Job Overview: Having dealt with the problematic elements that either tracked you or were on their way there as well. You encounter that the path ahead is locked. A great door stands in your way and blocks the entrance to the ruin and all it contains. The door has a gem in the middle of it and a large podium in front of it. It seems to be a test of wit.

Riding across the hot desert she was sparing an occasional glance towards the map. Even though she had pushed the camel to its brink to evade the sandstorm it wasn't meant to be from the looks. The storm took on the perfect heading to make her visibility close to zero. She inhaled a deep sigh as she covered her mouth and nose with a piece of cloth and wrapped the rest of the fabric around her head to protect her eyes. Would have been better if she had goggles or some kind of better protection against such a thing, but she thought it would have been a quick get-in and get-out kind of job. Looking at the map made her more frustrated she was at the last third of it, or at least what she could figure out before the storm hit her. Continuing through the storm that almost seemed to encircle her she pondered for a bit if she should take a break and let the storm dissipate or just trudge through it and try to reach the goal before night.

"When did I ever give up on something I had set my mind on, honestly" A light chuckle left her mouth before she continued "Let's find this treasure hoard and get what I came for.

Snapping the reigns with one hand the camel got into gear and started to make its way through the harsh storm, to the animal's credit it was quite sturdy and happy to follow Belit's orders even without much coercing. It took till dusk for the storm to end and for Belit along with her animal companion to get to a man-made structure, stairs covered with sand and half-broken were peaking out at the top of the dune-covered crater. Going upwards she arrived a the entrance of a tall and far-stretching building, most of its surface covered in sand and stone, though weirdly enough there was also enough of vegetation to attract some smaller animals and a wellspring of water. The floor towards the giant door was split into three circles with dots and lines connecting, each circle having three layers that seemed to be able to rotate, or well would have been able if they were cleaned up from the sand. The picture they presented was faded and looked like the darkened sky. With white and golden dots or shapes that had small slots that some distant age ago probably housed gems and many a treasure which was already claimed long before, this grand structure was covered and buried by sand. Standing up Belit dusted off her legs and took a look at the door. The door itself was massive and was carved in two separate parts that made one whole. The left presented an evil demon, a creature so vile and horrific that even just looking at it for too long made one think it would spring to life and claw their face clean off. The right side on the other side presented two figures, both perfect in stature and body, seeming like the exemplars of their race and perfect in each measure and way possible. Between the figures, and the only connection to this grand work would have been the large hole in the middle of the door which seemed to fall from the hand of the demonic figure into the hands of the man and woman from the right. Brushing her fingers over the artwork she left out a loud hmmm.

"This is nice and all, but there are no inscriptions to read and the map or well at least, what I have from the two pieces I have collected. Surely the riddle to open the door is around here, I just need to focus, or well react at the right time."

Trying a few things like placing an orb that would kinda fit into the door, or covering the circles with water and cleaning them didn't do much at all. After spending a good amount of time, Belit decided to get water and hunt for some food. The water was easily found and she sterilized it just in case even though the animals around the water were fine and drinking without much issue. The camel she had bound to a nearby palm that gave the animal enough shade while also offering foliage to eat and water close enough for the animal to drink and not strain itself.

As for food, she waited patiently to see what she could get for food, a crocodile would take way too much time and effort for the little food she needed, meanwhile smaller animals wouldn't be enough to sustain her in the scorching heat. Eyeing her opportune time, she let the few smaller and undesirable animals pass before a large eagle descended towards the oasis. Seeing the animal Belit smiled.

"Chicken just like the doctor ordered, I haven't had some since I left home."

As the feathered bird landed Belit leaped into action, her blade coming out as she swung her arm full force, the glaive spun and made a hissing sound, as the animal heard that it tensed up, its black feathers rustling as its beak went up for a screech before it wanted to flap its wings and fly upwards. A wet gurgling sound came after that and the heavy thud of her blade cutting into a palm tree trunk was mixed with the rustling of the bird's wings as it beheaded tried to fly or move its limbs. With a simple step on its body, Belit stopped its struggle and picked it up before bringing it over the boiling pot of water. Quickly splashing it with the steaming water she started plucking the feathers and cleaning the bird, pulling out its insides and removing any bits that weren't supposed to be cooked, she tore off a branch and placed the cleaned up bird onto the fire, and started roasting the bird. The chilly night wind was blowing against her skin as she chuckled softly and was cutting the bird's meat as it slowly cooked, unable to really wait for the whole thing to finish. She was looking up at the night sky, the glittering stars making her relax as she blinked a bit and looked at a line that seemed to have been formed by three stars, one of them continuing into another shape and leading around. She soon stood up and started drawing three circles in the sand with a branch before laughing happily and giggling she connected the dots and made a quick discovery around it all.

Moving towards the three rotating plinths and circles she quickly started to move them around as she passed each one and allowed the stars to shine down they almost lighted up. All that was left was the central crystal in the door. Awaiting it to open she was sorely disappointed as the door did not move even an inch nor did anything happen. Frantically looking around she felt with her foot a hollow sand-filled space. Quickly dropping to her feet she started to dig the sand out of the wider and much larger opening than any other around, except the large circle that was on the gate. Removing all the sand presented her with a fractal crystal, not knowing if it was broken or always like that she stepped out to not cover it with her shadow and the lights in the sky illuminated it, The crystal shone brightly as the lines across the three circles pulsed for a few seconds and then glowed with a dull white-yellow almost amber-like color. The door did not open, or so she thought, looking at the sky a cloud was partially blocking the full moon, and once it finally passed and the moon was in the center of the sky something magical happened.

As if orchestrated the dots on the circles and holes left from ages ago filled with bountiful glow and started to rotate the circles by themselves a clacking almost gear like noise was heard as the repeating thudding of wood on wood or was it stone on stone repeated. She felt the vibrating of the ground and the spilling of sand and the howling of a gust of wind approaching from somewhere. The gate in front of her was now fully illuminated by the light of the moon and the figures were eagerly absorbing all they were offered.

"No one is going to believe me even if I told them about this...hope this will be worth it."

The last words were half a mumble as her skin got goosebumps and she hugged her left hand and bit her lip, unsure as to what was happening and what she triggered. IT was not that she was unaware that she opened the door to the ruin. It was more about what would she let out if she couldn't defeat whatever was inside, if there was anything really, maybe she would get lucky and the guardian would have died long ago and she could just snatch all the treasures and walk off towards a nice city or town with warm water and the delicious food she could try to replicate.

Gulping down her saliva she took a deep breath as the large door slammed open and the sand from inside spilled out in the air as particles. Going inside her shadow was soon lost, and she vanished from the face of the world, as the gates shut behind her and the flickering of embers and lit flames spilled light up ahead, the lone tunnel-like room being the only way to go forwards into the blinding light of illumination.
