Job Name: Assistant Librarian Needed
Job Rank: D
Job Location: Magnostadt
Job Rewards: 50xp / 3,000 Huang
Job Overview:
The magical school that helps bring so much joy to our country is short handed this week of librarians. They need a person to come in and help sort through some books and scrolls and put them back in their proper locations. Just show up to the library and help go through the giant mounds of backlogged books and scrolls and find their proper homes. The library is the largest in the world and is up to 30 stories tall making it a pretty long task to do.

"Ahem...AHEM!" Asha awoke suddenly to a very disgruntled student standing above her. She wiped away drool from her mouth and rubbed her eyes quickly in hopes she could talk her way out of this in case it was her boss only to see it was just a student being so impatient about finding a book.

"Hi, hi! Sorry, sorry! I, uh, don't get much sleep these days what with the marathon running and brutal torture that is strenuous, non-stop, muscle cramping how can I help you?" Asha explained, standing up and stretching as much as possible to unhinge her limbs and hopefully wake her up a bit.

"Yes. Good for you. I need help finding this book--Clairvoyance Magic and its Quirks by Klaus Oppenheimer. Do you know if it's in stock?" The student ordered. Asha almost literally vomited from how snooty this guy was, but instead, she took a nice gulp of air down and glanced down at the records to see if it was taken out. As Asha's eyes scanned the page, she could find no record of the book ever being removed from the section of the library she was tasked with monitoring.

"Doesn't seem like your book's been borrowed, bud. Here, I'll help you look for it!" Asha offered, smiling ever so subtly at the wordplay she used just then. Recently, it was the simple pleasures like making four words in a row start with the same letter, or thinking of silly scenarios in her head that made her laugh, and just about keep her sane. 3rd Kodor training was absolutely terrible--she's climbed so many stairs in just the last few days that her legs immediately cramped up when tasked with walking up them, and any time she had to move faster than a snail's pace just made her want to drop to the ground, cry, and roll around until someone felt she was so pathetic that they carry her to her room. It was then where she started to daydream and fantasize about a nice, young teacher instantly offering her top marks and moving her on up out of the bowels of Magnostadt, if only out of pity. She arrived at the section where Oppenheimer's fantastic dissertation on the art of clairvoyance magic resided, and proceeded to climb up the ladder to fetch the book wherever it was on the bookcase.

"Ahh, ahah! Here it is! Clairvoyance Magic and its Quirks. What a masterpiece!" Asha exclaimed, climbing down the ladder and handing it to the student, "Give me your lunch money." Unfortunately for Asha, the joke did not go over so well with the student, and his reaction was to scoff, call Asha a pedestrian nincompoop, and walk away so haughtily that she felt she was told off by Lord Fancypants of the Fancypants Empire. Regardless, Asha moseyed back to her post, her legs quivering and full of pain as she struggled just to stay awake for the remainder of her shift.

Hours passed and so few people even entered the library in general that Asha once again fell asleep, the smell of books and the calm air of the library ever so skillfully putting her to sleep as the soothing sounds of boredom and silence lulled her into a deep slum--

"WAKE. UP. WAKE UP. WAKE. UP. ASHA SAMARA. WAKE UP!" With no time to fully adjust to the situation, Asha sprung from her chair and leaped behind the table and ran to the nearest bookcase to hide. The head librarian had found her, fully asleep and completely neglecting her job, and was out for blood. She could feel the goosebumps on her skin without touching them, and could sense the air around her thicken so much she could literally smell the danger.

"I am so sorry professor! I was so tired from class and I really tried I really did! I stayed up as long as I could but on this 3rd Kodor class schedule you know it's so hard to evenokayI'llstopspeakingnow," The excuses poured out of Asha's mouth like a waterfall. As she was explaining herself, and mumbling, the head librarian just sighed, shook his head, and placed his hand gently on Asha's shoulder.

"Dear...your shift is over. Just...just go to bed," He said, putting all of Asha's fears at ease. With no words, all she could do was hug the librarian, much to his surprise, and sprint, then subsequently hobble, back to her room and jump (plop*) onto her bed and get as best a good night's sleep as possible.
