The new waves had begun to roll in as the temperature began to balance between day and night across Imuchakk, Vodarara was once again heading out into the wilds to continue his hunts, though his mind was still at odds from the confusion that had been placed on his mind from Asisiak’s reactions during The Period of The Northern Dawn.

He was joined by his Companions, the Rabbit-wolf Shevika, her stunning fur of white with orange and other colours streaking their way through it and the Owl Chick that she had discovered that tended to find unique places to hitch a ride, it had found its way to being a permanent member of the family and was still growing, its plumage starting to change in tone to straight white from its mottled grey.

The owling rode upon his fursack today between its fur and that of the furs that adorn Vodarara’s body.

Vodarara was intending to head into the mountains, to hunt mountain goats and the like, their fur curly could be bartered in for items to Hunter desired though the furs themselves had little use other than patching up bedrolls for the him.

During this time, he hoped to try to fledge the young owling after all it couldn’t just sit on his backpack forever, he planned to be out on the hunt for a week or two before heading back into the villages to trade his wears, during this time he would be able to introduce Shevika to moving in the mountains.

Snow compacted and crunched underfoot as the snowboots of the huntsman pushed down into the snow as he advanced his way up the mountain side with his companions, he stuck himself in as many routes that kept them between rocky crags as possible, it would help prevent them from getting caught by any wind gusts while advancing over any rough terrain.

In a sense, all creatures of the wild respected another creatures strength and power, if it wasn’t worth fighting, the vast majority of beasts and beings avoided confrontation after all it wasn’t worth ones while receiving an injury, thus most would only fight to protect what they must or in battles they knew they could win with near certainty. Of course there was the occasional circumstance of a creature that just loved conflict and would fight at any opportunity.

Vodarara had no humanoid follower but rather had beast companions, like everything in this world, it all comes to an end one day, Vodarara had set found himself embraced in the fate of balance, fate drove him towards hunts or prey that affected that, In sense his companions had themselves become entangled in that fate and surviving in such a world of balance was something that you must experience by setting foot in those environments yourselves, these youngsters needed to head out into these places.

Thusly, that task fell to the huntsman, for the sake of his family, for the sake of his companions.

The hours turned towards days and the days began to move into weeks as the Huntsman, moved from sun-up to sundown through the mountains with his companion creatures, they worked their way through the rockways and snowbanks as they stalked the natural wildlife and the youngsters gained experience in footing and traversing of the mountains.

The huntsman had many intentions for this trip, both focused on both creatures and giving them a chance to experience new environments and challenges. A duty of an elder of a pack to lead the next generation onwards before they themselves succumbed to the fate of life and existence.

Shevika would gain knowledge of traversing and improve her abilities to stalk prey through the wilds and for the young birdling, Vodarara intended to fledge the youngster. It would be a challenge flying from a lower peak of this mountain range but sometimes you must take the challenge by the horns.

He would not however, let this time go to waste. They would return to the villages with prey, furs and hides and items for barter and trade, while hunting creatures of the wild that could be hunted without damaging the ecosystem that they relied on for their survival in the frozen wilderness.

It had been at least 24 cycles of moon and sun before Vodarara and his Companions returned to the nearest of the Imuchakk Villages with the hides, teeth, and other materials that they had collected during their exploration into the mountains.

Vodarara hoped his young companions had at least picked something up during this time, after all just like them they were all mortal and eventually the wilds consume all back to its root.

Vodarara, however still found his mind clouded… what did the Great Huntress herself mean… Vodarara never really understood the words of others, language was something he struggled with. What was he was he… Man or Monster.
