xxxxxx Diana left the tavern with a bit of gold to line her pockets. She wasn't one to turn down a quick coin but she wasn't doing this for the money. Pluto was waiting patiently outside, snooping around where he could. Diana whistled as she began making her way towards the farm the flowers were delivered to. Her companion trailed carefully behind, directing her in the right path. Something about this made her slightly nervous. It felt like a trap but she still wasn't quite sure. Suddenly as they were walking, Diana had stepped on something that crunched beneath her foot. She picked up her foot to examine what she had stepped on. A single dried up flower lay in dust. Diana took her finger and slid it against the debris, putting it up to her nose quickly to smell. Aside from the dirt smell, it was quite similar to the aroma of the datura flower. It was enough to let her know they were on the right trail. But were they being lured into a trap? Diana mentally prepared herself for anything that could come of this.

xxxxxx Eventually they made it to what looked like an abandoned farmhouse. There was an eerie aura around the place but it didn't stop them from sneaking along the property. The grass was overgrown enough to hide Diana but Pluto stuck out like a sore thumb-- as always. He began growling when he suddenly picked up a human scent. It wasn't familiar nor was it friendly. Diana crept over to him for safety as they emerged from the brush. She had no weapons on her aside from her raw strength. Diana pressed her ear against the door carefully to listen for signs of life. It was silent. "Wait here," she told the mutt. He was much too large to get in through the door but would easily break in if he had to. Diana opened the door, shocked that it was unlocked. She practically tripped as the door opened as she was expecting resistance. While she was good at tracking, she wasn't the sneakiest.

xxxxxx Her footsteps made little noise as she crept around the home. It was a small, first floor house but the inside wasn't as abandoned as she thought. There were empty bottles of alcohol scattered around the floor in the kitchen. But no sign of the women who had been kidnapped. Nor a single flower-- or a box for that matter. It just seemed like a delinquent hideout. That is-- until she got to the rooms. Diana carefully opened one of the bedroom doors. It was dark but bits of light peeked through the boarded window. Enough to illuminate what seemed like a torture room. Lots of strange instruments were assorted around the room. The faint smell of vomit, feces, and burning flesh still lingered and only got stronger as she examined the scene closer. Whoever used this room didn't like to clean up and it was apparent.

xxxxxx Dried blood stained the warped wooden flooring and the wallpaper. It was apparent the room hadn't been used in a long time. It made her grasp a sense of what those women may have gone through. As much as she didn't want to be here, her ambition urged her to continue. Though after seeing this her faith in the women being alive was dwindling. They'd have to be extremely durable to survive the things in this room. Pluto had started barking outside. Startled, Diana hurried outside of the home. He never barked unless he needed to alert her of danger. Upon looking outside of the door, there were two men and a woman with their blades drawn at her beast. "Ey! Call yer beast off!" said one of them, obviously scared of the giant canine before him. "Wait, why was she in there?" growled the woman, glaring at Diana. "The boss'll kill us if we don't kill'em!" said the last.

xxxxxx It became apparent that they obviously didn't want them to escape. This was good, however, since Diana had no plan on escaping. The last man didn't seem to bright and would be easily broken. Though the other two seemed a lot more weathered than him. Diana walked towards the three, cracking her knuckles. It would be an easy job defeating all three of these people but she'd have to be on her toes if she wanted to win. "Git 'er!" one yelled. The stupid one charged Diana while Pluto blocked the other two off. The man desperately slashed at Diana, hitting her a few times in her left arm as she held it up to defend herself. The sword was dull enough to only leave minor wounds but it would still make her arm tough to use. She countered with a basic punch to his head which knocked him out but not before he got her as well with a critical hit to the gut.

xxxxxx Diana backed away, coughing, letting Pluto take care of the other two as she bandaged her arm. The man seemed to have more combat experience than the woman. She simply wildly slashed at Pluto, cutting him up just barely. The beast wasn't phased. "Praetego," commanded Diana and without hesitation he swiped the woman away with great force, knocking her back into the tall grass. "Ugh! You stupid dog!" she screeched as she arose covered in dirt. "Heh, he won't be alive fer long," said the man, stabbing his sword into Pluto's body. Pluto winced and snarled at the man as his wound dripped with blood. Diana was shocked he was able to get a hit in. "Praetego!" huffed Diana, worried for her companion. He managed to swipe away the attacker temporarily but he got back up with haste.

xxxxxx She dashed over to the woman, using a basic kick to knock her down to the ground again. The woman used the time Diana spent running to prepare a final stab before she was finished by the kick. Diana felt a sharp pain in her abdomen, holding the spot as it drenched her clothes with warm fluid. "Pluto! Finish him off already!" she growled in frustration. Pluto barked with a vicious snarl and clamped his jaws around the man, sword and all. In a desperate attempt to live the man began trying to slice up the inside of the dogs mouth but a simple basic bite was enough to sever his body in half. With two dead and one still alive, Diana figured it was enough for today. She carefully took the man and tied him up the best she could using some rope that was inside the house. Diana loaded him on Pluto's back before the made the trip back to the city.

xxxxxx The trip only took a half hour before they arrived back at the tavern. Their wounds weren't doing too well, the both of them tended to take a bit of damage. Luckily a magician was having a drink and was kind enough to heal the two of them. Diana thanked him for his charity and dropped the body of the unconscious man on the table. There was a quick silence but as the man began to move the people laughed and went on with their banter. "W-wha..? Where am I..?" the man was disoriented but Mars quickly took him by the back of his shirt and dragged him into a back room. Diana followed as she needed to ask him a few questions. "Talk," commanded Mars, pushing the woozy man into the wall. The man panicked for a second, trying to get the binds off of him but eventually gave up. "I-I don't know anythin'!" he said, his eyes wide in fear.

xxxxxx It took a while of talking the man down but he surrendered information about the transaction. It was a gamble but the guy she was looking for was his boss. Even though he didn't know where the women were, he knew where the hideout was and agreed to lead her to it. Mars kept him in the back room and locked the door for the time being. "You okay?" he asked, touching her where the wound was. "I'm fine," she replied, pushing his hand away. "Are you sure you still want to do this? I'll go instead," he said, gently grabbing onto her arm. Diana appreciated his concerns but she nodded her head and pulled away from his grasp. She wanted to wait until night to go after this man. If there was a time of day she hunted best in, it was the night time. Mars had compensated her with a bit more money, asking her to make sure she bought bandages just in case she got hurt again. Though Diana decided to pocket the money instead.
