Hakaruru tightened his grip on Elias' hair, his eyes squinting against the wind as the beast slid down the icy slope. His fingers knotted in the fur, tightening his grip so he wouldn't be blown off as it raced down.

Suddenly, Elias swung to the side, coming to a stop and almost throwing it's rider off it. Hakaruru barely had time to react when he heard the tell-tale grows of the Iweth. He quickly scrambled off his beast and jumped back before putting his hand to his mouth. The Imuchakk whistled, his left arm sweeping to the side as his other hand pointed towards the white lion.

Elias in responded gave a short bark before propelling himself towards the other beast, naturally falling onto his belly and sliding forwards. The Iweth didn't jump away in time, getting bowled over by Sliding Charge. Hakaruru watched as his opponent gave a roar before leaping towards Elias, his eyes narrowing in slight concern.

"Get out of the way, Elias!" Hakaruru shouted, but the lion still managed to lunge towards the Lagombi, grabbing at its white fur before Chomping down. Elias barked in protest, shaking the beast away and swatting its face with his claws.

The Iweth growled and stumbled back, its teeth bared before starting to bound towards Elias. Hakaruru quickly whistled Falling Titan's tune, his arm sweeping out and pointing at the incoming beast. Elias, recognizing the attack, pulled itself up to its hind legs. The Iweth only realized their plot too late, and it wasn't able to scramble away in time before Elias fell down with a crash, crushing the Iweth beneath it.

The white lion's glowing started to fade as the Iweth growled and tried to grapple with Elias, its claws trying to dig into the other beast's arms, but a powerful strike to the side of its head ended its struggles.

"Elias, off!" Hakaruru shouted once the Iweth fell still, the Imuchakk running towards his companion. The Lagombi lumbered off the dead Iweth, its chest heaving heavily as it caught its breath after the harrowing battle.

Hakaruru quickly looked over the bite wound in Elias' shoulder, his hands reaching for his water skin. Thankfully for Elias the wound wasn't deep, just shallow enough to cause bleeding.

He opened the bottle of water before pouring some of the liquid over Elias' wound. "Sorry bud, but can you hold out till we get back to the tribe to patch that up?" Hakaruru asked, raising his head to look at the beast's eyes. His hand raised and in a loving gesture Hakaruru scratched the Lagombi behind the ear.

The beasts' ears simply flicked as Elias nudged Hakaruru in return. "Alright then," he mumbled stepping back as he looked away, "let's look for the other too Iweths.."

Hakaruru barely had time to utter these words before a faint roar reached his ears. The man quickly clasped his ears, pressing his palms tightly to them as he gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut.[/b]

Elias, quickly snapped its attention away from Hakaruru, its gaze spotting an Iweth five meters away. The insufferable lion snarled, it's hair prickling as the Iweth growled before starting to bound towards the pair.

The Lagombi turned towards its master, looking in dismay as Hakaruru simply crouched close to the ground, his hands still clasped over his ringing ears. Elias then turned back to the Iweth, barely managing to leap away in time from its attack. Elias quickly got to its feet, its ears perked as it wondered what happened to the Iw-

The beast spotted the lion rushing towards Hakaruru, the one who was obviously the weaker of the two in their current situation. Elias gave a sharp bark before pushing itself onto its stomach and sliding towards his master. He managed to intercept the Iweth before it reached Hakaruru, but his efforts earned him another wound. Claws raked into the Lagombi's side, causing it to bark angrily and lunge towards the Iweth.

The two beasts then started to circle each other, both baring their teeth. But it was obvious that Elias was at a current disadvantage- his master was disorientated and Elias needed someone to direct him.

The Iweth bounded towards Elias, its claws trying to strike at the Lagombi again. But the bear-like beast managed to rise to its hind legs. The claws did nothing to Elias' strong stomach, and it gave the right-standing beast to swat the Iweth away from him.

Hakaruru groaned to himself as the damned ringing finally stopped, his eyes half opening as the sounds of growling beasts washed over him. With a snap, the Imuchakk quickly pushed himself to his feet, turning around to face the battling beasts.

"Elias, back away!" The man shouted before bringing his fingers to his lips and whistling twice. He then quickly clapped his hands together in a way that imitated jaws snapping together in a bite. The Lagombi didn't see the motion, but the clap and the whistles had signaled to him the attack needed. The beast quickly lunged forwards before grabbing the Iweth and biting down with Piercing Teeth at it's scruff. The lion below him struggled, its angered whines filling the air as it tried to break away from Elias. Soon the Iweth's struggles started to slow before the beast collapsed completely. The Lagombi stumbled away from his kill, its movements sluggish as the beast sat down.

"Good boy, Elias, it's okay..." Hakaruru mumbled to no one as he stumbled over to the Lagombi. His arms wrapped around its thick neck, hands combing through matted hair as the beast rested. Hakaruru then pulled away, his phlegmatic expression returning as the man pulled out his water skin again and ran water over his partner's wounds.

"Rest, Elias. We can go after the next one when you're feeling better," the Imuchakk said as he put the skin away and sat down against the Lagombi.

Hakaruru spent the next couple of minutes or so, petting Elias' head and ears as they rested. But it wasn't long before another Iweth appeared over the crest of a snowy hill.

The lion started to creep forwards, its teeth bared when it noticed the fallen body of its comrades. Its low growls alerted the pair to their upcoming opponent, but Hikaruru patted his beast on the head before getting to his feet.

"Come at us, you ugly cat," Hakaruru uttered to himself as he spread his feet apart, Elias climbing to its feet at his side. The Lagombi gave a sharp bark before the Imuchakk whistled softly. Hakaruru's arms swiped down in swiping motions, and at the same moment the Iweth dashed forwards.

Elias, in response to his partner's orders, jumped forwards, closing the gap by a meter as it landed on its feet. The white lion in return lunged towards Elias, claws outstretched and ready to knock the rabbit-bear down. But it's lunge only brought it closer to its destruction as Elias swung his right claws upwards, the blow smacking the Iweth skywards. The second strike followed right after, the Lagombi swinging its left claws downwards and crushing the back of the lion's neck. The Iweth collapsed to the ground lifelessly, Elias following as it as he two fell to his front paws. It was at that moment did Hikaruru rush forwards, quietly looking over his partner with the smallest traces of worry. At least the duo managed to take down the Iweths, but it was long due for them to return home.
