Ω-Tier
Spoiler:
Enemy Name: Shane
Rank: B
Needed damage to take down: A
Description: Shane is a Reim native that grew up in the northern mountain ranges. He is very friendly and always has a warm smile and word for anyone he comes across. Through a series of events, he one day found himself at the Coliseum and found he had a knack for the sport. After receiving his winnings, Shane found himself hooked, the money and exhilaration of fighting in front of the crowd driving him to sign up time and again.

Abilities:Shane moves at 10m/s base and carries a Frost Bow which deals B-tier damage. Shane also uses magic to infuse his attacks with frost and can fly at 5m/s.

Piercing Ice – Shane shoots off an arrow at 25 m/s towards an opponent within 40 meters of himself. As the arrow nears its target, the tip splits into four ice shards that pierce each of the opponent’s limbs, inflicting B-tier damage and slowing movement speed by 5m/s for three posts.

Frost Explosion – Shane shoots an arrow at 25 m/s to a point within 40 meters of himself. When the arrow strikes either an opponent or the ground, an explosion of ice 15 meters across deals B-tier damage and slows movement speed by 5 m/s for three posts.

Lancing Arrow – Shane shoots an arrow at 30 m/s at an opponent within 50 meters of himself, inflicting A-tier damage.
Stepping into the arena, Ayero feels fully prepared for her tenth battle. She was considered a coliseum regular by now, signing up for regular fights. The crowd seemed to be entertained by her traditionally powerful Fanalis-grade blows and her direct way of fighting, and Ayero was pleased with the amount of coin she had been earning as a result. Drawing her sword as her opponent appears at the other end of the coliseum, Ayero’s eyes are first drawn to the bow in his hand. Raising a brow, she exhales sharply though her nose. She as at a disadvantage against ranged opponents and had to figure out a way to get in close without taking a volley of arrows to the face.

The two were standing roughly 50 meters from each other when the bell sounded and Ayero moved towards her opponent at a decent pace. She kept her sword drawn and raised up to her chest, her eyes wide and trained on the archer who seemed to be watching her with a sharp eye. Once the Fanalis woman had gotten within firing range, Shane unleashed two arrows in practiced succession from his bow. Reacting quickly, Ayero raised her sword to block the incoming arrows, altering the angle of the blade so that it would successfully intercept both projectiles. What caught her off guard was the crunch of ice as the arrowheads smashed against her blade, bit of frost exploding from behind the weapon. Ice? That bow must be magical in nature.

The impact of the two arrows did little to slow the Fanalis down, and she was not surprised that Shane swiftly nocked another arrow and fired a Piercing Arrow towards her as she began to close the gap between them. Anticipating this move, Ayero dug her feet into the ground and performed a Great Leap the moment Shane let the arrow loose. She knew that the move was risky, but outside of using her magoi manipulation technique to enhance her speed, Ayero had little chance to defeat Shane lest she figure out some way to slow him down from a distance. Taking damage was worth that risk to her.

As the Fanalis woman sailed through the air, Shane reached into his quiver and picked out a special arrow, recognizing it from touch and position alone rather than taking his eyes off of his opponent. Quick as lightning, Shane let his Piercing Ice arrow fly at the approaching Fanalis. To Ayero’s surprise, the arrow itself did not strike her, but split into four shards of ice which dug into the skin of her arms and legs. Unable to keep back a cry of pain from the impact, Ayero remembered to position her feet accordingly and let her natural fall produce a Fissure as she landed. The force of the landing sent the two shards of ice already embedded into her legs piercing deeper, causing Ayero to grit her teeth in pain. She barely noticed Kabu slithering down her body to spit some of his saliva onto her wounds of her legs, the Numbing effect gradually taking away the pain but not helping her mobility issues.

Looking up to gain a handle on her opponent’s condition, Ayero is pleased to see Shane’s frustration and surprise at having his legs immobilized by the very earth beneath him. Knowing that this would not be enough to neutralized the archer, Ayero glances toward Kabu as an idea makes its way into her mind. She pats the snake on the head and Kabu lets out a hiss, spitting a Poison Shot towards the archer. At the same time, Shake released a Frost Explosion arrow from his bow. Not wanting to see what this arrow did, Ayero quickly slammed her foot into the ground, a large slab of earth rising up. The Land’s Armor clashes with Shane’s arrow, a multitude of tiny explosions sounding off from behind the earthen wall. Kabu’s poison hits its target and Shane winces as the snake’s ichor sinks into his skin, causing him pain and reducing his movement. Scaling the wall, Ayero leaps down from atop it to slam her foot into the ground once more, this time using Magnitude to further disturb the earth around her and Shane. The already rough rocks begin to shift and shake, causing severe damage to Shane’s legs.

The trembling of the ground sent the young man off balance, wobbling and waving his arms to keep from falling over. This gives Ayero time to move in, but Shane quickly recovers and fires two arrows in rapid succession. Ayero deflects one with her blade, but the other finds its way into her shoulder just as she moves within striking range of the archer. Crying out in pain, Ayero drops her sword and clutches her injured arm, still insisting on moving forward despite her injures. Even though she had been slowed and wounded, the Fanalis pressed onward in refusal to accept defeat after having gotten this far. As her sword falls from her grasp, Kabu glides quickly from her shoulder, winding his way along Shane’s bow arm using Struggle. The archer was taken by surprise, his momentary hesitation allowing the snake to wrap his body tightly around both his arms and torso. Silently thanking Kabu for the aid, Ayero thows a punch at the young man, her fist landing squarely in Shane’s stomach, just below Kabu’s body. The force of the blow sends the young archer backwards, breaking his immobilization from the ground.

After the final blow had been delivered, Ayero collapsed to the ground, exhausted and injured but victorious.
