The Gate

Cimeies: The Gate 6e7djF5

An avalanche rent the earth apart when the Dungeon rose, leaving a thin zig-zagging path over an immense cavern. The path is slippery from water dripping off of stalagmites on the cavern ceiling. Following the icy path leads you deep underground, until a giant door can be seen in the distance. A small gate at the end of the path leads you to a platform at the base of the Dungeon's Entrance. Surrounding the gate is several Imuchakk guards. You must present your ticket to touch the gate.

OOC:
Everyone who wants to enter the dungeon must post in this thread and touch the gate to enter. Anyone who does not have a ticket will be stopped by the Imuchakk Guards. Other players may try to stop and fight here. They may try to steal tickets from those who try to join. Best of luck to you all~

It was time. The past few weeks spent assisting the Imuchakk and his workforce program had finally solidified it enough for Azix to focus on the dungeon. After gathering the equipment he planned on bringing along, Azix wrote a final note to Ariella within the Journey Book. He told her that he was heading into the dungeon and that he wished her luck in her own attempts. He hid the Journey Book within his hut, hoping no one would find it and departed to meet up with Garret.

Azix rendezvoused with his friend, before they followed Asisiak's directions to the Dungeon. Traveling the tundra, they finally found the mouth of the cave that led through a cavernous system deep within the mountain. The slick path zigzagged cut through the cavern, a misplaced foot would send them tumbling down into the black abyss below.

After sometime, they finally reached a platform at the base of the dungeon. Before them stood a ring of Imuchakk guards and behind them stood the Dungeon's gate. Azix gazed at the gate and wondered if this time they would find the power of a Djinn. With a deep inhale, Azix gathered his resolve and stepped forward to meet the guards. He provided them with the ticket that Asisiak had given him and was let through.

He stopped in front of the gate and turned to Garret, "Ready?" Azix wondered if the next time he saw this room, it would be with a newfound power. Shaking the doubts from his mind, he checked to make sure Garret was ready before touching the gate.

As Azix made sure that the workforce was integrating with the community over the past few weeks, Garret was preparing himself for the trials to come. He had trained, learning to use his blade to a much better degree, and re-immersing himself with his past training as well. When the day had come, Azix approaching the Spymaster, he still had much more he wished to learn.

Yet at the same time, Garret knew that he would continue to learn and grow, as he had throughout the course of the years. Pushing his worries aside, Garret followed Azix towards the rent in the ground, descending into the depths. The path was an icy one, and Garret moved carefully to keep his footing. Occasionally he had found himself nearly falling, but managed to catch his stability before actually having any accidents.

When the two had finally reached the cavern at the bottom of the opening, Garret eyed the zig-zagging path with a degree of caution. The two of them weren't in any real danger, as they could simply fly back up once they began falling. Even so, caution was important to the man.

They made it to the gate without mishap, and Garret looked towards Azix when he was asked if he was ready. As ready as I can be... Putting a comforting hand on the Azix's shoulder, to allay the Marquis' own doubts, Garret nodded his head. "Lets go." He watched as Azix touched the door, and was expecting a similar sensation as they had underwent in the past.
