Lya Moln MpIW9qy
Name: Lya
Country Affiliation: Magnostadt
Race: Human [Imuchakk Heritage]
Tier: D
Specialization: Intelligence | Water
Age + Birthdate: Fifteen | December Twenty Second
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Hetero
Personality:
At first glance, Lya appears to be a wide eyed youth, and that would be the correct evaluation of her. When it comes to this girl, what you see is what you get for the most part. Her curiosity knows no bounds as her thirst for knowledge constantly pushes her to explore and study as much as possible. Lyra is always in constant thought and considering things around her. She doesn't so much think about other people or what they're capable more so of how things work and what kinds of magic are at play. When it comes to people themselves, the girl can be somewhat thoughtless towards their feelings.

This is partly because of how sheltered her upbringing was. Lya's family has always been very close and very honest with each other to the point of being extremely blunt. As such, this is how she deals with most people. While the girl doesn't mean to come across as rude, it just happens. Lya is aware of this, and most of the time, she feels terrible upon realizing someone was offended by her words. Despite how her words may make the girl appear, she is a very kind person who often overreacts and worries about things constantly. Lya takes things very personally and doesn't quite understand jokes most of the time. When upset, it's very common to see the girl begin to tear up and weep.

Lya will go to great lengths to help others should she feel they were upset by her. However, most of the time, the girl quite naively believes lies told to take advantage of her. A hard worker at heart, this gullible girl often finds herself doing the work of others as 'penance' for upsetting them. Lya tries to see the best in others- so more often than not, she wont even consider the fact that they might be trying to take advantage of her. While she's fairly studious and intelligent, Lya isn't very smart when it comes to handling people.

Likes:
Lya enjoys reading and learning. More often than not, one can find her studying or listening to stories of others. She also enjoys eating most often. Her passions in life are education and food. Lya adores trying new things and can be easily bribed by food.
Dislikes:
Lya hates quiet. She doesn't like the heavy awkwardness that can fill the air when people stop talking. The girl also dislikes fighting for the most part. She'll try anything before resorting to violence against other people. More often than not, Lyra will but into others' conversations to try and mediate any problems.
Aspirations:
Lya's aspirations are fairly down to earth. She doesn't have any real lofty goals- at least none she actively talks about or aware about. Her most prominent one is a wish to one day teach at the Academy in Magnostadt. She adores learning new things, and one day, the girl hopes to help younger magicians learn about all the stuff she loves doing. On the smaller side of things, Lya hopes to one day become a mother. However, she doesn't want to do this until the far future. Another smaller goal is more of a life motto- which is to live a peaceful life with no enemies. She doesn't like violence or anything disrupting her life. One could suppose that her biggest goal of all is to simply live a comfortable life. However, underneath this seemingly down to earth girl, there is a strange yearning for adventure she herself isn't aware yet. An odd restlessness constantly fills her. She usually distracts herself from it by forcing her nose into a book however.
Phobias/fears:
Lya hates creepy things. Creepy things can be anything from bugs to deep sea fishes. As a child, her grandfather left a book out of stuff like this and it's caused a phobia of anything bug eyed, insect like or scaly. Another fear is one of drowning. Despite being a water mage and of Imuchakk heritage, she cannot swim. As a child, she nearly drowned and as such, large bodies of water such as ponds, lakes or rivers often cause her to tremble with fear. Leaving Magnostadt also makes her extremely anxious as she nearly drowned when outside of the country. Tied into this, Lya is afraid of people who cannot preform magic, seeing them as something other than human.

Face-Claim: Lelei La Lelena [Gate - Thus the JSDF Fought There!]
Hair Color: Light Blue
Eye Color: Aqua
Height: 145cm [4'10”ft]
Weight: 36kg [79lbs]
Appearance:
Lya stands at the might height of one hundred and forty five centimeters. Yeah, fear the giant girl. Lya is basically a small pixie of a girl with a lithe and slender body. She looks like someone could easily snap her in half just by breathing on her funny. Her skin is a soft light color, indicating that she clearly spends more time in the library than outside. Lya's hair and eyes are both a light icy blue. Her eyes are a somewhat richer shade, verging on aqua. The hair is cut into a somewhat messy bob that stops just below her chin. She has messy bangs that brush against the top of her eyes as well. The majority of the time, Lya carries herself with soft ambiguous postures. She's never full on slouching or standing at a proper position. Her robes are all cool winter colors that match her hair, and she seems to be wearing hand me downs constantly as the robes all fit her somewhat large- making her already tiny body look even smaller.

Rukh Alignment: White
Special Traits: N/A
History:
Lya was born in Magnostadt. Her mother was the daughter of an Imuchakkan and a human magician, and her father was a normal human magician. Her mother's parents met when her grandmother came to Magnostadt to study magic as, at the time, the Imuchakk tribes weren't friendly towards those who could use magic, in fact, sometimes they were down right violent. This was also around the time the country was founded, making Lya's family one of the oldest in the country and fairly well respected. As such, her mother and father both hold various high ranking positions within the country. In fact, now that the Chancellor's heir has vanished, the two of them are being considered for the role of his heir.

They raised Lya with firm but gentle hands. The girl was never abused or yelled at, nor was she ever put through anything too traumatic by them. In fact, the two of them probably spoiled the girl too much. They gave her anything she wanted and were very frank and honest with her. Lya lived a relatively charmed life in a loving family. In fact, her parents even took her on a trip with them once to the outside of Magnostadt.

When Lya was eight, her parents were leaving the country to go recruit magicians to come join the academy. It was a job they begrudgingly took as neither of them had ever really left Magnostadt except for a couple of times before. They decided to take Lya with them as the girl herself had never left the country either. At first, the girl was excited as could be. She couldn't wait to see all the new sights and learn new things. However, upon arriving at the port town to take them across the sea to their destination, Lya got separated from her parents in a crowd. She wandered the streets for several hours until some nice older people found her. Unknown to her, they were slave traders who were able to discern her 'exotic' heritage. When they tried to drag the girl off, she rebelled by using the one spell she knew- a simple water freezing one.

This only made things worse as the girl suddenly became much more valuable to the men. They'd try to take the girl to the docks and force her onto a boat. However, in the struggle, Lya fell into the water and found herself sinking. Her parents had heard the commotion and came to find the men fleeing the scene and people pointing at the water. Lya's mother managed to rescue the girl before she sank too deep, but the terrifying memory of nearly being sold by mundane humans and almost drowning were etched deeply into the girl.

After that, the family never left Magnostadt again. Lya's family has politely declined any requests to go outside of the wall of the city. With the attack from the Kou Empire, they have grown even more untrusting of those who cannot wield magic.

Role-Play Sample:
A yawn escaped into the air as Lya raised her head. She was leaning over a desk. Her arms had become folded over what appeared to be a book on said desk as she sat there. The somewhat frayed tuffs of hair that now stood up in odd places around her head seemed to hint that the girl had fallen asleep while reading. Lya rubbed her eyes as she looked up to the grandfather clock on the other side of the table. Upon seeing the time, both her aqua eyes widened in panic. She'd quickly stand- practically leaping out of her seat. The chair Lya had been sitting in fell onto it's side from how quickly she stood. Scooping up the book, she continued on her way without even picking up the chair. The girl was clearly in a hurry.

Before running out of the room, Lya stopped in the doorway and looked at the clock again before biting down on her lower lip. How could she sleep in today!? It was her first day at the academy! How could she be so dumb!? Shaking her head, she'd turn and run down the hall.
