as a protective wall. Placing the palm of her hand against the serpent’s surface she activated yet another tool, granting the serpent a veil coating of pure water to aid in its tanking of the opponent’s flaming attack.

"Hot, hot, hot!" Zion complained in the gruff voice of his transformed body as he stumbled backwards to avoid the raging flames Gilles produced. The steps appeared sloppy, and yet storm-like winds danced around his feet and carried him to the edge of the fighting ring in a flash. "Looks like we have violent start to the match, folks!~" His gaze then turned to Menat observing the advent of her great serpent cloaked in water.

"But out other contender has kept her cool with the serenity of a calm lake's surface!" The crowd were wild with excitement. They were just as excited to see how these two fighters of extreme opposites would clash as Zion.

Menat had put up an extensive defense against Gilles' initial onslaught. There was a large snake that was briefly covered in water before her blade cut through the stream. Now all that was was the large snake. She would keep he wings out but she would stand on the solid ground as she swings twice with her blade at the snake hoping to slice it down quickly.

While she was attacking the snake wall her hair would harden into two tendrils that would burrow through the ground before attempting to pierce up through the princesses feet which upon contact they would grow roots inside the feet.

The flexible monolith that was the colossal serpent golem did indeed absorb the impact of the pale woman’s sword just as Menat had intended, the water flowing over it like a second skin steaming from the contact with the flaming blade. The outer skin of liquid hadn’t been very thick given the amount of space it had to cover in comparison to its traditional uses but it at least it bought the living defense an extra second or two to protect Menat while the Spriggan put her plan into action. The golem had been meant to serve as both protection and distraction. While under attack a second stone serpent had been summoned from the robe, retaining its meager size comparative to an average snake, and slithered its way to the princess’s foe. Working its way up her limbs and towards her head in order to place its lipless mouth against exposed flesh in an awkward kiss like it was meant to.

Menat meanwhile brought forth her own weapon. With golden halberd in hand she began to scale the coiled body of her stone beast one step after the next while it remained in a single piece until she was able to leap up over it to bring the blade of her beloved weapon down on top of the albino.

[No ability was used, nor justification given, to explain how Menat avoided the Burrowing Owl's Grasp using basic actions alone. She did ascend her golem which would bring her off the ground, but not before the hair would burrow to her based on my understanding of the post timing. The attack shall land with mitigated damage as per the Combat Systems.

Whether you are using basic actions or abilities to evade, block, or counter incoming damage, always keep in mind that no one is perfect or invincible. You must have a legitimate IC reason for why you are able to dodge or evade perfectly if you are attempting to do so. If you are diving out of the way of a giant fire ball and you don't have a good reason for why you would come out unscathed, you should at least take some minor burns. If an enemy is sending flurries of attacks your way and you lack significant speed trait advantages over them, you shouldn't be able to weave in and out of the strikes effortlessly. Take some cuts and gashes as you do so.

Play fair and take your hits. Failure to do so will result in staff declaring auto-hits your character. Auto-hits will continue until you fix your behavior or your character dies, whichever comes first.

Menat get's one foot off the ground a split second soon enough, but her other foot is pierced and ensnared preventing her from climbing the golem. This does not affect her use of the second golem, however.

Sustaining of the first golem was never included in the post or bolded. As such, Gilles' attacks successfully destroy the first golem. But she should not be able to perceive the second golem until it has emerged from the collapsing first one giving little time to respond. Magoi for the sustain is refunded since the action was voided.]

The Priestess of the Flame would grin seeing the gigantic snake golem crumble before her. However, she would not have time to react to the smaller golem crawling up to the and kissing her exposed flesh. She would look confuse before gasping at the image in front her her eyes. Standing in front of her was the King of Sassan Xerxes. She would smile ear to ear before doing a quick bow and standing up again. "My dear lord it is a pleasure to see you again."

She was about to speak again when she noticed the tree lady in the background behind her king. She would scowl as she sees this. Who was this trollop that standing so close to her Xerxes. Her Xerxes. "How dare you try to take my Xerxes from me you home wrecker!"

With this she would fly straight at menat swinging her blade with full force a total of 3 times, screaming as she does so.

The pale girl had pulled some attempt to attack Menat from below her stone serpent barrier, her foot getting caught by something as she made her attempt to start scaling the snake that was already starting to crumble and smacking face first into it instead of going over. She was thankful for her new bark skin that seemed as hard as steel because it meant no damage was done to her face from the contact. The first serpent had done its job and as it crumbled to pieces she saw her true goal had found its footing and was now set in motion. The second, smaller snake had clearly made contact as now there stood a man with his hand wrapped around the woman’s arm. Menat surely hadn’t expected the pale stranger to be a classic case of desiring a specific person, much less a man. She supposed there had to be things in this world that did surprise her from time to time.

Yet it seemed as if her plans had already crumbled, much like her first golem, just as soon as they had started. The woman roared in a fit of rage about how Menat was a homewrecker trying to take her “Xerxes” from her. The Spriggan Queen guessed that was the name of the man her second golem had turned into once making contact with her. Thankfully it was still in physical contact with her as its hand around her arm kept firm and helped keep her from racing forward to swing at Menat once more in her fury. The construct wasn’t made for physical contact but it wasn’t above using its inhuman strength to swing the woman to face it head on once more, moving to take each of her upper arms in either of its hands as it closed in, staring deep into her eyes.

Menat wasn’t sure it would prove to be a long term distraction, or even keep her opponent in place for long. She'd continue to supply it with magoi for as long as it would remain a viable option regardless. Halberd at the ready the Spriggan took the chance to dash for the woman’s exposed back with a powerful horizontal slash aimed right for the center of her back.

Gilles would scowl at the tree woman just to find herself being restrained. "Who dares to hold me ba..." she would lose her words as she sees the item of her affections, Xerxes. SHe would melt instantly, losing any sort of resistance and tension. This was all she wanted. This whole time she burned and schemed was just for this moment.

She would turn around in his arms, wrapping hers around his neck. She would pull him down kissing the Sassanid King on this lips. SHe would gasp as she felt the cold touch of metal on her skin. She would break the kiss seeing blood on Xerxes' Face, unbeknowst to her it was her blood from her mouth. "Oh i am sorry my love but you have a smudge on your mouth." she would say in a soft, shaking voice as she is now fighting for each word, for each breath.

She would slowly move her singular arm to his face, wiping the smudge off before it falls down. Her body was now lying limp in the arms of the man the she was in love with. A sick and demented love, but a love.

Gilles is dead

The crowd had been cheering with mad excitement as the fight between the two escalated. Flames and stone serpents clashed! But no sooner had the conflict begun did a transformation take place. Both in the nature of the fight as well as in the nature of one the smaller stone golem snakes. The appearance of the false Sassanid king brought a wave of shock throughout the audience. Many began to hiss and boo when this resulted in one of the fighters burning less with flames and more with twisted romantic passion. This distraction cost her both the match as well as her life. The battle was brought to an abrupt end as a result. The crowd had desired a great battle between these two elementally opposed fighters. Not a swift skirmish that ended on grounds of deceit.

"Cheater!"

"Foul play!"

"Come on, ref' no fair!"

Unsatisfied hecklers shouted their demands for Zion to step in and declare Menat's victory forfeit. Still in his bald headed transformation, the magician looked to the left and right with a tight frown. His gaze moved between Menat and the corpse on the ground. After a brief pause, he held up his fist. "Quiet!" His rough voice boomed and the discontented crowd went silent. Then his fist rotated and a thumb rose skyward.

This call brought on another wave of boos from those who were dissatisfied, but there were cheers mixed in as well. Fans of Menat pierced through the naysayer's with their congratulations on her victory. Zion moved to the Spriggan's side and lifted one of her hands up. "Winner of the first match, Menat!!!!!"
