Spoiler:
Lao Mao Seneca10
Name: Lao Mao.
Country Affiliation: Kou.
Race: Pureblooded Fanalis.
Tier: D.
Specialization: Stealth.
Age + Birthdate: 24 years old / July 9th.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Straightsexual.
Personality: Lao Mao is an enigma in regards to his true persona, aside from a malleable stream of adaptation to whatever circumstances suit the situation at hand, with but a few droplets of illogical extremes emerging upon inopportune times occasionally, for he is struck aloof with vices oft plaguing those of Fanalis blood. He can be at times overbearing most dependent on the decks and situation presented forth, muddling his mind with vices that are common in ken to his kin, however Lao strives to remain an insular apparatus of his nature to his own volition, remaining largely aloof and cold as opposed to immediately wrathful and enraged, not to say for a lack of trying that he does not break into fits of it, but, he instead harbors a longer lasting hatred in the form of grudges instead.

He, though, despite his claims of being bonded through slavery to the Kou Empire's citizenry, in fact acts none the part of one domesticated into servitude as property, but acts in a manner of which far too prideful to be considered one as nothing more than livestock. His mannerism, as faux humble as it may be, betrays a sense of deceit and conniving sharpness in him one does not attain from being a servant so much as an astute perceptive hawk looking for slaves in themselves, thus leading to the idea and credence Lao Mao is a practiced orator, when the circumstances permit his brain matter such leeway into composing such, otherwise opted into an engendering substance of vice and debauchery in realms yet unfounded in what is common.

Seemingly Lao doesn't care much for his Fanalis heritage, so much as to declare himself a citizen of the Kou Empire, and taking his pride in that nationality, as opposed to his full powered and blooded ethnicity, and as such, is proud over the vast territory they have attained and the advancement they strove for in a golden age unlike any other, ushered through imperialist dogma and power, but that in itself has been called into question as nothing more than lip service, as for someone so proud of the Kou Empire, he has done so little to benefit the Empire in military service, instead, pursuing agenda far more self-indulgent to his own circumstances.
Likes:

  • Lemonade: It tastes rather fine, and he being a man of taste, prefers to sup upon the fine citrus based nutrient for perhaps a taste of the finest thing out there. Apparently it also doesn't rot quick, and he stores them over time, which helps with finances too.
  • Money: With that much monetary amount he has, it helps to alleviate him in affluence and easing things to be done quicker than usual if one is within a class of have than the have not. The Kou Empire has been generous in that regard, and as a result, he has been endeared to the idea of a meritocratic powerful Empire such as that.
  • Power: Not in the sense of being able to kill people with ease would be defined as power, so much as being able to have weight and gravitas in manner of words and such, to be able to influence things and distort the flow of the natural in place of the unnatural influence, thus changing the very intended destination of whatever seams of fate dictates. For that purpose, he sees changing status quo as the ability that governs power.
  • Domination: To destroy one's will and to assert the sovereignty of one's supremacy is viewed as the acme of excellence, thus diligence with one's skills to Lao. In what manner it can encompass itself is varied, but whatever it may be, Mao is one who tenders the idea of breaking down will itself as but the biggest aspect of domination.
  • Red: It's a colour he likes, 'nuff said.
  • Chaos: The ultimate enabler of evolution, progress, and innovation, where the sparks of man advances forward as they allow passion, heat, and great actions to be shaped by adversity, by allowing them to be defined by the other as the ultimate compete for the prized and famed position of the best. It makes one feel alive in a world so rife with ordered chaos, or chaotic order, where either of them prove insufficient as they are nothing more than compromises. Lao sees chaos as the ultimate freedom anyone could strive for from the shackles of destiny.

Dislikes:

  • Status Quo: It stands against change, and to not change is bad, for it is a sign of order, and a lack of progression.
  • Order: Ultimately another agent of stagnation that deserves to be torn asunder into a thousand pieces. By principle alone, Lao Mao is against complete order to a point of inaction.
  • Slaves: Not so much as hating the institution of slavery, so much as the slaves, Lao despises them as they are inebriated and surrendering to destiny, and others despite having the capability to throw off their bonds. Ultimately, he sees them as people deserving no pity, so much as contempt and scorn. An irony considering Lao Mao.
  • Children: He hates those little cretins with a passion, that death is a preferable alternative towards another moment spent with those waste of human meat sacks wading about with their infantile collection of accumulated pus and other disgusting baby yellow brown of whatever makes up the child.
  • Potatoes: Truly, a vicious fruit that should be quashed wherever they are.
  • Heliohapt: He isn't racist for hating them, well, alright, he is racist for hating them on account of them being composed of spoiled brats, or so Lao Mao's stereotype goes.

Aspirations: To grasp the teats of the fabric of reality and plunge the world into a change of order as a refresher is a fine thing to aspire to, but it's nothing more than a symptom to the ultimate goal of pursuing his loving crafts of stabbing people in the back or the face, and perhaps sharpen his skills as a killer in the shadows. No purpose must be grand or vast, the simple things count sometimes, and he likes to keep things simple, make things up as he goes along.
Phobias/fears: The day that fat people become strong enough to inflict harm, and be able to actually fight on par those physically fit, is the day that Lao Mao will consider the idea of suicide, for at a young age, he has come to loathe, hate, and also fear the massive amount of weight distributed into fat that people term as the pudgy ones, or fat people. He has seen fit to fear the day they become widespread, and as a result, wants his nightmare of them never to come true, as he had almost died at a young age due to a very morbidly obese person tripping and almost flattening Lao Mao under its horrendous weight, vast and heavy enough that no amount of strength from even the famed Fanalis power can overcome. It is as a result of that, he is agitated to want to prevent the day from his nightmare from ever coming true, that nightmare being fat people coming in abundance, and coming strong.
Face-Claim: Seneca + Fate series
Hair Color: Red.
Eye Color: Golden.
Height: 6'2" feet (1.8796m).
Weight: 180 lbs (81kg 646.62g).
Appearance: Of mesomorphic build, rippling with hereditary musclature not too robust with definition, and neither flabby with roundness around his curvature of muscles, he has a healthy mixture of fat and muscles, enough to expend stamina, and enough to actually act out with significant pressure, as per his Fanalis heritage. His build is ultimately Athletic though, despite being mesomorphic, as he isn't thick with slabs of muscles, but toned just right to be flexible. The gait he carries himself being controlled, defined, knowing where he frolicks about as it is obvious he is a well practiced man in the arts of skulduggery. He has spidery fingers, a face with thin stubbles, not cleanly shaven exactly, red hair, and a look of innocence about him. Also tends to wear a set of somewhat loose cotton trousers fastened into a set of black boots inlaid with Kou patterns, and a collarless red shirt encompassed by the sleeves of a garish purple coat with loose sleeves. Has lots of pockets in his attire.
Rukh Alignment: Black.
Special Traits: Nothing of special note can be discerned from Lao Mao.
History: From what is known about Lao Mao, he speaks of being a slave coming from the Great Plains of the Kou Empire, enthralled under a Master's service for a period of five years, as said man was a slaver of dubious origin and practices whom owned a plaza in the outskirts where many of his servants picked out cotton for sales in some perpetual motion of economical addition to his already considerable coffers. That of course remains to be seen as Lao Mao's tales and story are both filled and rife with holes, considering the plaza where he professes to be existent is in fact false.

There is no such plaza, nor slaves, or even evidences of such a building being there, aside from a minor holding that barely qualifies for the prestigious title to such an estate to being a plaza. What IS known however, was that no Fanalis slaves served in such a far away place, nor a transaction even taking place in any records in the Kou Empire within that specific location to the man Lao Mao ill mentions his name. But, the job directory of consensus gathered for information on the Kou Empire reveals that there was a Fanalis that was in the same said area, and he was indeed a slaver, but more importantly, a free man. That said-same Fanalis matched the description of a younger Lao Mao, whom was said to have lost all his property after racking up considerable debts to some mob that he seemed to have a connection to. If such connections were true, it means that Lao Mao's origin is still clouded in mystery, and he'd rather not say, and that he was in fact a notorious slaver known for his ill treatment of his wards. If Lao Mao on the other hand was the truthful one, his tales would be rather spotty at best, and that he was apparently a freed slave, but whichever the case, he is too far away from his supposed place of origin to validate his story given the remoteness of the location provided.

It would, upon modern times, be noted Lao Mao had traveled far and wide, practicing his crafts that are clearly not that of a novice's handspan, but someone of skill within the arts of killing, even more suspiciously similar to a Clan in the same said Plain, notable for taking in orphans and raising them to be killers in the service of the Kou Empire. To remove any nuisance to the Empire, and to act as a hidden hand which sweeps away opposition that dare raise their voice against them. So many suspicious and alleged claims to Lao Mao's origins that it is hard to discern whether true or false, given the sheer fabrication and falsehoods the Fanalis seems to dance into the tune of.

Whatever the case, there is a truth in him actually being raised within a wayward clan of assassins, adopted precisely due to his fullblooded nature, and raised in the ways of the Shewenshi, those that emulate the Serpent and the Snake, and extol all aspects of the limbless reptile as the epitome of either life or death, almost a cult in that regard seconded to their fanaticism to some sort of agenda at accomplishing such ritualistic slaying. Despite that, it was long gone as a result of their practices being counterproductive, where a successor is picked out of the survivor in a grand battle, when the Patriarch is deceased, as per the clan's laws. Such a survivor, being raised among them, a former property, was Lao Mao, but he was not the successor, as he wisely decided to opt out of their barbaric practices and instead, sought to hide, if only to bide his time, and leave, as a result of his wanderlust.

Wandering away, as he was thought dead, Lao Mao never truly dropped their ways, instead, actually embracing that side as he put his skills as a finely tuned human weapon towards gathering slaves within said reputed location, and selling them off, embracing such a depravity to enjoy the fruits of his woeful labour at its fullest. In a manner of which, it was true he was groomed to be an assassin, never fully inducted, and also a slave, now a slaver, but that never lasted long as a result of his spending being too excessive, and he has a lopsided investment as a result which never bore fruit after acquiring many loans on fruitless expeditions. Far too many people were killed than acquired, and his profits did not justify net loss, which as a result, found Lao Mao very quickly deposed of his 'goods', being human livestock, and even his modest holding, till he can acquire enough money to repossess his wares again.

Reaching an agreement with his debtors, he would pay them back, but in truth, had other plans in mind. Wandering as far away as he could to once more start anew again, without ever having to bother with his debt. His assets were more than adequate enough to cover his debts, thus he considered it a loss to cut out and to leave it to them, whatever be the consequences that are. Perhaps going into the new lands, a fertile land in Reim, to serve the Kou Empire, or his own selfish gains, would see him put to the top once more? Time will tell for Lao Mao.
Role-Play Sample: Sitting before a campfire, Lao Mao looks at the rest of the plebeians whom gathered to see the red haired man tell tales of an exotic Empire in the East. One of mystical enchantment and power beyond reckoning professed with such pride, and it piqued their interest as they gathered around. Though unknown to them, they were observed with an astute eye of hawkish gazing, learning of their minute movement, as the assassin himself, the red haired Fanalis, not so known to be anything like a typically brash red haired being of the Dark Continent, to be instead, calm and calculating. Smiling as he told tales, soon, the half dozen men and women gathered and seating around the campfire in the outdoors, fell to the side, limp and without movement. The poison he had put in their drinks had worked his magic, as he had risen to a stand, slowly, but surely, taking great care towards slitting each of their throats in a ritualistic manner, after looting their corpses, before giving prayer to some profane being in the skies in his harsh guttural tongue. Only then, done with his incantation of no mystical effects, would he turn and strive away from the location, as a message to those that incur the wrath of the Serpent.
