Job Overview: Now that you've proven you're trustworthy to the Kazeharu clan up to a certain extent they've decided that you are a possible candidate to join their clan. In order to fully prove your loyalty and join the clan, they've asked that you take out someone who has failed to meet their standards. There are a few clan dropouts who've left on unfavorable terms, having given you one of their locations and asked you to dispatch of them quickly. If you succeed you are sure to be given the opportunity to join.

The sun began to pledge his farewell for a day and the sky painted themselves into orange, as if they wanted to accompany the sun as he began to set. Noir stared at the setting sun with her golden eyes as she put down the book she just had finished reading, a rather amusing book if she could say. It shared a view about Kina’s country clans, a little bit of the history behind it, the old clans, but more about the current six clans. She didn’t really have any kind of opinion about any of the clans actually, most of the clans had their own roles within the country, however she was a little bit confused… It seemed that even though they have their own roles within the country and probably were supposed to support each other, it felt like they… wanted absolute power, wanting to be the only clan with the highest authority. But why? Wasn't that greedy? Noir didn’t really think that it was greed, after all, greed was a natural instinct that all people had although the amount of the greed varied from one to another.

As someone who had a past as a slave, this kind of thing was hard to understand, she would admit it. Perhaps she was just not really educated in this matter or…perhaps it was just difficult as someone who never really had a taste of having absolute power. But she never desired absolute power, she just wanted to be stronger to reach her goal…and living her life peacefully, with all the freedom she could have.

The magician would let out a sigh before reaching for her bag, taking out a book and placing it open. She had been thinking of writing something in the book, wanting to communicate with Tenma, but she couldn't bring herself to write anything, she never really exchanged letters with anyone. She would take a deep breath though, she had to actually write something, she was the one who gave him the book anyways.

‘Greetings…’

Noir stopped there, staring at the word she just wrote in the book. The girl began to feel very self conscious about her writing as well, what if Tenma thought that her writing was weird and unreadable… But she shook her head off of the thoughts and tried to continue writing.

‘How are you? I hope you are doing well.
I am in Kina country at the moment, helping several clans while enjoying myself in this beautiful country.
I apologize for sending you a short message
Hope to hear from you soon.

And with that, she let out a relieved sigh, kind of proud of herself for managing to actually write something in the book even though… It took her like an hour to think and write. But oh well, she could only hope to see the reply from Tenma soon, she wondered if the man would be in Kina as well and if he was, then did he help one the clans…? If he did, she could only hope it was not the opposing clan though, she didn’t want to fight him. It was strange though because Noir felt like she knew Tenma for a really long time now, he felt like an older brother figure to her, probably even more than Solomon.

Noir would hear a knocking sound and a female voice asking for permission to open the door and deliver dinner, she would stand up and slide the wooden door, letting the maid serve her food. It was kind of weird to receive this kind of treatment actually, she used to be in the maid’s shoes and now she was the one receiving. “Thank you.” The magician bowed her head, showing her gratitude towards the maid who was getting ready to leave. She was grateful for her life though, this freedom that she gained with her own hand felt good. But perhaps her past was still there, affecting her personality a little bit and her views about her current status in the society.

There was a lot of food actually and she would motioned Haku to come closer to her, so he could eat his own food that was also served by the maid, accompanying her. She had good food, a nice place to stay and a comfy bed to sleep on also… a company. Noir closed her eyes for a second as if she was praying, but she wasn’t, she was just thankful.

The next day, she would be getting ready to visit the Kazeharu manor since they have requested for her presence. They would like to ask for her help this time and Noir didn’t mind offering her hand to them, in fact she was happy to be able to help. Last time she helped the Kazeharu, this man named Eight was accompanying her, so she wondered if that man would also join her this time.

It was not long until she arrived in the clan’s manor together with Haku, she would head right towards the entrance and entered the Kazeharu’s area. The magician would look around and greet a nearby clansman, informing him that she was summoned by one of the clan’s officials, hoping to be escorted to the meeting place because she wouldn't lie, but all of this manor inside the Kina country felt like a maze.

The clansman would notice her, recognizing her for her help the other day and offered to escort her towards the meeting room. He will open the door for Noir, a polite gesture that all Kinan people probably had. As she thanked the man, she and Haku would enter the meeting room. No one was there at the moment, but she was told that one of the officials will come to see her soon so she could take her time and sit while waiting. As Noir took her seat on the cushion, Haku would go to the area behind his master and sit there politely. Now they stayed still in the silence, waiting for the Kazeharu’s officials.

The mastermind was faltering, with each new report from one of the spies, his work in Mt Raiji, preparing to follow the secrets that the Kogata had bestowed to him and the other foreigners, utilizing and learning the slime magic potential, finding the time to learn how to properly wield a weapon, how to maximize the power of his spark cicadas. Naruto had given him an in depth account of his task for the Kazeharu. It seemed to go off without a hitch. It had involved Noir and he would have to see her again, but without that particular incident, Naruto had proven himself by leaps and bounds. The kazeharu had to deal with some bad apples who seemed to take advantage of the magical tools which littered the streets of Kazeharu, illuminating the nights. Eight was quite the fan of magical tools and Kazeharu was one the two clans that seemed to specialize in their use. He had given out his tools very leisurely as he continued to search for new ones, hoping that they would help him in the long run, possibly collecting on these debts to further his plans along with the pre-planned leverage. But even as such, his stock was running low and this only served to motiv-Eight him to continue his allegiance to this clan. They seemed to value quality over quantity, which just meant they had less man power, something he had an abundance of. But for being a political and religious player, it was unlikely that he would be able to use his connections as a slaver to help this clan. Whenever that side of him was revealed, it was impossible to hide from that person again. And the more people knew about it, the riskier it would be in this anti-slavery world.

Eight would have to carefully decide on these issues. He could always bring Naruto to help him,but to join this religious and seemingly noble clan, he would rather bring Leona and Diana. A pair of priestess from a religious order in Reim. He wanted to hire these women in particular to help protect Dalia because she was still a bit too headstrong. However she seemed to grow suitably docile while working with Eight and the rest of the members of the kogata clan. They were also noble and believed in protecting people even if their behavior was full of sij and contradicting their own ways, because they respected all life. They mostly tried to remain non lethal, but they were particular py swayed by the financial donation to their religious order, which allowed them to skew their behavior because they realized it was for the greater good, while still protecting a tormented girl.

Eight had made the executive decision that their presence would be beneficial for the meeting and their power was not to be scoffed at. Very powerful magic and defensive abilities, quite easily able to match Eight in his power. They would easily give him a certain credibility as well as increase his own versatility and power. Leona was built like a greek goddess, but her sculpture of a body was hidden modestly behind armor. Instead of a sword or axe, she would bring a pair of curved tower shields allowing for solid protection, not only just for her but allies as well. Leona was reliable, solid and friendly, complimenting her partner, Diana. Diana was a powerful magician of light, with a gravity spell and a suite of enhanced senses, making her more of the calm and collected type.

Eight had kept them on guard detail for Dalia but she had been leaving them behind more and more frequently, so perhaps it was time for them to work with Eight more exclusively. While this would be helpful to him in the short term, in the long term, such kind and faithful people being exposed to Eights criminality would just leave him exposed by these two witnesses, which could lead to a wide array of repercussions. But that would also make the pair of women would be disposable, making their value increase albeit temporarily. One of the reasons he could see it this way, was because of his relationship with Naruto. Naruto worked diligently on his behalf, and there was trust going both ways and a level of understanding of each others actions.

Eight would use Naruto to call for Diana and Leona, bringing the pair to the final task for Kazeharu. Naruto, once again proving his reliability.

Eight would prepare for the visit by dressing in some formal wear as well as adorning himself in his accessories. Upon Leona and Dianas arrival, he would have them carry one of his most important weapons each, the demon sword and the Kou Axe.

They would bow gracefully at the sign of trust and he would lead them to the Kazeharu manor as Naruto went to continue his work of spreading the 'good' name of Eight.

Eight came along with two other people Noir had never seen before, but judging from the way they followed the man from behind, they must be his subordinates. She would be listening tentatively to the briefing of the final task which was assigned to them. The clan’s officials explained that there was some clan dropout who left the clan on unfavorable terms. They also shared information about one of the dropouts who stole a magic weapon from the Kazeharu, revealing his current location so Noir and Eight as well as his companion can help them to dispatch this ex-member.

Since they already had enough information to start the mission, Noir thought they should just head out now but she wanted to know what her companion would think about it. “Shall we head out now?” She asked Eight directly, turning her head towards the man with her usual expressionless face.

If the man agreed to head out right away, Noir and Haku would be tagging along with Eight and his subordinates, heading to where one of the dropouts would be hanging out at the moment. “You seemed a little quiet today, Mr. Eight.” The magician would make such a comment, although without any intention to offend the man at all. She was just curious because in the previous mission, the man seemed… excited? Well, she might be wrong but her memories wouldn't betray her. The girl was just worried that Eight might find it not comfortable to work with her again, hopefully not.

Noir wouldn't usually care about that kind of thing, about being liked or not by her teammates in a mission. But after several missions she did together with other people, the magician thought it would be important if there was a sense of… a little bit of trust and even a little comfort between each other. It wouldn’t be that much but she thought it would help to make the progress to do the mission to be much smoother. However she would not be offended or having a negative feeling if it turned out the man was really not comfortable to work with her, considering it was just a business relationship and Noir wouldn't force someone to form a closer bond without consent as well.

It was not long until all of them arrived at the mentioned place, a rather quiet area with not many people walking around there… Noir saw some people tending the rice field quietly, with sweats dropping from their chin into the wet ground. Then she would look around to see some houses, most of them were not a really good house it seemed, it was a little bit too run down compared to those houses she saw in the capital. Trying to stay focused on the mission without questioning her surroundings, the black haired girl would see the mentioned house of the dropouts… it looked like an abandoned house actually, with dirty front yards, lots of buckets filled with muddy water… But she could feel a hint of rukh that felt like lava magic from the house, a similar feeling she felt whenever she casted her lava magic spell. “I think this is the place.” She would say to the others.

Diana, the magician in Eight's employ was the first to react to the other Magician. Gazing at her rukh, seeing her swarmed by white, fluttering light, in stark contrast to the shadows that enveloped Eight. Diana bowed her head with the hint of a wispy to Noir. Leona, standing closer snuck a thumbs up to Noir, and a large smile was plastered across her face. Eight took notice of Haku, able to relax under the presence of his two guards. When she remarked on his silence, Eight quickly imagined how eager Naruto was to mimic his personage. Perhaps he showed Eight to be more impatient than he normally would be, which wouldn't be necessarily wrong if he had some opiates in his system. "I'm calmed by your presence." He spoke without looking her way, but peacefully. In fact, her presence seemed to be a little too frequent arousing his own suspicions. After hearing of the task to dispatch of a disgraced ex-Kaze member, he felt as if he was in Kogata.

Leona and Eight would ride in the carpet together, while Diana would use her gravity spell to keep up with the pair. The location was quaint, but his eyes didn't quite seem to notice anything out of the ordinary, but Noir called attention to a specific house... Diana nodded as to affirm Noirs suspicion. "Noir, stand back. Leona, Diana." The pair understood immediately, Leona barreled into the house with a shield up front, stirring the inhabitant. The man rose to his feet in an instant, grabbing the magical weapon nearby. Winding up the studded, iron club to swat off Leona with a Magmarun Hitter. A ball of magma 3 meters in diameta forming at the peak of the swing, launching into Leona. Blocked by her shield, and the excess of the ball, splashed onto Diana's Wall, which protected Eight.

Leona would Charge going full force after defending against the magic, pinning enemy against the wall of the house, while Diana retrieved the weapon and the traitor. Eight could hardly keep his cool upon seeing the fire-like magic once more. Eight would have to come up with some countermeasures for flames and the like. Fortunately, his two guardians could easily dispatch of this one person, but in the future, they might not be around. Diana returned the Kanabo to Eight, while Leona carried the unconscious combatant around with her. Eight would unfurl his magic carpet once more. There was enough room for them plus Noir and her beast, especially if Diana flew via her gravity. Perhaps if he invited her with him, he could gleam some information off her in the future.

"Noir, we'll be returning. There is no need for you to walk or fly back on your own, we're all going the same way. Eight waited for Noir to get on, and he sat close to her as Leona and Diana paired off, with the criminal and Kanabo being guarded by Haku. Eight's paranoia of Noir was only matched by his curiosity of her. "I suppose we're both going to be allied to Kazeharu after this, and we're both part of the same alliance. It seems as if the lands of Kina are brewing with anticipation. There is too much chaos." Even if Noir responded, he would ignore her, what was on Eight's mind now, was the reward. The rewards from Kogata were interesting, man power and secrets. Naruto was already quite valuable to him, and the secrets he personally obtained as well as the ones he shared with the rest of the crew he had.

Eight settled the carpet before the Kazeharu manor to let Noir off and return the criminal and the item.
