Altair entered the Coliseum waiting room to await his upcoming match. He hadn't heard much about his opponent. He knew she was a life mage, and he knew that she had never lost to someone using anything other than magic. The last thing, Altair knew that this made her very confident in her own ability. He wondered if he would be able to use that to his advantage. It certainly helped in his battle against the "Red Snow Murderer" as he had come to be known later, back in Imuchakk. The man thought his strength made him invincible, which was exactly his downfall.

The signal was given, and Altair entered the Coliseum arena. Once there, he would put himself in a position about twenty meters from his opponent, and then stop. He would draw his sword, leaving his staff on his back, concealed by his cape. giving it a lazy twirl, he called out to his opponent, "Wonderful day for a match isn't it? Let's try not to completely murder each other yeah? Though, i bet they'd like that." He said, jerking a thumb towards the crowd who responded with cheers. Playful banter aside, Altair had a very specific plan of attack ready. The bell rang, and Altair charged. Using Gale Stepping, Altair covered half the distance in less than a second before jumping high into the air with Phoenix Blade. He would land facing her from behind as his blade came down, only charging with Magoi as his feet touched the ground. Immediately after the slash, he would travel around her twice in tight quarter still at twenty meters per second before making another Cut diagonally up and to the left.

Lital Siskind:

Lital came into the arena, her appearance cocky and a smirk painted across her face. Behind this mask, however, was a calculating mind and a cautious magician. Contrary to what most would believe, she knew her victories thus far had only been due to lack of decent competition. She was not expecting this opponent to be as simple as her previous foes, he already had a reputation in this arena. When she stepped on to the field, she rolled her eyes at Altair’s banter, unwilling to respond to his juvenile behavior. As he spoke, her wand was already in her hand and when the bell rang, she immediately began casting. As soon as Altair took to the air, she cast Dome of Life to interrupt the leap midair, knowing it would not stop his attack completely. By the time he was about to land, she was already in the air, five meters up and back. As Altair was about to land, she cast Vine Trap followed by Bee’s Nest, trapping him and obscuring his vision. While his vision was obscured, she would summon Vicious Trees around the vine trap. When his Cut sliced through the Vine Trap, the Vicious Trees would immediately move forward to attack from under the cloud of bees.

She flew back after casting, staying only close enough to keep her Vicious Trees in range, eager to see how he dealt with her flood of spells.

Altair busted right through his opponent's Dome of Life even as it formed around him at his highest point, using only his own momentum to break the cage.  On his way back down, he noticed that Lital had moved, flying just five meters up and back from his landing point.  He figured he could jump off the ground to get to her, but he touched at his staff just in case.  He felt like something was wrong that she wouldn't retaliate, and simply moved away.  Sure enough, vines sprouted rapidly just as he was about to touch the ground.  flipping onto his back, delaying his fall by just the fraction of a second he needed, he grabbed his staff and cast his Gravity Lift spell and stopped, before shooting up towards Lital.  But she had already taken measures to prevent him from seeing.  At the moment he was flipping on his back she was casting another spell, her Bee's Nest that would prevent all sight within five meters, centered on Altair.  But honestly, this was probably her mistake.  Now, unless she moved, she would be in the perfect position for Altair's strike, being unable to see a counter-attack coming.  It formed swiftly, finishing before Altair caught air.  In fact, she was so quick, she would be in the middle of casting her spell Vicious Trees right as Altair would break through the edge of the bees, using Slay the Dragon at point blank range.

When she saw Altair take to the air with a ridiculously slow flight spell, Lital changed her tactics. She would instead sustain her Bee’s Nest to move with the man, as he would not be tethered by her vines and forgo her Vicious Trees. When he went to cast his Slay the Dragon, the bees would move with him, clashing against the ability and giving her time to fly to his back as she sustained her Dome of Life to reform around him to absorb the rest of the attack. By the time the Bee’s Nest and Dome of Life were destroyed, she would be at his back calling upon her Whipping Branch and lashing out at him to inflict B-tier damage before flying back 30 meters. She would be forced to land soon, but that was okay.

Altair noticed that even as he flew, the bees would not leave. "They must be following me. Just like my locusts." Altair stopped in midair, ceasing his attack, saving it for a better time. Their constant buzzing around made it impossible to see, but unlike his locusts he could still hear what was happening out side of the swarm. "cracking and growing. She's casting again. Alright Let's change tactics." Choosing instead to stay inside the swarm, Altair drew his staff. As much as it made him want to turn and run, he would be relatively safe within the swarm as long as he stayed high off the ground. Altair rose to be 10 meters above the ground, and just waited.

Litel hummed when no attack came from the Bee’s Nest, making her plan to use Dome of Life again pointless, as well as negating her need to cast Whipping Branch. After flying behind him, she would settle to the ground, staying back 20 meters. Her opponent was smart with his use of his abilities, and she commended that. She was used to the brash, rash actions of most gladiators, but this man seemed to have an almost inhuman ability to predict and react to her spells.

To ensure he could not escape the Bee’s Nest without her noticing, she cast Seek on him. The orb of magoi would follow him if he attempted to escape. For now, it was just a matter of biding her time, and it seemed he had come to the same conclusion as he sat in the buzzing nest of bees. The crowd was booing, upset at the lack of bloodshed or true interaction.

When it was clear that no more attacks were coming, Altair smiled.  it worked.  Now he would be able to start the battle new, on his terms again.  he lowered himself to the ground, ending the Gravity Lift spell.  The bees still buzzed around him, making it impossible to know where the enemy was.  If he had to guess, she'd be somewhere behind him, that's where they always go.  But in order to be sure, he was going to bring back a little friend.  "Caesin!"  From outside the cluster of bees, the tree serpent formed, before giving a roar of approval.  "Attack!"  The dragon roared again, before charging over to where his prey waited.  Hearing the direction the dragon went, Altair ran seven meters, casting Crown of Locusts as he went, to destroy the bees.  And when he was close enough, he cast Tag, aiming directly behind Caesin to hit Lital as she went to destroy the dragon.

Lital kept her eyes trained on her opponent, ignoring the wooden dragon that roared to life. It snapped at her borg, dealing it B-tier damage, but it did not concern her enough to do more than track its movements from the corner of her eye. Sustaining her Seek insured she would not lost the man. She summoned her Whipping Branch as soon as she saw the dragon begin to form but did not raise it against the dragon. The Tag spell also was blocked by her borg, the small light beams bouncing off the surface. Whipping Branch at the ready, she twirled it around her as she shifted back until she was just inside the range of Caesin’s bite, simultaneously casting Vicious Trees directly behind him, the four trees forming at 25 m/s and immediately attacking the man to inflict C-tier damage, each.

Sustaining both Caesin and Tag, Altair uses his Third Wasp's Dance to deflect the attacks of the trees.  Caesin comes in for yet another attack, followed again by the tag spell.  Then, running at full speed, Altair would put himself in the range of Lital's whip spell, using his own body to block the vine, and allowing Caesin to break her borg.  Once that was finished, and assuming Tag struck home, Altair would cast Alice, immobilizing his opponent.  And once she was unable to move, Altair would finish her off with Slay the Dragon, holding back just enough so as not to kill her.

Lital’s eyes never left Altair and as Caesin came in for another attack, she cast Dome of Life to clash with the wooden dragon, both the dome and the dragon crumpling in a pile of wood as her Whipping Branch slashed at the man attempting to charge her. The Tag spell bounced harmlessly off her borg once more, making her raise an eyebrow. It took only a thought to sustain the Vicious Trees, the creatures moving in front of the running man, their superior speed making sure they came between her and him to try and block his Slay the Dragon, but the ability melted through them like butter and sliced through her borg just as easily, inflicting severe damage to her. Falling to the ground, she collapsed with a groan.
