Name:Kerum Kosha
Country Affiliation:Wanderer
Race:Human
Tier:D
Class:Warrior
Age + Birthdate: 19 + May 22nd:[/b]
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality:

Kerum is a cold person, that feels if you are not strong you are nothing.  He is a survivor who will always try his hardest to survive.  If he respects you or he feels you are family he will do just about anything for that person.  But on the other end if he has no respect or no bonds to you he will generally not step in to assist you in any way shape or form.

He tends to stay to himself being a wall flower observing what is going on around him.  In most situations he is not the thinker or talker.  But is always ready if action breaks out.  When in a fight he tends to stay level headed and is very rarely provoked into anger.

Kerum can be cruel in his actions, especially from the view point of others.  If a man was dying of thirst he would not help him, as he feels they should be strong enough to survive on their own.  The only time this is not upheld is if it is someone he cares about or feels he owes something too.

Killing is something that Kerum does not do often. If there is no need to kill someone he will just maim them or cause them to no longer be able to fight. If they are actively trying to kill him, he will do what is needed in order to survive. On the flip side, he will not try to stop anyone from being killed unless he has a strong bond to them.

Likes:

-Weapons: Kerum loves weapons of all kinds, but he has a weak spot for swords.  If a person has quality weapons he holds them with more respect unless of course they are horrible in combat.  As such he feels they are unqualified of the weapon.

-Fighting: As a warrior he loved testing his strength against others.  Those who are powerful he respects, those who are weak he does not.

- Meat: He loves his meat, if he did not need the vegetables for proper nutrition he would not eat it.  If you hand him a well cooked piece of meat and he will be content.

Dislikes:

-Cooking: Kerum is terrible and cooking and will only do so if he is forced.  Going so far as to just eating food raw or dry jerky over cooking something.

-Swimming: Getting wet is not something the man is fond of.  That makes swimming a huge dislike, he can swim however hates it.

- Goody Goody people: Those who go out of their way to help those in need or to protect the weak from stronger people.  He feels that you should be able to protect yourself.

-Being saved: Kerum hates being saved in combat, the only time he tolerates it is literally if he was about to die.  Otherwise do not interfere with his fights.

Aspirations:

Kerum aspires to be the worlds greatest swordsmen and blacksmith.  He feels that those who are the best equipped can have the best chance of winning.  He does not put all his faith in his sword knowing that he too much be just as strong.

Family: It has been a long time since he felt like he had a family, so one of his long term goals is to find some group that he fits into that will treat him as family.  Until then he will wander.

Phobias/fears:

-Fear of drowning, that is probably his biggest fear.  When he was younger the boat he and his parents were on was struck by a storm.  He was the only survivor, it had taken a few days before he had washed ashore.  Ever since that day, fear of drowning has caused him to be wary of the water.  Over the years he has gotten to the point where he can get on boats, but he is tense and anxious the entire time.

Another lesser fear is of his weapons breaking, each one is a part of him.  He will go to immense means in order to repair any of his weapons that might have been broke.

Face-Claim: I do not know the anime characters name.
Hair Color: Black, mid-back length
Eye Color: Light Brown
Height: 185 cm.
Weight: 75 kg.
Appearance:

Kerum has long black hair that falls to the middle of his back.  He typically will wear it down unless he knows for sure he is about to get into a fight and then puts it up into a ponytail.  He almost always wears white clothing with black trim on it.  A white shirt and white pants with a white jacket on top.  His boots are pure black as well as a black belt that hangs his weapons.

A white pack also hangs from his shoulder containing all the things he will need. He travels light and keeps his money pouch in a pocket inside of his jacket. It is far to easy to steal if on a belt pouch.

Rukh Alignment: White
Special Features: None

History:

Kerum was born to a low family in Reim, everyone had to work in order for them to feed and pay for anything they needed.  It was not a horrible live but it was tough.  He learned quick that nobody would be there for you expect for yourself.  At a young age he dreamed of one day being a knight or soldier touring the world and fighting those that got in his way.

Mistreatment from the soldiers in his village however quickly caused him to rethink that.  When he was eight years old his family had decided to take a boat to one of the larger cities down south.  Halfway there a storm hit and pulled the ship farther from the coast.  In the middle of it the ship snapped in half capsizing.  When Kerum woke up he was the only one that he could find floating on a piece of wood.

Several days later he had passed out and washed up onto the shore.  A traveling blacksmith had found him and taken him as his own.  For the next eight years he learned how to be a blacksmith and traveled Reim selling their goods never staying in one city for too long.

It was a rough life at first, never knowing where he would sleep next. Several times they would have to sleep in the rain or go a few days without food. He learned how to hunt and fish during this time. Being able to find your own food was something he had not thought he would have to do before the accident.

Several times they would have to travel farther to find a bridge as Kerum would refuse to wade or swim across. The trauma from his parents death was still to strong for him. Eventually he got over it, kind of and was able to cross lower rivers and even get on boats.

When Kerum was seventeen his adopted father was killed by bandits.  Fighting them off he lived but it was at a terrible cost.  Since then he has tried to rebuild what he could of his life moving from town to town looking for work in repairing things and making weapons.

Role-Play Sample:

The sun was high in the sky as Kerum walked down the road with just a simple pack of supplies on his back.  He wiped his dry lips as he checked again to see how much water he had left.  The man had misjudged how much he would need and had been rationing it out for the past few days.  The map in his hands stated that he should be at a city within the day.

Each step was slow and forced as his body was starting to shut down.  The area was desolate and any attempts he had made to find water in the lightly forested area had failed.  No rivers had been marked on the map, expect for the one that ran through the next city.  Wiping his brow he took a final sip of his canteen and shoved it back into his pack.

A large hill rose in front of him blocking out the sun, letting out a sigh of relieve as the shade comforted his dry face. His white jacket, well no brown from dirt, was tied around his waste, the heat being to much for him to handle.  Slowly but surely he made his way up the hill.

As he crested the top he let out a sigh, he could see the town now the blue river cutting it almost in half.  "Finally."  Kerum croaked as he picked up the pace his feet dragging with each step.

For anything regarding word counts. I use Word Count Tools to count them.

1.) Age + Birthdate field is a little wonky. It should say in your case:

"Age + Birthdate: 19 + May 22nd"

2.) Personality is only 188 words. You need at least 200 words.

3.) Height and Weight should primarily be in centimeters and kilograms. Though you are free to add feet and pounds next to it.

4.) Appearance is only 78 words. You need at least 100 words.

5.) History is only 253 words. You need at least 350 words.

Other than those minor issues, it's good to go. Please bump the thread when you're finished making the changes.

Just butting in as a token of info.
The character's name is Yu Kanda, from D.Gray-man.
Right clicking pictures and 'search Google for image' is what enables me to figure out what anime things from and etc.

Now that you have been accepted, you should go on to creating all the things you'll need. Keep in mind, you may start role playing now but I would suggest getting all the following out of the way before entering any sort of combat:

  • Create your vault! Everyone on the forum is required to make a vault. It is something that you manage personally to keep track of your character's development and belongings. The forum you post this in is located under The Room of Fortitude [Creation Center] > Vault. The link to the template is here. Your vault should have the elements of the template in it but you can customize it however you want!

  • Create your starter weapon! Since you're a Warrior-- you'll want to create a weapon. The forum you post this in is located under The Bazaar [OOC Shop] > Merchant's Alley > Hakim's Smithy > Weapon Smithing. The link to the template is here.

  • Create your starter abilities and traits! The forum you post this in is located under Room of Fortitude [Creation Center] > Abilities/Traits. The link to the template is here. Keep in mind you start out with 2 trait points. Also, when creating starter abilities-- you will create 4 D tier and 1 C tier.

  • If you have any questions, comments, or concerns-- please don't hesitate to message me. I'll be more than happy to help you out the best I can. Thank you for joining us and I hope you enjoy everything the site has to offer!
