There was something about having a family that Seti envied - Having been raised from birth as a slave, he was not only never allowed to meet his mother but he was never told whether he had siblings or not. He had always acted as if he hadn't, as he had never seen the woman who gave birth to him as his mother and thus anyone who came from her would not have been a sibling, but it was still something that he envied.

Now that he was able to cross the world at his master's whim, he had a lot more time to think about his situation, a "perk" that he had never had during his studies at Magnostadt. It was because of this additional time to deal with the insanity of his situation that he had been feeling more and more lonely as of late. Thus, he was spending a little bit more time at the pub than he probably should.

However, as he had left Mantua behind, knowing that there was a high chance that his crimes would be found out, even after all that he had done to attempt to cover them up, he could no longer go to the same bar as the last time. Instead, he found himself in a small inn called "the sudden drop" in another port down just slightly further down the coat.

The inn itself was wonderful - He wasn't sure how old it was, but the staff appeared to keep it in wonderful shape. The tables and floor were both made of the same rich wood, it had a great view of the nearby port, and there were none of the same bad smells that usually came from a place filled with tonnes of different people. The only real smell was that of the other patrons smoking, and he had dealt with the bad smell of tobacco plenty in Magnostadt for it not to bother him any more.

Sitting in a booth near the back of the smoke-filled room, Seti allowed himself to settle in. The seat itself was remarkably comfortable, and with the window being open to the summer air he was able to get a fair amount of air that was free from the smoking patrons' air pollution. A large glass of wine in front of him, he could sit here the entire night and not have a single issue.

As he continued to mellow out in the little booth, he began to let his eyes wander around the room. There was a game that he used to play whenever he was in large areas like this - He would look at people, and from what they were wearing and how they were acting, make up stories in his head about where they had come from and where they were going to. Normally he would add in a third line about why they were here, but they were in a pub - It was pretty obvious why everyone was here.

Taking a mouthful of his wine, he focused in on a woman in the corner. She looked a little depressed, and was staring into the wine. If he were to guess, she was around 25, so the obvious implication was that she was here to attempt to drown her sorrow about her lover cheating on her? He focused closer, and noticed that she was wearing a ring on her finger - he wasn't a lover, he was her husband. So, infidelity? that was sad, but understandable at the very least.

His eyes scanned the room to find the next target of this. There was a man who had probably just become old enough to drink properly, hanging around with an older man that he was going to assume was his father celebrating his new ability to drink legally. There was an older Fanalis that he was going to assume was here to attempt to relax after a hard day in the corps, and there was a boy who...

... who was following another drunk out of the bar. Seti's eyebrow pricked up with interest. The man in front of him had apparently not noticed him, and the man was attempting to make sure that it remained that way, leading Seti to doubt that they were friends. If they weren't friends, then the fact that he was following him likely meant one thing; he was going to try and mug him.

Downing the glass and putting some coins on his table to pay his tab, he grabbed his staff and began to shuffle around to get out of the booth. It was likely that he was wrong, but he didn't want to let something like this happen without at least trying to stop it. If he was wrong, he was wrong and there would be nothing to be embarrassed about. He was just trying to do his duty as a fellow human being. If he was right, he was going to stop a crime from taking place. He felt comfortable with that wager.

Pulling his cloak's hood up so that it went over his face, Seti slipped into the shadows and began to tail the two men as they went down the street from the bar. It was moments like this that he was thankful for his slight frame, as it meant that he was able to pass without being seen all the easier. The main worry about this was that they might notice the light glinting against the crystal in his staff, but he was willing to bet that they weren't paying enough attention to what was behind them to realize.

After around five minutes, the pair slipped into an alleyway, and Seti decided this was going to be as far as he was going to follow them. A place like this was the perfect place for a mugging, and if they both came out of it without anything happening, he would simply concede that they were more innocent than he had suspected, and he would go back and return to his evening's drinking.

However, it soon proved that his suspicions were correct. Out of the other side of the alleyway, two larger men stepped out of the shadows and circled the man that the first man had been tailing. He couldn't hear from this far back, but he was able to see that they were wielding clubs and what he had to assume was some sort of chain-ball weapon. Well, he was going to put a stop to this before it could start.

---

Moving into the alleyway, he focused his attention on the fat man and the one that was stopping the man from retreating back in the direction of Seti himself. With little more than a few thoughts, a beam of golden light shot out of the scarlet crystal on his staff, slamming through both people and knocking them to the ground in pain. Their skin was cooked like dinner; nothing fatal, but certainly unbearably painful.

"Sorry to interrupt," he called out, his helian accent more than evident. ", but I'm going to have to ask you to surrender or face the same fate as your friends." The drunk man turned and ran towards Seti, hiding behind him as he had apparently decided that he was more trustworthy than the man who was threatening him at knife... hookpoint.

As the man ran towards him, apparently so did the largest of the muggers. Well, if he wasn't going to stand down willingly, he was going to make him stand down by force. As he ran towards the man, Seti's body began to glow as a suit of glowing golden light formed around his flesh, just in time for him to deliver a burning punch to the man's cheek, sending him reeling back.

The punch had connected, you could see the burned flesh on the side of his face as he reeled back ready to launch another attack. However, unfortunately for Seti, the man was a little more skilled at using his weapon than he had expected. Throwing the chain towards him, Seti barely had time to blink before the chain wrapped around his arm and began to constrict like a particularly insistent snake. The pain that filled his arm was ridiculous as he felt it being crushed.

That being said, the man clearly hadn't thought out his plan of attack very well. Grabbing the chain with the hand tied up in it, he simply yanked it forwards, pulling the man off balance. He couldn't use his hand to attack with how little he could move it, but he could do this little. Then, with his other arm, he could end this now.

His right hand shot forwards, dropping the staff and grasping around the man's face. The skin began to crackle and bake underneath the embrace of that vice like grip, as the man screamed in agony. Seti didn't enjoy this, but... ten seconds, twenty seconds, thirty seconds, and the man passed out from the pain.

Taking the moment to dissipate the exoskeleton, he brushed himself down before picking the staff back up and turning to face the drunk man. He seemed fine, if a little shaken. Perhaps apply liberal humor?

"So," he said, smiling gently ", do you wanna call the guards or should I?"
