◆ The following notes and edits have been made to the ranges in Ability Systems to accurately portray how ranges will be treated and graded. The examples are rough and will be judged based on it and examples of what's possible along with anime flair.

There are four range classifications.

Creation Note: Examples for weapons or feats may be used as justification for ability ranges within reason


Close - This range is defined by attacks that are limited to the distance of your arm/weapon reach. 0m-1m

Short - This range is defined by attacks that reach within a couple steps of the user or with an extended warrior weapon 1m-3m

Medium - This range is defined by distances of a short dash from the lower end or an object thrown with intense force or with the help of a low-tier mid-ranged ammunition weapon. 3m-40m

Long - This range is defined by objects launched by a ranged weapon or stronger spells and unearthly feats. 40m-100m

Extreme - This range is limited to and defined by the few things reaching this far. Capable of hitting the farthest targets with an expert ranged weapon, or even further with siege weapons, powerful spells, and extreme magics. 100m +


◆ The description of Extreme Magic has been updated in order to accurately reflect and update the power of extreme magics. Ranges and sizes are not limited to previous magics but rather examples of natural disasters or things of similar magnitude of power. Some of the elements will come into play into future plot.

◆ Along with this there have been notes added to the Class System for magoi manipulation to clarify disputes and creative aspects of Magoi manipulation. And notes on ability and magic combining to encourage creative writing attempts for dmed threads and so forth in the Combat Systems.

Notes For Magoi Manipulation:

This means split effects will be raised as well, with A-tier magoi manipulation being capable of two A-tier effects. In clashing this means damage only A-tier Magoi abilities will be treated as a tier higher in the clash against other A-tiers, and in the case of two effects non-damaging or non-clashed effects may still apply.

Notes for Combat Systems:
Creation Note: Extreme Magics may be combined if they share a magic type, combining the two spells combining for an additional effect. Combo abilities in general stack and carry damage so it's important to keep this in mind. Multiple A-tier mages of four or more are capable of combining spells to replicate an omega tier spell. ((Plot related situations only))

The Second Bi-Annual Auction has begun, there will be a 24 hour viewing period of shops from this post. Once the period has ended the bidding can begin. The shops will be modded by those who made the items or a staff member in their steed with some general rules.

1. Players may only bid in one shop at a time, once their bid is over, forfeit or bought they may bid in another auction.

2 Players may only bid for one item within a shop

3, 75 percent of all money spent in the auction will go to a lottery for every player who participated whether or not they bought something. The winner of the lottery will earn all of the money.

4. There will be a special Alma Torran Shop in which staff may participate as well, as the items in this shop have plot value and will have to earned in character is well after bought, second highest bid gets a chance if the players who does it fails.

5. Some shops have a secret special item, which will appear for browsing then purchase after every item in the shop has been bought.

6. The Db Auction will come on the 20th with its own set of rules.

7.The amount of Huang you enter a bid on is LOCKED, meaning any Huang you gather after you bid on an item does not count for the thread you posted in.

Along with this, there has been a small change to some magic items in regards to their power. Some magic items have had two functions of their tier or more, like the armors which have had three while some have split their tier across function. After some discussion rather than nerf and lower damage of every tool a new classification known as magic artifacts has been made, in which are magic tools and weapons which have a higher function cost for the sake of stronger functions. it can be read here but these are the following edits to the system to clarify.

Magic Items:
These are utility items that possess preset spells capable of assisting the user in some way. These are rarely offensive spells and almost never deal direct damage to opponents. However, they can change the battlefield in your favor, heal wounds, or otherwise support your character. These do not gain spells over time and only possess magic functions. But they can sometimes possess multiple magic functions. If they possess multiple functions it splits across equaling the total of the item's tier. The Tier of a magic item only changes its durability which can be found in the Items Systems Page.

Magic Artifacts: These are powerful, or more design specific magic tools. What separates these items is their more unique and powerful functions with these items which have a strong impact on combat or plot. These items can have two to three functions equal to their tier because of the higher costs and possible requirements.


Magic Artifacts cost 20 Magoi to Activate | 10 Magoi to sustain

If three functioned the design should generally cutback with a cooldown of 4 posts or potential player/item damage.

Such as a hidden attachment, way of concealing the weapon, unorthodox firing method. Trick weapons may be simple or complex, with multiple functions or just a powerful punch. In simpler terms, a weapon may have multiple tricks or multiple functions to increase the power of one trick.

◆ A new addition to the systems at hand in Fate's Fortune. Ascension Of The Body is basically the stamina version of Blessing Of The Rukh. Upon the purchase of this will grant the person a permanent boost of 50 stamina.  in addition to this, there is a ratio block that prevents characters of certain races that dominate the spread of that reserve. In this case, Fanalis will be unable to purchase this.. With the introduction of Ascension Of Body, players can now only purchase one of these permanent boosts, they cannot have both.  For those who have already purchased Blessing Of The Rukh,  you can post in the Ascension Of Body thread with a link to your blessing's purchase and state that you would like to opt-out.  This is a done deal that will switch you from blessings to ascension for no extra cost. You will not be able to switch back, please think very critically about your decision.

◆ Wordcounts have been changed here in Djinn systems for training between ranks and here for magic weapons here so that their abilities are now equal to tier in training.

◆ A-tier ability vouchers have been added, they cost 30k Huang and cannot be used for Magic weapon abilities or djinn/household abilities.

◆ Status effects have finally been listed in the Ability Systems, future effects will be added, along with details and potential limitations, likely to have more updates in the futures.

Status Effect Update:
Status Effects

This a collection of existing status effects, effects from supplementary abilities that may have varying degrees of play or uses on players

Damaging Effects: These are all different types of damage that may affect the body in different ways but all generally do damage over a set amount of posts equal to the abilities tier, damage should split between the posts being equal to the tier.

D-tier: 1 post
C-tier: 2 posts
B-tier: 3 posts
A-tier: 4 posts
Ω-Tier: 5 posts

Poison: Destroys the body through various means, attacking flesh material and attack organs
Acid: Burns away, slowly melting things over time.
Decay: Causes bio-material to be broken down slowly through natural, or unnatural processes
Burning: Fire damage done over time, slowly applying its effects to a player
Bleeding: Damage that opens a wound or vein causing a player to damage over time through blood loss
Shock: Electricity stays dormant in a players veins, causing jolts to harm them peridoically
Radiation: Through the breakdown of molecules radiation poisons over time, sickening the body or breaking down what it can.

Non-Damaging Effects: These are effects that have different applications on people's bodies or potentially other things as well. Their durations are the same as damaging effects how long the last with differing rules for some based on parts rules or balance.

Paralyze / Stun: Prevents the use of limb use for the duration, with 1 Limb at D-tier, two at C-tier, three at B-tier and full body at A-tier.
Disorientation / Confusion: Causes those under the effect to react slower in character or have trouble performing actions as efficiently.
Sleep / Drowsiness: Lowers players focus, causing them to lose the ability to keep their eyes open, it as at A-tier in effect that a player falls asleep, they may only sleep one post like an interrupt, and can be awoken by an outside force on their body.
Blind: Takes away the player's vision for a certain amount of time.
Numb: For the duration, the user is unable to feel anything or sense anything through touch.
Deafen: The players is unable to perceive sounds
Mute: The player is unable to produce sounds through their voice
Weaken ( DMG - or DEF - ): Decrease the damage of a player, attack or defense for the duration.
Slow ( SPD - ): Decrease the movement speed of something for the duration of the effect.



Support Effects:

Strengthen ( DMG + or DEF + ): Raise the damage of a player, attack or defense for the duration.
Quicken ( SPD + ): Raise the movement speed of the creature for the duration of the effect.


◆ Edits and notes have been added to the class systems about beast traits and edits to the trait system to better detail how to get traits.

◆ Class respect potions have been added to fate's fortune, as the idea is new there potential changes or balances to come regarding lost abilities upon class switching. They can be found here

◆ Travel systems have been updated here As a summary to the edits, Meridia has been included for wordcount amounts for its region, the region you start in no longer counts towards your travel amount cutting down most wordcounts by 200 words. Along with this a travel tracker thread has been included here for players so we know what roleplayers areas people are in, its also where travel threads will be posted for approval from now on.

◆ Magoi manipulation has now been unlocked at C-tier for one ability which B-tier getting two abilities. Along with this magicians may register combo magic spells for C-tier abilities or higher. The class system has been edited here and here to show it in the classes and here in the ability systems for edits to examples to showcase what magicians are capable of with combos and warriors with magoi manipulation.

◆ A small edit to the combat systems has been made here towards clashing putting the word (damage) next to potency, to show that having raised damage does clash even if the initial ability was originally lower tier.

◆ All of the site's events will be gathered into a timeline. For the sake of events from now on 6 months IRL time = 1 year IC time. While this can help players track progression you are not required to age your character and can still roleplay with liquid time within your own plots and such. The timeline will be included in next update.

This is our one of biggest updates yet to site information so much that we are splitting it into two parts. The World-Class update Part 1

◆ After months of planning, and of editing a deciding we have commissioned a new site map to be made. We recognize our site is different and changing, so in order to represent new opportunities some new lands have been added as well, not all of them are as easy to get to as they seem, but the plot opportunities they now open will be available for players to work for. The new world map can be found here

◆ Along with this, We have also included updates to every single country page, including adding two new counties Meridia and Tartarus. Part 2 of the update will include adding the Kina Country Page, along with adding nation-specific maps to their country pages to understand their territories better. The biggest part of it is that part 2 will add links to all the nation's factions, leading to detailed pages.

◆ Each Nation now has detailed benefits for working towards higher tier plot goals within the nations and so forth. There are some ideas for wanderer perks but those will be included later in the week with a few other things coming in the part 1 update, such as news pages for nations without, and plot posts for those nations.

◆ We have also added some general detailed omega paths for players who wish to stray away from their affiliated countries' goals. I have placed it here in the wall of omega.

◆ Later in the week in the week expect part 1 of the update to wrap up with The Official Site Timeline for major events, and a few other things staff have been working on for the quality of the site and system.

Keep in mind, these changes are subject to alterations in the near future.

◆ Just a small hotfix for Magician in the Class Systems which adds some guidelines regarding borg spells:
The borg is a protective barrier formed by the rukh in order to defend a magician against harm with ill intent. The borg will activate on its own, but can also be activated and controlled at will or even suppressed to prevent its activation. Each magician will receive the basic borg ability which ranks up as their class does. A Magician may create spells for their borg starting at A Tier. These could be utilized to detect ill intent in others, amplify its defensive capabilities, or even manipulate it to use offensively. The guidelines for these are as follows:

  • A borg will retain its ability to defend against equivalent damage to the tier of their class. The spell exists to further enhance it by manipulating it in different ways and the additional effects it grants are equivalent to the tier of the ability.
  • If a Magician's borg is broken or unable to activate under any circumstance, the spell is unable to be used. The spell may not be cast if the borg is not active.
  • While the borg spell may be scaled, it can not be sustained. The cooldown and cost of the spell follows basic ability rules.

◆ Another hotfix for the Magic System which clarifies information regarding combination magic:
Spells utilizing combination magic must be C Tier or higher. Any combination magic type utilized in a spell composed of three or more types must be at least B Tier
◆ In addition to the above change, a few combination magic types have been added to the list. If there are any missing on this list, please contact me so they may be added.
