Night has fallen over the country. The people had returned to their homes and the city was filled with light coming from behind the windows. Azuris sighed as she slowly stepped through the streets of this unbelievable big country. It was getting late but she didn’t planned on returning to her residence yet. Azuris had stored most her belongings in a different place. Zagros, her battle axe, a weapon she had just obtained, her bag and other things she wouldn’t need for tonight. It was unusual quiet around her and the sky was covered with hundreds of stars. As she stood still to look up and admire what was above her a fresh breeze of wind catched the females pinkish hair and whirled it up. After the wind had vanished Azuris stroke the remaining strains out of her face and continued to walk forward, approaching an area that was less populated than others but had a great landscape. Azuris had always prefered isolated places over those that were croweded by humans. The young Fanalis seemed to have some difficulties with other beings in general and somehow she had managed to stay alone for almost three years now. Ever since she had escaped from that place.

After a short while Azuris finally arrived at a small hill that had a few boulders on top of it. The crimson eyed woman quickly climbed up the hill and took of her cloak. She was wearing a rather short white sleeveless dress underneath. She also took of her black boots and her gloves, revealin the ugly scars on her wrists and ankles that were the result of being forced into slavery for over 10 years. Azuris sat down and closed her eyes, inhaling the warm air as she felt the grass underneath her feet and hands. A feeling she had missed so much, but Azuris was afraid to show her true self when she was around people, and finding herself in a night like this where everyone else seemed to be asleep eventhough the weather was beautiful was rather rare. The young woman had forced herself to make changes she didn’t wanted to. She bleached her hair, tried to be someone else eventhough she knew there were other ways. Other ways of dealing with this world, ways of becoming a part of it, living in it in peace, free from any fears. But for now, that was something Azuris could only dream of. She closed her eyes again and leaned her back against a boulder.

Azuris knew that she was alone because she was different from others. She tried to hide her origin by changing her appearance, but some days it seemed so ridicoulous to her that she was wondering wether or not people could tell if she was a Fanalis or not, only becauser her hair had a lighter color now. “I won’t cause my head to ache.. not this night.” She thought with a sigh, deciding that she would enjoy her alone time while it lasted.

Hours had gone by since the letter had arrived, and Alek wasn't sure of what he was doing… no, he wasn't sure of what he was supposed to do. He had abandoned his friends….

Or, at least that was surely how they were going to view it. He hadn’t wanted to; he had never been asked what he wanted.

He had been pulled out of his place in the world and forced to the other end of the world within a moment. He was halfway across the world from his group, and they were god knows where at this point in time. This was not what he wanted at all.

It was this reason that he had escaped from the city, he hadn’t returned to the place that he had been asked to come to, and instead he walked up to the top of the hill, his coat that he had acquired whilst on his journey through Zou flapping behind him in the wind.

His pink hair, as uncombed and messy as it had always been, blew slightly in the evening wind. He didn’t smile his usual smile, his usual carefree attitude replaced with uncertainty about what was going on. He was a soldier; he wasn’t a slave anymore, so why did he feel like he was powerless?

Why did he feel like he was a dog at someone’s beck and call? He hated himself, but more than anything, he hated the General for forcing him back here, for pulling him away from those friends who were so dear.

He’d dreamed of being able to punch Sloth until he apologized for acting the way he had, but now… but now he couldn’t do that, because they had gone from somewhere so close that he slept right next to them to somewhere on the other side of the world.

What was he supposed to do when he was alone now? He couldn’t go see his father because the moment he did, he would have to go to the General and explain why he had failed in his mission. He just hoped Sara was still around to explain what was going on.

Finally standing at the top of the hill, he noticed someone… someone whose hair was pink. For a moment, he wondered if she was a Fanalis, but then he decided that all in all it didn't really matter either way.

“So…. Running from someone or just think it’s time for a change?” he asked, his desire to avoid contact with other people apparently not stopping him from running his mouth like usual.

Azuris was enjoying the silence, the warm night and the fresh breezes that wouldn’t stop destroying her hair style, but she couldn’t help it. After a short while she couldn’t sit around and do nothing for any longer. Azuris stood up and stretched her limbs enjoying that little freedom she had gained now. She looked around but couldn’t spot another person so she slowly went into her fighting stance and started with a few slow moves before she became faster and faster. Ever since Azuris had fled from her fate as a slave gladiator who had lived within a cage for so long she hadn’t trained much. She was already skilled in Martial Arts and different Weaponary but she had figured out that the battle axe was what she could work with the best – enough reason for her to buy one right away. But tonight Azuris hadn’t brought Zagros with her and she enjoyed how her hands were freed from the heavy weapon and her limbs suddenly felt so light. She glanced over at one of the boulders that looked so destroyable and tempting to her but she stopped without crushing anything and kneeled down again. She definetly needed to train more. There wasn’t really a way around it if she wanted to become stronger and Azuris had decided that she would choose the path of a warrior no matter what.

It was around that time when an unknown figure had gotten closer to her without Azuris noticing until he actually raised his voice. The young womans eyes widened for a moment as she looked up to see who had encountered her. The man was roughly about her age. He had red eyes and his eyes had a dark shade of pink. Azuris stopped breathing for a moment, shocked by how he had shown up out of nowhere and caught her off guard but Azuris had gathered her thoughts quiet fast and she exhaled a deep breath of relief before answering him. “I’ve been running from everything for so long I got used to it. I can’t tell anymore if there is actually something behind me.” Her voice was calm, deep but yet feminine. Azuris spoke slowly when she was talking to others. “What about you?” She returned the question and stood up again, not wanting to kneel in front of someone who was talking to her. However, she avoided eye contact and inspected his clothing instead.
