Julius Virgil, the pirate, was trotting along the stone walkways of the marketplace. Flung over his shoulder, resting there, was a massive barrel filled with spice. He's been working all over the place, trying to rack in some easy funds, after all, it all ends up in the end. He was instructed to bring a spice merchant this barrel, the captain of the ship was really specific as to where the merchant was to. He was sincere about it, maybe it's not just spice? Who knows..? He's not gonna lose money over it. The salty dog was going to need a hardy ship and a tough crew in order to once again, sail those blasphemous oceans. He couldn't wait until he was able to purchase a ship.. or maybe even commandeer one? He was a pirate before all else.
Merchants often tried to stop his walk, attempting to persuade him to buy useless knick-knacks that'd probably get stolen or get lost a month or two later. Julius inwardly sighed as the barrel slowly weighed down on his shoulder. He knew those scams like the back of his hand, he may have even created some of the tricks these cheap store-owners use. The pirate grinned at the thought of such a thing. He might have just been pulling it out of his rear end, but, regardless, it motivated him to get this job done faster. That's when it happened, a couple meters away, an old woman was knocked onto her behind by a young man, sprinting away as if his life depended on it. Julius' eyebrow quirked inward when the awkwardly shady youth ran away without even apologizing. Julius placed the barrel upon the floor before bending over and helping the elderly woman up to her feet.
"Are you okay Madame?" Virgil questioned worriedly. His face full of concern, no woman of this age deserves to be knocked over. It wasn't like she was holding a knife and threatening the boy.
"I'm quite alright young man," the senior citizen responded as she rose from the ground with the help of the pirate. Suddenly, two guards rushed past Julius and the old woman, maneuvering around them rather than flashing into them. It didn't take Julius long for him to realize that the boy was in trouble. No one should run that fast without reason. The guards were having a hard time getting through the crowd due to their weapons and large body shapes.
"Stop! Thief!" one of the guards yelled. Julius looked towards the direction in which the boy ran before turning to the woman he'd just assisted.
"Watch this for me real quick please," the sailor commanded before sprinting off after the boy. Julius started running in a mad dash, attempting after the boy. His thin body shape allowed him to easily maneuver throughout the crowd. Julius used his Enhanced Speed to quickly catch up with the boy. When in sight, Julius leaped off the ground delivered a swift Power Kick to the boys back. The pirate caught the bandit afterwards, holding him to the floor. Both of the thief's hands had been restrained, so he wouldn't be able to reach for the knife. Julius took the blade off the belt and threw it aside. The guards quickly caught up with the two. A crowd of people stood around Julius and his little prisoner. The guards took no time in apprehending the purse snatcher. The woman who's purse must have been stolen followed after the guards and emerged from the crowd soon after. She curtsied to Julius, opened up her purse and gave the hero some extra funds for his troubles. The crowd cheered for Julius as he made his way back to the barrel, where the old woman stood guard. Julius thanked her and completed the job!
