After her job at the Academy, Lestacia, had decided to take on another. This one however was from a complete and total stanger. This man however had lost something of value to a carpet...yes people...a carpet of all things. Lestacia sighed heavily this must have been one tough carpet for it to have messed this guy up that badly. After all the information she had attained about the carpet, it seemed as if a lot of other people had seen this Carpet as well. Lestacia did a bit more investigating and had found out that the Carpet retreated some place in the plains and liked to rob mysterious hooded figures in the dead of night who tended to be alone. That was exactly how Lestacia would capture or destroy this flying carpet and return the man's belongings. What the carpet was doing, and the magical object had to be punished for it's transgressions against the good people of this town. With a plan of action now. Lestacia headed off into the streets of magnostadt with a cloak and her trusty staff. She borrowed a piece of jewelry that had belonged to her grandfather. A golden ring with an amethyst gem in the middle. It was her grandmothers wedding ring. It looked valuable, but such an object was priceless to her grandfather which is why she decided to take it without asking. The girl made sure the cloak had shown the ring that had been wrapped around her dainty finger. It was in the afternoon however and the girl felt as if she were being watched. She looked over her shoulder once, twice, three times but...no one was following her. The girl walked the entire city twice before it had gotten dark out. Lestacia decided to go out to where the man initially was robbed.
Lestacia walked onto the plains during this night. The nightime air was clean and crisp. The stars were beautiful in the sky as a black wavy rectangle moved about...wait...wavy rectangle? Taking a closer look Lestacia could see a flying carpet unmanned. It swooped down but luckily, Lestacia was able to dodge. However the girl had lost her ring. "Grandpa's going to kill me if I don't get grandma's ring back!" With those words Lestacia withdrew her staff. "Alright, show time. Let's do this and get all of the stuff this thing took back to their rightful owners. Curareis!" She pointed her staff to the carpet desperately trying to fly away but the paralyzing vine caught it. The poor thing spiraled out of control and landed onto the grass a farther ways away. Lestacia ran after the carpet as fast as she could before it got into the sky. She Hopped on top of it in a last diitch effort and before she knew it, she was in the air. "Woah!" she was losing her balance. Lestacia had never ridden a flying carpet before. She needed to find some way to destroy the damned thing. As the carpet lowered it's altitude closer to the ground, Lestacia jumped off and skidded to a stop. Stabbing her Staff immediately into the ground she shouted. "Sapreisa!" then pointed at the Carpet as the carnivorous flower sprouted. "Aaaaaaaannnnnnnd.." She made a gun with her hands and pulled it back as the carnivorus flower shot the carpet out the sky, shredding the thing in two. "Sniped!" From the sky she could see two items fall, one was the mysterious stranger's, the other was her grandfather's ring. She retrieved them both and by the next morning returned the items to their owners to get paid.
"This necklace better have been worth my time."
