When money is tight, Odylya isn’t against doing some odd jobs here and there to make ends meet. However, she most likely wouldn’t even be in this predicament if she had any sort of sense of how much things would cost her and a little bit of self-discipline. But alas, what’s done is done. Odylya is broke, has a crippling need to be drunk, and is looking for work. Luckily, there was somebody with something that needed to be done.
The fanalis met this man on the port, standing in front of his boat. He stood with confidence, radiating the sort of energy that could hijack any room he walked into. Those on the port seemed to take notice of this and walked around him on instinct, meaning that either he was important or just had a larger than life personality. Either way, Odylya didn’t really care as long as he paid her.
“Oh, yer a lass huh? Wasn’t exactly what I was excpetin’ but no worries!” He spoke with a loud booming voice that caused the people nearby him to jump as he abruptly spoke. Another thing that Odylya caught onto was the thick accent that he had. It didn’t seem like it belonged to any particular section of the world, but at the same time it wasn’t something he grew up with and came off rather forced. “I’m sure you know tha’ drill. Tie tha’ ropes, sweep tha’ deck, move some boxes n’ barrels. Fairly simple task with enough pay for ya’ once the job is done.” As he began to list off the things, Odylya made mental notes and nodded. To be honest, she totally forgot what she signed up for. The only thing on her mind was the pay.
Anyways, with their introduction out of the way, the man walked past Odylya and left her to do her tasks.
