The Gate
Buer, The Gate 7EPinp5

Preface:

It was another day at the dungeon, and a group of Balbadd mercenaries were sitting nearby the entrance. Five campfires were blazing, and they were in the middle of eating their lunch. Soup, boar, deer. Their morale was high, and even as new challengers to the dungeon appeared they simply waved at them in a general good mood.

It was true that some that challenged the dungeon never returned, but on some occasions they had seen people return. Never with information about what was inside... Though there was always one thing that those who returned muttered. "I failed..."

The group of mercenaries weren't sure when, but rumors began to abound that the Djinn favored those who were most at tune with the land and the law of the jungle...

OOC:

The gate can be touched/approached by anyone without needing a ticket. Normal rules apply; only 1 person brought alongside a candidate. Please state, OOC, your group and who is the candidate.

Keep in mind that if the candidate is refused, the companion will also be refused and removed from the dungeon.

Good luck to you all ^_^.

P.s.p.s.: Those who join the thread must wait another 24 hours before actually touching the gate. Anyone else is free to interfere in that time if they want to. After those 24 hours are up, however, the people aiming to touch the gate are clear to enter, even if somebody posts after saying that they want to interfere.

The scene was beautiful, the sun shone brightly on all the sun-kissed Balbaadians who were roaming the bazaar. The sounds and people reminded her of Heliohapt sans the slaves, which was a bit of an oddity, but she didnt mind. Being a neophyte and not having visited Balbaad before she definitely took advantage of the markets. She bought maps leading through the forests as well as plenty of food for herself in her pack. They were selling weapons and more provisions but she hadnt a clue on how to use any weapons and with her inexperience they were likely to get in the way of her abilities. With a sack full of fruit, a pair of waterskins to take with her, she sought out two more things. From the sounds of things she would get better quality for one of those things closer to her destination.

Chimera noticed there were more businessmen and women instead of actual people challening the dungeon. It was almost eerie that people had sought to monetize the event so quickly, but she shrugged it off. The brunette found her way to a group of people that were marketting themselves as guides to make it through the forest. She found them all relatively confident but more than explorers they were sellers.

After a short negotiation on price and just exactly what the service that was being offered was, they had come to an agreement, for a modest amount of gold a guide of her choice was to lead her through the forest as safely as possible. They made a point that speed was not an issue, and mentioned that some people were being rejected from the dungeon nearly immediately without a chance to get back in.

Chimera picked the youngest of the guides as the young guide reminded her of one of her own slaves, a young adult of balbaadian descent that was darker than most, which would have seemed like a Helio native. She said she would be back in a while and that she wanted to observe the Bazaars goods, when in actuality she was wondering what sort of rumors she could pick up on as well as try to scope out the average level of competition that had been going into the dungeon as well as some rejectees.

SUMMARY

Landed on the island. Checked the bazaar. Bought food for the road, a map of the forest and a guide for the forest. Staying for a bit to hear rumors, find out the skill and power of people that have gone in, and to find people who were rejected.

OOC

I am contending, and am planning to take Zadi with me. If there is an issue with Zadi about it, I will go solo.

Having arrived within the outskirts of the dungeon within the forest that has markets and bazaars lining the very same forest, Zadi decided it be best to just try and hope into the dungeon. He'd already been within three dungeon, successfully coming out of all three of them, obviously. Though injured nearly every time, he always came out with some treasure. This time, however, Zadi would attempt to come out unscathed, much like when he went into a dungeon with Yakuroro.

Ah...good times. Scary and extremely dangerous...but good times.

Indeed scary and very dangerous. That really went for all dungeon other than Vassago. Her dungeon was filled with happy angels and cherubs, granted bloodthirsty yet also- no, just hungry for blood. At least that is how Zadi remembers the flying creatures with humanoid appearance. Zadi went into that dungeon with Lagi, now a king of all things.

Funny how life works. Chance of that happening, hahaha! Wonder if he got off that island...

And finally, the latest dungeon he endeavored was named Bifrons. It was an attempt to attain more knowledge of dungeons and djinn, but unfortunately didn't provide any useful information other than the trials that dungeons offered. Each dungeon seemed to get stronger and stronger towards the end, more or less. On top of that, each dungeon also ended up being more difficult than the last. Unfortunately, Zadi has forgotten about the man that he went into that dungeon with. However, Zadi did remember that the very same man helped Zadi get out of the dungeon with his life. A serious shame that Zadi couldn't remember that man's name.

Wonder what path he chose after capturing Bifrons...

After three grueling dungeons, Zadi felt prepared for a fourth. Maybe even a fifth if another arrived later. All depended on whether his training after Bifrons and the battle experience gained during the Reim-Kou war would pay off within this new dungeon.

Anyway, Zadi approached the dungeon's gate within the jungle-like forest and proceeded to touch the gate. Zadi's right hand slowly made its way, palm parallel to the glowing door. Inch by inch, centimeter by centimeter. After a second or two, Zadi could feel the pressure of the door and finally- nothing. Zadi's surroundings seemed to comically fade to silence upon this discovery. Zadi started to feel up the door in an effort to try and find a switch or lock that needed to be touch, but to an equally amount of avail, none. After about a half hour of kicking and punching what felt like thin air, Zadi thought up another way to enter the dungeon.

"I should try to find someone else and 'tag along'. Wonder if this dick-of-a-dungeon will let me in then, hmph."

Frustrated by the dungeon's behavior, Zadi sent off in search of someone that would let Zadi 'tag alone', for all intents and purposes. Fortunately, Zadi didn't have to search long for someone he'd met before, rather recently in fact! It was the short haired, slaver woman that never introduced herself during that dreadfully short conversation. However, Zadi knew he could trust her for the authorities within Heliohapt never came knocking on Zadi's metaphorical door, at least not up to this point in time. Zadi made his way over to the woman and re-introduced himself with as positive of a tone as possible without being seemingly mad or hostile.

"Hey there geeeewrl! What's up? Remember me? Zadi? Hahaha! It's alright if you don't. I was a bit scary back at the tavern. I'm usually not that scary and rude. If you don't mind my asking, you here for the dungeon, too?"

OOC: Yeah, going with Chimera.

Chinera had finally managed to see a familar face. She was happy but also a little terrified, she had decided to go about around him. The brunette in hiding had gotten a glinpse of the sort of people who might be coming to the dungeon, people who are capable of mass destruction. It was rather intimidating knowing that such people were here and it was probably the expected caliber of people to come into the dungeon... if such people could have gone in and not have conquered it, perhaps her chances were slimmer than she had initially anticipated.

As she meandered around, striking conversation with the simple merchants, hesitant challengers of the dungeon as well as tourists, she managed to get a bit more information out of the people around her. It had seemed that the dungeon had been refusing entry to certain people that left them feeling as failures. As well as that the dungeon was for those who were in tune with natures and its laws.

The best she could decipher from that was that she had to respect nature. Chimera could definitely talk a big game about loving nature, but her true passion for it was actually quite middling, which sparked more doubt in her mind.

Lost in thought, she was spotted by Zadi.... but this time he was a lot less mysterious and creepy, perhaps because he was away from the scene of his crime... he was almost pleasant and friendly. But perhaps he was simply psychotic... she nodded and waved to Zadi giving him a warm welcome. Chimera nodded in agreement to his question. Hearing the keyword 'too' had reaffirmed that he was likely to try to go in as a contender. Fortunately she was safe for the time being since there were so many people around. "Best of luck. May the best king.... or queen, win."

”Is everyone prepared?”

Ayero tugged at her blades in their holster, checking to make sure that the weapons were secure. Her bows and shield were strapped to her back, and her beasts took their regular places. Kabu, the large black desert snake was coiled around the woman’s torso, red eyes peeking out at the world and silently judging. Tomato hovered overhead, the red falcon taking in the sights of a new place with gusto.

”Colonel, ah...should we get something to eat?”

Ayero half turned and arched a brow, noting how the other Fanalis woman held her stomach with one hand. As if on cue, Yael’s stomach gurgled to indicate how hungry she was. The woman in question smiled nervously towards Ayero, hoping that she would not incur the Colonel’s wrath, but also hoping to find some lunch.

”I think that’s a good idea.” Hojo replied smoothly. Ayero shifted her gaze to the dark haired man for a moment before nodding shortly. The scent of hot food and native spices wafted freely along the island, carried on the light wind. The small group found their meal in a native Balbaddian dish of fried chick pea patties wrapped in pita with vegetables and spices. As she ate, Ayero silently eyed their surroundings, taking in any information she could find.

While she had never been to this island, the sheer amount of people in the area surprised her at first. It was different from the Plains she had known, and far different from the outside of Eligos. The lava djinn’s domain had been barren and deadly, with only competitors and guards daring to go near. But here, it was as if a small city had sprung up out of nowhere. Travelers from all over the world had trekked by foot, wagon, beast and carpet to challenge or simply witness the dungeon. For a moment Ayero thought of the eagle feather charm that dangled between her chest and the great power that resided there. Power she had yet to access or understand. It frustrated the Fanalis, but she forced herself to focus on the task at hand.

They had not come to challenge the dungeon, but simply to explore. Ayero was hesitant at first, not exactly willing to go through the trials of Eligos once more. But she recalled that Azix had traversed a handful of dungeons, and how different he said they had been. He had to have had some good experiences, Ayero thought, for him to keep exploring them.

As she bit into her pita, the aromatic scent of coriander and cumin tickled her nostrils. She had forgotten how the savory native spices could enhance a simple meal’s flavor. It was Balbaddan street food, and it paired well with the hustle and bustle of the now busy island. For a moment, a warm feeling of nostalgia flooded her chest.

”Should we get some for the dungeon?” Ayero was pulled from her thoughts at Yael’s question. A thoughtful look came over the Colonel’s face as she tried to remember how she and Azix had dealt with the hunger in Eligos. Did they even feel hunger? She furrowed her brow in thought, wondering how long they had been inside the dungeon for.

Ayero waved her hand in dismissal. ”It would just weight us down. We’ve got enough dried meat to sustain us.” The group had been well prepared for travel, hunting when they needed to and drying and curing meat as Ayero had learned to do in her time in the mountains. From what she guessed, food wouldn’t be their main concern in Buer.

The small group continued their meal, but Ayero was more invested in the crowd than the food. With more dungeons rising, more competitors appeared. Specifically, Ayero was searching for those she knew among the crowd.

OOC: Going with MerMer~

Zadi was happy to know that he'd found someone to attempt to tag along with. No air-quotes this time; Zadi had second thoughts about directly contending for the dungeon when he realized how silly it was of him to try and gain more power. Sure there came another djinn under his belt, but did that really mean he was more powerful? Zadi already has a handful of magics at his disposal but he is unable to use any of said magics when fully powered up with the power of Vassago. Not that he'd ever tried to use his other skills through the form of Vassago, rather that he had a 'gut feeling' to put it in layman's terms. Feeling is always difficult to convey into words. There have been plenty of times when Zadi didn't speech and just let his body language do the talking. Therefore, Zadi knew adding another djinn under his belt would not necessarily help him, for the time being at least. Versatility is one thing but practicality is another.

"Hahaha! Don't worry about me trying to gain more power. I've got plenty of it, as you already know, knudge knudge, wink wink, hint hint. Hahaha!"

The woman's continued uneasiness around Zadi meant that she either feared Zadi over his supposed 'power' or that all his laughter and sounded-out sound effects indicated Zadi's psychosis. Again, Zadi came to another conclusion and decided to act a little more civilized, "Hm hm hm. Yeah, funny stuff. Anyway, mind if I tag along with you? May be too dangerous to go in alone, even for someone as destructive as myself. Whatdoya say?"

Zadi stuck out his right hand in an attempt to get a shaking hand in return from the woman who had not yet given her name. However, Zadi didn't mind. What are names but simple identifiers given to us at birth? You could just as easily name yourself at any given point in time, too.

Chimera was almost dumbfounded.... that someone as powerful as Zadi had wanted to team up with her. However, if someone as powerful as Zadi wanted to compete and be on her side even if it lead to a betrayal or anything of the like, she had little choice but to accept the offer. Even the experience would be a huge boon for her repetoire.

Her hand extended to Zadi's finally feeling somewhat more comfortable with the situation. At least there was a pretense of an alliance and he didnt even need that so they were likely to work together thoughout the dungeon. "Well, whatever happens. Lets conquer this thing." Til this point she had been hesitant to give her name.... but now she felt she could at least trust him a little bit. "You can call me Chimera." Then she added in a whisper, "I'll keep your pyramid a secret, if you keep my slaves a secret. What happens in Helio, stays in Helio" She followed with a wink.

(Yay. We are finally in actual agreement.)

The power flowing from the dungeon's gate seemed to gently encourage those present to try their hand at it's trials. Those who had been there for some time shivered, ever so slightly, as if a cold hand had caressed them. The merchants stole quick glances towards the entrance, and the guards looked towards it as well;

Something was happening.

A pair of men appeared in a flash of light, stumbling forward. One of them was missing an arm, crying. "They're... gone..." The other was staring blankly into the distance, as if his very soul had lost the will to move forward. "A... trap..." As if his mind was being cleared of unpleasant memories, his eyes slowly regained their light. Instead, he furrowed his brow and looked to his companion. Though missing an arm, it did not seem to be bleeding.

A mercenary approached the two, who had caused a ruckus. "Your group... You had several others who were working alongside you. They seemed capable in combat. Do you recall anything?" The mercenary asked the questions with no expectation of answers; it was common knowledge among all those present, including the merchants, that those who came from the dungeon did not have much memory of the place.

Hanging his head, the man shook it. "All I can remember... Is her disappointment... And our failure." Pushing the soldier away, the man took his companion and guided him to the Balbadd food stalls. They seemed famished.

The soldier turned to those present. "Their group of eight seemed to be all that was allowed to go in at once. It seems they failed. If anyone else is here to challenge the dungeon, they are free to enter. From what we know, the dungeon's power will be bestowed upon those who value who can live as one with the land. Keep this in mind, and remember that a portion of your findings will be taxed by the country of Balbadd, so please make sure to fill that out when you exit."

OOC:

Chimera and Zadi may enter whenever they want.
Ayero and Merrze may enter when it has been 24 hours since Ayero's post.

The woman named Chimera and the man named Zadi came to an agreement; the two would go into a dungeon together in order to gain wealth and power! Unfortunately, this dungeon may prove to be too difficult for even Zadi to compete against. The sheer magnitude of disappointment flowed through the air around the market place when a couple of brave souls left the dungeon. To Zadi this meant a few things; only a certain amount of people may enter, as the man announcing had just spoken, the dungeon is dangerous and seemingly more deadly, and finally that the djinn that ruled over the dungeon was 'picky' about those that entered...and left.

"One with the land, eh? I'm more a man of the sea, shame. However, what's to stop the two of us from trying? Let's go!"

With that bout of self-bestowed confidence, Zadi made his way back towards the entrance of the dungeon, hopefully with Chimera in tow. Waiting for Chimera with a hand ready to touch the gate, Zadi attempted to add one last boost to moral for Chimera's sake;

"If push comes to try and shove us to our deaths, I'll make sure to shove back. You can count on me, partner."

With a wink and a pat on the back, Zadi touched the gate and entered yet another dungeon filled with horrors, nightmares, and rainbows that happily danced around everyone's heads. Oh, and death. Mustn't forget the big D.

Chimera was quick to follow along, as she tried to handle her map around, but it seemed as if Zadi was pretty comfortable navigating to the gate, and she just followed along and left her guide behind since he seemed to be in a rush to get there.

The brunette was slightly hesitant with Zadi's comment, however, she was keen on keeping her mindset focused on respecting the land around her, hoping that her honest respect of nature would prevent her from being rejected from the get go. While she saw Zadi touch the gate, it was evident that he had done this before... but she did her best to pretend that she wasn't a complete amateur. Chimera laid her hand in Zadi's... and with a deep breathe, "Hey, remember we've got to respect this place. I think that's gonna be important." With her final piece of advice, she touched the gate, bracing herself for the adventure of her life.

All she felt were gazes, of course, most people would be surprised to see someone riding in on a monstrous canine creature of some sort. She had ventured here all on her own to tackle a dungeon once more, she had failed the last one she had gone into because she was not strong enough, she was frustrated afterwards but now that some time had passed she had come to think that it was better that Ayero had won, she was more deserving of Eligos hence why she got him. Now was not the time to dwell on the past, though, she was here to acquire this Djinn and prove her worth as a leader.

Before she would decide to venture she hopped off of Fluffy and patted him on the snout. She decided it would be best for her to get some food, she had some preserved foods in the pouch she kept at her side but she wanted to some fresh food before she would venture, she'd also like to check out some of the shops in the area while she was at it. The white haired girl looked at the various food stands and shops, her face glowing with happiness and grand feelings of nostalgia. The various Balbaddian shops and such made her happy as she had missed her homelands. The warrior had troubling times there as a child but it was her home nonetheless and she still missed it dearly at times. She bought a kebab which was rich in flavor causing her smile to seem even brighter, memories of when she was little and when her mother had enough money she would get to have one, the spices covered her tongue.

As much as the lioness wanted to enjoy her time she soon finished her food and guessed it would be good to start moving on soon, she felt a bit concerned that she did not have a partner to help her venture through, of course she had not ventured through it yet but she couldn't help but wonder if it would be as difficult as when she had gone through Eligos with Lagi, nay that didn't matter right now, she would be able to make it through the dungeon she was sure, she had learned from her past experience, though it would've been comforting to the girl if she had someone to assist her on the chance that she would slip up.

She patted her pet on the snout to signify that it would be time to go very soon, as they would walk she saw a face that was strangely familiar and she noticed it was her fellow Colonel from the fanalis corps, as she noticed her the girl and the creature walked over there to greet her.

"Aye, it's good to see you again, how have things been since Eligos?"

She approached with a warm smile and was intent to listen but as she would wait to hear what she would say she also heard speaking from other people which somewhat took her attention. As they announced they would be ready for more people to go in and tackle the challenge she knew that she would have to hurry up and find her way into the dungeon, would she have to fight Aye for this Djinn too, what other type of people might the girl have to face she wondered.

Something that also took her attention was it sounded like the Djinn wanted someone who could live as one who could live one with the land, Merrze loved nature but would she prove worthy, neigh she had to prove herself worthy and acquire this Djinn.

OOC: As Aye stated early we will be working together as the mighty fanasquad.

Ayero’s crimson gaze caught sight of Fluffy first, the large beast towering above most heads in the crowd. It did not take long for her eyes to linger away from the creature, searching for its white haired owner. The Fanalis Colonel rose as she did so, her eyes finally resting on Merrze as the other woman approached.

The conversation from Ayero’s companions died out shortly, three pairs of eyes turning towards the approaching newcomer and her strange beast. Inwardly, Ayero felt her heart begin to thump heavier in her chest. She hadn’t spoken to Merrze since the trials of Eligos, and was unsure of where they stood with each other—thankfully, the other Fanalis seemed as warm and open as ever. Unlike Ayero, Merrze didn’t tend to hide behind a mask and seemed to deal with her feeling head on, rather than let them stew inside. She appreciated this, as well as the other woman’s understanding nature.

After a brief moment to look Merrze over, Ayero returned her smile with a smaller, albeit friendly one. When she remembered that they were not alone, the smile vanished from her face, but the warmth still reflected in her eyes.

”Good to see you as well, Merrze. You’re looking well. Things have been going decently.” Shifting her gaze to the side, Ayero half-turns and gestures toward the small group. ”These is Lieutenant Hojo and Captain Balsa of Kou, and Yael of the Fanalis Corps. Everyone, this is Merrze. She’s a Colonel in the Fanalis Corp and a friend of mine.” Ayero wasn’t sure if Merrze knew Yael personally, but the other female Fanalis in question seemed to recognize Merrze with the incredulous look on her face. Ayero cleared her throat, and Yael snapped out of it before giving Merrze a Fanalis Corps salute. Hojo and Balsa both offered traditional Kou gestures in greeting before Ayero continued.

Turning back to Merrze, Ayero crossed her arms comfortably under her chest. ”We’re heading into the dungeon for investigation. Would I be wrong to assume that you’re here to seek the power of the Djinn?” Ayero’s tone was light and curious rather than suspicious and questioning; she was glad to see Merrze here, confident and ready after the events of Eligos.

Ayero peered around Merrze for a moment, wondering if she had come along with a partner or two in tow. ”Would you like to come with us? I understand if you have a companion, or would rather explore alone.” Regardless of what Merrze’s response would be, Ayero would not be bothered.

Once again, Ayero found herself at the gate of a dungeon. I didn’t think I’d do this again. Not so soon. Still, the red headed woman didn’t stop herself as she reached out and touched the portal, the familiar yet unsettling sensation of teleportation enveloping her…

She gave a polite wave to the people that had been introduced to her. She tried to give off a friendly vibe, normally she would try to be stern and seem like an authority figure but since she had been of leave for a while she had no reason to act like when she was on duty. She had a warm look on her face that gave off friendliness but if one were to notice she also had an air of confidence, she was ready for this dungeon, the white haired girl was prepared for whatever would be thrown her way while she was there, hopefully, no deathmatches like the last one.

"Well I came here to acquire the power for this Djinn, but unlike last time I'm going to get this one. I know that might sound cocky, but I am adamant on acquiring its power."

The offer of tagging along with them was promising, she seemed to be here for reasons other than the Djinn so it would probably work out. She would've been okay going alone, but the idea of going along with her sounded more promising since it would give them more time to discuss things and catch up.

"Sure I'd be more than happy to go along with you guys, I don't have any companions besides Fluffy here of course, plus I think we'd both be beneficial to one another."

She walked up to the dungeon and felt the strong aura coming from the gate, She placed her hands on it and felt familiar like from when she went to Eligos. She was prepared to see what would be on the other side of the gate, the warrior was ready for adventure.

Hohotaro was nervous as he was being ferried to the place where the gate of the dungeon is. He is infected by the nerves of the other passengers that are with him. Most of them have dark eyes seemingly prepared to die just in order to accomplish what they came here for.

The ferryman smiles as he gestures towards the shore of the island. "Alright we're here everybody off. Don't forget to check your belongings and enjoy your stay at the Bauer Gate."

Hohotaro hopped off the ferry and what he saw was the exact opposite of his expectation. What he see just by the edge of the forest is a expansive bustling marketplace. Hohotaro was surprised it's even bigger than the market they have at the tribe. It's even as if there is a festival happening with all the people there and all the food stalls.

Hohotaro excitedly looked around the marketplace but he suddenly felt fatigued for all the travelling he did. He asked around and found an inn. He went inside and decided to take a short rest and eat his fill before exploring the marketplace more.

OOC:
Hohotaro is stupid and kinda arrogant. He needs to be thought a hard lesson for plot progression. He'll go inside the dungeon solo. XD

Solomon viewed the other passengers of the ferry and Hohotaro and could see their seriousness about them as they arrived closer to their desired location. On the other hand Solomon was quite excited and had a large smile about him as he would get the view the new sights the dungeon had to offer them, weather it be the scenery of the land of nature or the mystical beasts in which he wished to acquire, just like Haku and Lance had who he had met previously in Reim. The beast mount in particular that Lance rode upon fascinated Solomon to no end, on what other creatures could these dungeons make appear.

He snapped out of his thoughts as the ferry man notified them of their arrival, Solomon would then immediately follow up next to Hohotaro as he was the one who invited him along as Solomon had no idea in which he was doing afterwards. Solomon became quite disappointed to see that there was a market and a vast amount as he did wish to see the beauty of the forest first thing but he would make do as he would then follow Hohotaro to a nearby inn and eat along side him and discuss what they would do in the dungeon or who would have what.

Hohotaro finished up his meal and stood up. "So... this is what we'll do." Hohotaro scratches his head as he talks. "I'll go around the bazaar and get provisions. You can uh... do whatever! Let us meet up by the Dungeon gate before sundown." Hohotaro bolts out of the inn "See ya later Mon!"

Hohotaro is thoroughly enjoying the Bazaar. First he bought a big bag to store his stuff in then lot of water and put it in his new bag. Second he bought a lot of dried foods thinking that he can bring it home so Kirara could also have some. He then proceeds to buy a shirt and a set of bracers. After more walking around and taking in the everything and again eating on the different stalls time passed and suddenly it's sundown.

Hohotaro was late going to the Gate and Solomon is already there waiting. "Are you ready? Let's do this!" Without stopping Hohotaro passed by Solomon and touches the gate.

Solomon shrugged off being ignored as he was overly excited himself to see what the area and the dungeon in the near future would look like. "I could help wi.." Solomon attempted to offer to help with provisions but Hohotaro ran of so quickly he could not. He would shake his head thinking that the "man" may be too young for such a thing, but he would assist him if he could as he was not ready to give up the chance on seeing such wonders.

After Hohotaro left Solomon stood to think for a moment, that he did not really even know which way he was going, but with such a rare occurrence he would easily be able to get directions from some the the local shops if he were to pretend to buy something from them, or he would just use his charm of being a male escort to find the information from one of the women nearby. Solomon eventually ended up reaching the ancient tree, he seemed to beat Hohotaro there even though Solomon was slightly late as well. He was amazed by the appearance of the ancient tree as he would walk up to touch and in wonder why this tree in particular, and how old the tree must be. He would soon after hear Hohotaro nearby who seemed very impatient to enter as he immediately went for the gate not waiting for Solomon, he would again shake his head as he followed shortly behind reaching out as he touched the gate.
