Imuhulk: Origins VIII [Chain/Hohotaro,SolomonxKing]

Quest:

Hohotaro and Solomon successfully infiltrated the facility and they were able to sabotage the lock of the gates. They go back to the Crimson Corsair to get ready for the actual attack. It's almost midnight when they arrived on the ship and they went straight to the Captain's quarters to report the success of their mission.

"I'm impressed, from what I can see our enemies have not been alerted by our presence." The mercenary leader stands behind a table watching the facility through his magic tool. "But I doubt they would remain ignorant for too long. We should act fast." The mercenary leader sets his magic tool back in it's holder and walks towards the balcony of the ship overlooking the main deck. "Men! It is our time to have some fun! I know most of you have a beef against slavers. And now we would get our revenge and even more we get to fill our pockets of those rich pigs back on the mainland Haha! Ready your swords! We attack before daybreak. We won't let them live long enough to see the light of the new day." The mercenary leader rallies his men and they responded with a resounding scream.

Hohotaro scratches his head. "Why won't they scream louder, they can't hear us clearly yet..." He says sarcastically under his breath as he watched the mercenaries getting ready for the coming fight.

The mercenary leader passed by Hohotaro and Solomon. "You boys better get ready too, we'll be spearheading the attack. If you're up for it."

Hohotaro glances at Solomon to see his reaction and he would just shrug. "Well yeah of course we're up for it... we're ready when you are."

The ship heads straight towards the facility. Everyone is shouting trying to lift their morale. It would be a hard battle but hopefully they would come out of it alive.

Solomon finally making it back to the ship decided that it would be best to leave Largo there, "So its best if we leave the vessel far enough in in the water where it may not be spotted or pull it in closer... but we should make sure to keep it somewhere safe for the journey home." Solomon would say looking over to the leader of the men, but he was more concerned about Largo. Solomon knew that some of the men would most likely not make it but he could not protect everyone, but he would try his best to protect the leader as he said he would, that and Hohotaro. "Do what you can to protect the leader, if we lose him we lose all the moral behind all the mercenaries, we have to do our best to avoid that." Even as the ship headed for the facility and all the men shouting before battle were around him he would not feel excited or sad, he would look towards the facility at the front of the vessel and feel nothing, and he wished to feel that way as he he wished to never enjoy killing he wished he could avoid killing all together.

As he looked he would be able to see movement as they got closer, the numerous amount of men moving around the facility, "It looks like they noticed us guys, be ready!" The numbers he could remember from earlier was ridiculous but they might be able to pull it off, it would be hard and Solomon knew this.

"You don't have to tell me that." Hohotaro grins as he looks forward staring intently to where they are going. "I want to protect everyone not just their leader and the best way to do that is to take out as many enemies as fast as I can."

As they grew closer Hohotaro can feel the tension rises. "It looks like they noticed us guys, be ready!" Hohotaro listened to Solomon and get ready by equipping his bow.

The leader jumped down from the balcony of the captain's quarters and said. "This is it boys, arm yourselves!" Hohotaro followed the leader in front of the group and as soon as the ship docked and the plank dropped the leader unsheathes his sword and pointed forward. "Charge!"

Hohotaro didn't have to wait for the leader's command he charged straight towards the facility. There are movement inside the facility, archers are filling the facility's ramparts. As soon as it's within Hohotaro's range he nock his fizzing arrow and shoot it. It travels towards the top of the wall and explodes making it rain lava over the archers. Hohotaro can hear the pained screams of his enemies. He winced at the sound but he knows it's necessary it's either them or him and his allies. Their plan worked, the enemies are having a hard time stopping the bulk of the mercenary's force with an open gate. They managed to easily push through towards the inside of the compound.

Once they've reached inside they are met with more guards and 2 imposing figures standing high above the rest. Two imuchakks that are robbed of their will one male another female. Hohotaro notice something strange with this two imuchakks, they looked tamed, they are not as wild as the imuchakk they fought in the bazaar. Someone might be controlling them from the inside of the facility. A fear surfaced within Hohotaro, someone might be able to control him like those guys and starts attacking his allies.

"Imuchakks, are they the ones we're supposed to rescue?" The mercenary leader sarcastically asked Hohotaro.

"No..." Hohotaro replied gritting his teeth. "Stay away from them if you can, let us take care of them."

Hohotaro nock his clay tipped arrow and aimed between the Imuchakks. He fired his sticky arrow in hope to immobilize both of them before they have the chance to attack. White cloud fills the area around the Imuchakks and almost instantly it turned into a thick web trapping everything within. Well... almost everything. The two imuchakk just shrugged the web and started charging towards the group.

Hohotaro get ready to block the attack but the Imuchakks passed by him. It might be too late to realize that he was not the target, both of them are going after the mercenaries.

Ability used:

Solomon would have his axe drawn as he yelled out to be ready to those behind him, as the vessels plank dropped down and connected with the earth he would then see first Hohotaro charge towards the facility which Solomon found odd, he would think that someone with a bow would be back a bit more but he did have the strength to be front line so Solomon would not be to concerned about him too much. Just after Hohotaro charged off the vessel he would then see the leader and many of his men follow stead, it was not till then Solomon would charge, he would be trailing slightly behind Hohotaro as they would see the two Imu men charge, it was far too late to stop one of the Imu's but the other was close enough and if he continued on his path it would lead straight towards the leader of the group, it did not care about friend or foe as it charged its path. Solomon knew he had to do something and the words of the leader ringed in his head, "No one can ever guarantee safety in life no matter what strength they have.." Solomon would shake his head as he thought to himself, "Well I can try and it would be worse if I didn't" Solomon would lift his arm towards the Imu and then use Onyx Wall Solomon knew it would not do much but he would then Immediately use Molten Spill immediately after, and short seconds after one would see the Imu smash through the wall and charge right into lava, but that still was not enough to stop him, it had slowed him down however, and Solomon knew that was enough as it gave him enough time to jump in front of the Rampaging Imu and use Fortress Wall Stance the Imu would smash into Solomon and they would both slide in the dirt feet still planted into the ground, the impact from the skill alone was enough to take out many men around Solomon but it did not reach the leader and that was enough for Solomon. Just checking on the leader was enough time however for the Imu to attempt to use Flurry he would connect his first punch just grazing Solmon's shoulder he would be able to feel the force of a cannon pass him, but then each other punch would meet with Solomon's Weapon Basic Block Solomon was already struggling but thankfully men from both sides knew to stay away from the two of them as the parried swings from the Imu's flurry even took out a few of his own men standing by.

Solomon struggling would not have time for anything other then attempting to dodge or block any attack the Imu had, but due to the fact the Imu was so offensive he would not see the next attack coming not many knew about this skill as even Hohotaro had not seen it yet. Suddenly after taking a step back and opening his palm to the ground he would use Natures Warning and a growth of roses and vines would appear pushing straight up into the air at a speed of 20 m/s, this would surround Solomon making it look like a tower appearing around him.  The thickness being that of 1 meter thick all around him, these vines would have thick thorns that almost look like daggers being 12 cm long, it was enough to make the Imu step back surprised as a attack came out of the earth beneath him, and that gave the skill enough time to then discharge all the thorns around the tower in a 15 meter diameter around himself shooting outwards at a speed of 20 m/s, this would deal B-tier damage to the Imu and everyone around the two of them, it would make many of the men that were still stupid enough to surround the two of them fall including some of his own, and as the tower would then begin to disappear you would see seeds fall from the vine which Solomon used on the inside of the vines get sucked into the ground. "If I kill my own, I will at least give them flowers." he would say out loud as the thorn like daggers began to grow into roses on each corpse, and the vines began to spread the ground.

Looking to the Imu he would see that the skill connected as a rose grew on the chest of the Imu, but it did not do enough.

Abilities Used:

Solomon blocked the male charging Imuchakk and it causes it to discharge a damaging shockwave around it.  Hohotaro manages to dodge out of the shockwave because he is far away from the fight but those around the immediate surrounding of the Imuchakk was affected. It even cancelled out the charge of the female rampaging Imuchakk. Hohotaro uses this chance for his attack.

A shower of rose petals fills the area from Solomon's skill it was a beautiful sight amidst the chaos. But Hohotaro doesn't have time to be mesmerized by it. He shoots a fizzing arrow on top of the two rampaging Imuchakks causing it to rain down lava on top of them careful that he would not hit any of the mercenaries Solomon and of course himself, but not only that he also unleash a flaming arrow that turns the ground into magma again carefully placed that it only hits the two rampaging imuchakks. Hohotaro immediately dispels the magma on the ground and runs forward and shoot his bow two times using normal arrows. One of the arrow hit the male Imuchakk Solomon is fighting on the back and the other he hits the female on her chest. Both of the arrows was deflected by the magoi shield covering the imuchakks but Hohotaro can see that it weakened it a bit..

As soon as Hohotaro is close enough he leaps forward and  slams his foot to the ground in the middle of the two imuchakks. Each stomp of his foot causes a shockwave cracking the earth and damaging the two imuchakk caught in it. Hohotaro's consecutive attacks caught the attention of the two imuchakks. They both charged towards Hohotaro. He leaps back as fast as the charge and managed to dodge the attack at first but the Imuchakks are unrelenting. Hohotaro just keep jumping back until he is far enough from Solomon and his mercenary allies. He manages to sneak another shot of his bow towards the female Imuchakk but they are quickly closing in towards him.

Hohotaro covers his whole body with magoi and faces the rampaging imuchakks head on. It was such sight, a small framed Hohotaro facing two towering Imuchakks on his own. As he expected the an explosion came after the clash and a shockwave sent outwards both of the Imuchakks getting damage by their ally's attack.

The female imuchakk seems to have her shield broken as it loses her strength and falls to the ground on her knees. But the male Imuchakk seems to still be raring to go. He winds up starting his flurry but Hohotaro already saw it coming from his experience with the Imuchakk from the bazaar.

He tackled the male Imuchakk making him lose his balance and Hohotaro uses this chance to back up and shoot 4 bright glowing red arrows. It hits its target, each arrow chipping away the shield that's covering the male rampaging imuchakk, with the second arrow the shield completely dissipates, the last two arrow burrows itself deep into the Imuchakk's chest.

The sense of danger left Hohotaro when he saw the other Imuchakk fall to his knees. He then calmly shoots a clay tipped arrow that traps the two imuchakk in place with the thick white webs. He then look around on the other fights around him panting. He saw the carnage the two imuchakk left in their wake, countless bodies on the ground from both sides.

Hohotaro remembered the caravan and what Solomon told him about when he "turned". Hohotaro grits his teeth and with great anger with himself or with the circumstances, or maybe it's fear the he will turn into these monsters and his revulsion towards the thought, he executes the two immobilized imuchakk shooting the male on his head, and also shooting the female.

Ability Used:

Solomon surprised by the shot that Hohotaro took would immediately have to back up so lava would not rain down upon him, then looking he would see the ground turn to magma, "OI!! that one is my thing!" he would yell over to Hohotaro, seeing that he was wishing to fight both the Imu's he would immediately turn to run into the crowd of men towards the leader, he use his fists to smash the side of any enemies head that got into his path, stopping from time to time to throw enemies off mercenaries that were losing. As he reached the leader of the mercenaries he would then begin to beat down men around him diving towards one enemy to the next, it would only take a single punch from him and the men he hit were done with crushed limbs or organs. He would see how Hohotaro did in the distance able to see that he could take the two Imu's down, but then his eye's would be drawn to the others around him, they were all simple enemies to the point that he would almost get bored as it only ever took one punch but he avoided killing who he could, it was not something he wished to do. The night was not calm as the wind began to rise, Solomon would look up and feel drops begin to hit his face, "Ohhhh, this is what i'm used too." he would yell out just before the rain began to fall. After moments the earth would begin to turn to mud and many men would fall and stumble through it as they fought, but this is how Solomon usually trained, all would be able to see Solomon standing above them as he kicked them farther to the ground and those who could balance themselves in the mud could not do it when they received a basic attack to the face. After the battle people would be able to look around and see each other, many men died on both sides and any men any men that were injured were too injured to survive so they would have to be mercifully put down, Solomon would look to Hohotaro and even though they won the battle one would be able to see sadness in his eyes and his expression remained emotionless. As thunder and lightning went on around him Solomon could only think of his past, with each flash a different face, a different person who was close to him but lied to him. Solomon would then walk over to the Imu's and examine them, "This is not what they wished to do, and I do not understand who would put someone through this... But whoever it is will pay a price that will not be easy to pay." He would then look to the leader, who could only look over his men and the men that he lost.

Hohotaro look around the battlefield to see the mercenaries finally able to take control of the fight. He can feel a tinge of guilt as he see the dead bodies on the ground. He proposed the reason for this... carnage... was a noble reason such as saving the captive Imuchakk, but in reality it is for his own selfish reason in trying to find a cure for himself.

"We've got this! Don't let up!" The leader shouted to fill his subordinates with the morale needed to continue the fight. Even though there are many lives lost he knew that he cannot save all of them, that's just the reality of life. He will mourn the dead but he will not let them stop him from moving forward. He then turn to Solomon and Hohotaro. "You go inside, do what you gotta do, we're staying here to take down the remaining soldiers."

Hohotaro nodded and drags his feet towards the facility. Hoping that inside he will find the cure and finally this nightmare will end.
