Job:

“This feels scary…” The red haired fanalis grabbed her own wrist, trying to stop her body from trembling. Altan felt the pressure, it was much...scarier than when she was tasked to observe the civil war of Kou. Even when she did the first task assigned to her so she could get into the clan, the redhead felt really really pressured. She still remembered the scene where she pulled the string of her bow and released that arrow towards that spy, succeeded in stopping the spy from escaping. But she wasn't able to imagine the fate of that captured spy… Her skin became paler as fear started to take her over and she could feel the chill starting to spreading all over her body. ‘What is happening…?’ Altan questioned herself, she never felt this kind of enormous fear. Perhaps the fact that she was all alone in the foreign country and doing a dangerous job all by herself made her feel like this? She tried to take a deep breath, slowly breathing in and out. She just wanted to go home, to her clan… to where she felt like she belonged… But in order to do that, she had to enter one of the clans in Kina, to create a connection for the revival of the Bey clan, she had to… embrace the fear.

Altan would take another deep breath before slapping both of her cheeks, trying to encourage herself and she would leave for her next task… “This time a samurai clan under Kogata, huh...?” She thought to herself, but she tried to not let herself feel the fear, she just had to divert attention and she just had to fight if she should. Altan gripped her bow tight as she headed towards this small fortress where the defecting clan was hiding, no matter how nervous she was feeling at the moment. But if only she was not alone…

Eight and his company were very quick to handle the trouble of the Kogata clan and were welcomed with open arms. Even though Jynx, his bodyguards and he were very careful with the escaping shinobi… Dalia was not nearly as careful, completely eviscerating the man with seemingly zero remorse. There was something to be said about the volatile Fanalis but the words escaped him.

Leona carried the body into the Kogata. She and her partner bowed their heads and prayed for him the entire way there, now the two looking differently at the young fanalis. However the Kogata were completely fine with the results. The rep for the clan whistled with a pair of fingers in his lips almost musically. From the shadows, a pair of Kogatan shiobis appeared and withdrew the corpse carrying it by the knees and shoulders, likely to dispose of the evidence.

"Well, since you handled this task for us, we do have a mission of some actual difficulty. We have a small group of our faction attempting to leave after we have imparted a fraction of our wisdom out. It goes without saying that unfortunately once you are given knowledge, it can never be returned." There was an implication that should the trio wish to join the Kogata, now they would have to pledge a lifebond to the clan. If they were to try to join another clan, they would likely meet a fate similar to the ones they were going to chase after. It was a concern to the slaver, but he knew allying himself with a clan based around information would serve him well in the future. Now the only concern was if they had already found out about his history as a slaver.

"The defectors are a samurai clan under our banner. Simply dispose of their guards and our shinobi will finish the job and clean up the mess." The Kogatan representative revealed a scroll from his sleeve and then casting it out on a table, it contained a map of the location, and some of the details concerning guard shift and numbers. Hidden behind the map, one could catch a glimpse of a dossier of all the members of the Samurai clan.

Crickets singing under the full moon. Eight was dressed in full black, head to toe, blending into the darkness of midnight. He only carried one item, a small, corked bottle filled up to the brim with a fluid. To Eight, this was an attempt at an assassionation. Diana had returned, descending from the air having had used her gravity spell. As she landed, she cast a small spell. The small area in the brush was lit up with the light magic of her Holographic Clairvoyance. It was a holographic cube of everything Diana had seen on her scouting flight with her nearly perfect vision. Outside of the castle were four guards, and a little further away with a bow was a fanalis. One a little taller and a little more mature than Dalia. "I guess we're having a little help. Let's go."

Betrayal, sometimes the mere act of it doesn't always come off as surprising. Such things are a way of life, especially if you are trying to achieve a certain goal that depends on solidarity. In this case, some people want to move pout from the Kogata clan,  individuals who have sworn their loyalty, but want to bow out and use a different approach to get ahead in life. Little did they know, this meant that the smell of death was upon them, it meant that there was something about the Kogata clan that couldn't be held together with the ties of loyalty. sometimes, there wasn't a reason, which is something that Lagi himself has come to experience when he was a ruler of a country. No matter how good he thinks that his intentions are, there will always be people who are willing to disrupt his goodwill and good nature. It's due to this reason that made Lagi the person he was today, not everyone can be happy.

"I guess that's one way of fixing the problem. Getting to them first in order to ensure that death is the only way out of the Kogata clan.  As long as you are paying us to do a certain job, those things remain sacred through the idea of professionalism itself, I have no intention of selling you out or sharing any other knowledge of what you do.  However, good help never comes cheap. With every successful job, I hope that you are funneling back all of this information to your leader. It's not always about money, but there is a price for everything, I'm sure you understand what it means to have Requiem Jynx of the Dark Hand assisting you. "

Lagi wasn't trying to be disrespectful, but the weight of his status and everything that he did in the past was what he was trying to bring across when he mentioned his title. Before being a king of monsters, he dealt in goods and pharmaceutical breakthroughs that not only served as addictive but popular enough to funnel in high sales.  This was child's play, doing business with them was the quickest way for eight to get what he wants. Lagi only wanted to stop beating around the bush in order to get it.

"I wonder how much longer we need to do these jobs in order to prove ourselves. The people in Kina definitely have their way of doing things,  but expediting the process doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. Or maybe my self-interests are overshadowing the actual job?"

He said this out loud as his danger sense was in full effect, not only sensing Eight and Dalia, but another person as well.

"Hm?"

Lagi took to the sky and flew over to who was standing nearby, tracking them due to orie's danger sense.

"And who might you be?"

Lagi said this to the mysterious redhead that he hasn't been acquainted with yet.

"I don't suppose you are an enemy, no? If so, the fastest way to prove it is to spill blood with the weapon you carry.  We are not the opponents that you want, and my flight is as effortless as the average magician, except that i'm not.  You do have two choices, you can join us and help, or you can leave and pretend you never saw us at all.   What do you think?"

Lagi said this Altan as he hovered 10 meters in the sky from her current location. It was really up to her in regards to how they proceeded.

"I'll let you know now, I don't like loose ends."

Dalia was pleased to know at least their mission was a success. She though couldn't tell how 8 felt about the whole thing, but if he was anything less than pleased who cared? He asked her to handle the guy right? And that's what she did! Who cared how?.... Gah! He needed to tell her his thoughts and he wasn't! That total Jerk! Her brow twitched watching him as they walked but she didn't say a thing, she shouldn't half to to get him to say anything to her. At least the babysitters seemed to be treating her differently though it was possible 8 just told them to do so.... for some stupid butt wipe reasons. It was likely just to mess with her.

The clan people when they had gotten there they were telling them about another mission and something about needing to bind themselves to the clan or whatever, who cared. Dalia was more focused on watching 8 tapping the scythe with her finger as she did so. Apparently the job was to kill off some others who parted ways from their clan that these guys were upset about. She glanced at the map they showed only briefly before returning her mission to burn holds in the back of 8's head with her eyes due to the sheer intensity she was staring at him.

When the time came to head forth Dalia left her resting spot with the scythe to her back again eyeing 8 who was all dressed up again before looking up to the moon with frowned brows taking a deep breath in before letting out a grumble mixed a bit with a growl as she stayed a bit away from him knowing she would be less stealthy then him and would only give his position away if she tagged along with him too close. Lagi she believed his name was off doing his thing perusal.

She didn't dislike him yet since he gave her no reason to but still had yet to give her reason to like him so she let him in a neutral shady place in her eyes. He though seeming to fly away again... That was a bit annoying she'll admit that. It seemed as though they both were checking out something... was she missing all the action? No way was she going to miss all the fun! Not after that last boring mission! She made her way a bit more to a clearing to not be totally spotted yet but to try and see what Lagi had flow off to check out. In the distance she could see... another Fanalis? This could be interesting she supposed.

For the love of Solomon, Altan was almost like thiiiis close to having a heart attack when this strange man approached her. The way he spoke made Altan tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, well, she could feel he was strong, like far stronger than her but… the redhead was not sure if she could trust this man or not. As the man hovered in the sky, the redhead lifted her bow and pointed it towards him, with sharp eyes locking at the man’s eyes, other hand getting ready to take an arrow from her behind. She would judge the man like that, but if she could be honest she felt a little bit silly for doing that, however she needed to make up my mind.

“I will fight together with you then.” The redhead said as she kept pointing her bow towards Lagi. “This is much better than being alone after all…” She murmured, audible enough for Lagi to hear her and reached her arrow before turning her body to aim her arrow towards one of the guards. Altan didn’t need a lot of time to aim, in just a second, one of the guards got hit right on his solar plexus. As the girl watched how the guard screamed in pain and sank to his knees, Altan took another arrow before shooting it again in just a second, this time aimed towards the middle of the guard’s sternum. As a long ranged fighter, the girl had taught herself on how to aim at vital points of her enemies ever since she learned how to use a bow. It would be useless if she couldn't hit the enemy and knocked them down in one or two hits.

“One down, three more to go, stranger.” The redhead shifted her gaze to Lagi, “Name’s Altan, nice working with you.”

As Lagi and Dalia went ahead, Eight pulled aside Leona and Diana after seeing how they were treating the young girl. Whispering "You dont know what that girl had gone through. People are usually a product of their environment, if she was able to do what she did, it's because of what happened to her. Now straighten up and do your jobs without judging a woman stronger than either of you." Eight paused and looked at each of them in the eyes. "Or else." He dismissed them to following behind Dalia once more. Their faces nearly crimson with shame and a hint of fear.

Eight would go around. Using the fresh recon mission info from Diana's clairvoyant light magic, in tandem with his recollection of the blue print. Eight would cut around through the brush out of sight solitting completely from Jynx and Dalia, not worrying about the potential ally.

Eight was more than well aware of Jynx s power, who would be able to completely obliterate the enitre castle in the blink of an eye, but thankfully Jynx was willing to let Dalia get some training in. Not that he couldn't use it either, most of his experience was exclusive to being a slaver. Having lost his beasts, he had now decided to take up being a warrior and this would be his first task as one.

The warrior in the knight going around behind the establishment to get more cover. Eight tried to be as stealthy as possible with each of his movements. He crossed the distance from the foliage to the building as best as he could. Revealing the flask of slime on his person.

As he approached a target from the building, a pair of arrows knocked out one of the guards with relative ease. Eight transferring his magoi into the tool. The cap off the slime bottle popped open from the pressure of the engorging slime. The slime expanded unstabely, as if a life inside of it were bouncing around, attempting to escape. As he steadied the magoi flow, the flask would turn into a handle of sorts for a living katar blade. Finally sneaking up on one of them and getting a fistful of katar into the kidneys of one of the guards but he was still standing. The samurai brought his yari back and feint a stab at Eight, befor bringing it back and going for his feet.

*Shiiiiing.

A wall of light intercepts the attack. This was one of Diana's spell protecting him. During this time, Eight shifted the shape of the sympathy slime into a spear mimicking the samurais with an extra foot of length.

Eight charged for a second attack on the spearman, only to be met with a clash from a yari thrust. But upon contact, the slime spear shifted, cut through only temporarily, reforming on the other side of the spear, jabbing the spear finishing the second guard off, for his team mates.

The archer seemed to point her weapon at Lagi, which was fair. Lagi had expected her to operate in such a way when faced with an individual that was willing to threaten her. Standing your ground might have the opposite effect and save your life sometimes, people that have a backbone do have a place in the world.  There was always a sense of admiration that Lagi maintained for people who stood up for what they believed in. At the time, he thought that not being human meant that he had to stand up as one of the strongest dungeon beasts instead, and with that,  achieve his desires of true equality upon the rebirth of the Alma Torran races. It was mostly a face, but reaching a certain level of power and might requires direction. Without it, one can go insane, or even worse, stagnant with no sort of goals or desires whatsoever.  Living in such a way would be the same thing as a death sentence to Lagi, especially that he was immortal. Well, he was partially immortal.

"Take your best shot and try to aim for the heart. However, if you don't make it a good one, you'll simply be added to the list of nameless bodies I made on my way here to Kina. "

It wasn't so much a threat, it was a fact of life. Lagi has killed a numerous amount of people in the plains before coming straight here. He had no connections to them, the only thing that they shared was the instance of opposition due to following Tenza, and Lagi's own desires of fame to counter him.   Adding another person to the pile meant nothing to him, which made him wonder deep down inside when it became more natural for him to take the lives of others. But much to his surprise, the woman decided against attacking Lagi and decided to work with him.

"My name is Requiem Jynx, I and my team are working on behalf of the Kogata clan.  This is probably the greatest day of your life  Altan, guilty by association, but you joined the winning team. When this is all over and the Kogata is remaining as the dominant clan, the only thing that you need to think about is how it'll benefit you in the end. "

After that, Lagi  5 feet away from her and took out his swarm bow. After feeding magoi to the bow, he then took aim at one of the remaining guards and used call of the hoard, firing off four arrows.  The arrows started to scatter around, following the target as it came straight for him. The samurai himself tried to fight against the arrows by using yari thrust to knock one of them out of the sky. However, the last three pierced his head and neck, each dealing C rank ability tier damage.

"Well, that's going to leave a scar. "

Dalia watched the girl aim her bow at Lagi with squinted eyes.... she was stupid... brave... no just stupid. She confirmed to herself with a nod and curled bottom lip. She then saw her fire at one of the guards and gasp growled. She was a fun stealer! She was having fun without her! How dare she! That total butt wipe!!! Then 8 was already over there taking out. Her eyes growing wide then with fury. How dare he! First making her feel all weird with not talking to her now just killing people before she could get there?! Then.... one more was taken out.... Her eyebrow twitched as she bore her teeth growling. Never has so many kills been taken from her... The rage she felt... could only compare to that of the night her family was attacked....

"Stop stealing my kills!" She roared out before deeply inhaling and letting out a Fanalis Roar Giving away her position to the last guard who was stunned in fear after seeing his comrades taken down and then a roar coming out. Dalia then darted out with her Fanalis speed roaring once more in anger as she jumped up and decked the guard with her full C Tier Strength knocking him to the ground as she landed on him her knees going straight into his gut as she let off one more full strength punch at C Tier to his face leaning down and roaring into his mauled face. She panting before rotation and plopping down on his chest crossing her legs and arms pouting.

"This is so not more fun then raiding local tribes Hyperion!" She shouted tilting her head back as she did so. She letting off a huff "First you don't say anything to me after I take out someone like you ask, then this?! This sucks..." She growled out the last part looking off. She didn't like to share... or at least when it came to killing. She pointed to 8 if she could currently see him looking over to her with one frowned brow and one wide eye. "None of them are even putting up a fight! I haven't even been hit once since the thing with the cage! Do you understand how boring that is?" She slammed her fits into the man below her making him groan before getting up and twirling her Pumpkin scythe slitting his throat so he'd bleed out.

"Beating this guy to death wouldn't even be fun any more." She said with a grumble of a disappointed child. She put the scythe back on her back then pointed to Altan looking to 8 again. And just because she killed someone first doesn't mean you get to replace me with her not that I care you BUTT WIPE!" She said jerking her hand back down seeming to calm down a bit... or at least as much as someone like Dalia could then looked to Altan. "Who even are you?" She asked annoyed. Seriously who was this girl? Some pansy with a bow and some pointy arrows and stupid bright red long hair? Come on she was old too! Look at her and all her soon to be one day wrinkly skin from her current old decrepit age! 8 didn’t need someone like her! He needed someone like Dalia who was young youthful and super cool! GAH why are these jerks making her care so much!?

"Requiem Jynx..." Altan repeated his name and nodded before smiling towards the hovering man, "I understand." She said, agreeing to what he said about how bringing Kogata as the dominant clan would definitely benefit her in the end. In her mind, it was only one thing, the Kogata shall help the Bey clan to rise again, no matter what. That was the determination she felt, no matter what, a simple word that could give a lot of meanings... for the redhead, it didn't matter if she had to deal with dirty missions as long as her clan could rise again. That was how far she would sacrifice herself for the sake of her clan, although she knew that probably she was going to be scolded by the elders for having that kind of thoughts. All of them were so kind... so loving... But the awakening of her clan has been taking too long now... she was worried and someone had to make a move, no matter how dirty it would be.

The girl saw as Jynx also used a bow to take down another enemy, slightly regretting her choice to point her weapon towards the man a while ago. Well, lucky for her that this man might look evil, but it seemed he was still able to talk, otherwise she would be another additional nameless body that Jynx murdered.

Altan remembered when Jynx mentioned about his team though and as she observed, she saw a man who was...using a slime like thing? She wasn't sure, but he also took down another guard. The last remaining guard would be taken down by this... brute...kid? The redhead was a little bit surprised, that child was definitely strong and ferocious, but why would they bring a little kid in a place like this. But it was not her place to question that, all she needed was to cooperate with them for Kogata's sake, she didn't want to really go into their businesses. But.. . 'Butt wipe...?' Altan thought to herself as the little girl complained to the other man before targeting her anger towards the archer. "...learn some manners, little girl. Who even are you...?" She snapped a little bit and repeated the same question the little girl asked towards her. But she would sigh, trying to calm herself down, it was no use to get into an argument with a little kid after all. “Name’s Altan… I will be working together with all of you for Kogata Clan.”
