This had indeed been a really weird day. The regular employers that gave work to Farah refused to see him. He couldn’t understand what the reasoning behind it was, but he didn’t quite preoccupy about it either. He knew he’d eventually find a request to do that day, sooner or later. Apparently a gang of people had been spreading nasty rumors about him, making the majority of the people that would have considered on giving him job grow weary and scared. They spoke about the brutal strength of the merciless cold blooded killer Farah. They spoke about the strength and speed of a demon that destroyed his enemies without a single hint of pitty. Farah wasn’t mad at all to be honest, since he thought all these adjectives were fitting for his strength. He proudly accepted the fact that no man wanted to give him job that day.

While he wandered aimlessly through the streets, a “psssst” caught his attention. It was subtle, but he was sure he heard it. The sound came from a dark alley that was near him. Even though other people would be wary of following such a suspicious sound, Farah wasn’t afraid of what he could find. As he made his way into the alley he could distinguish a single figure in the dark. “You look like a man looking for a job huh?” Farah smirked at his stroke of luck. “Yeah, what can you offer me?” he replied. “Well, it’s a pretty easy task… All you need to do is steal some sacks of Gold Sand from a cargo coming to town soon and get your reward.” Farah had to admit he didn’t expect the job’s nature to be illegal, but here it was. The only job offer of the day. He had a long thought on it. However, he finally decided that life wasn’t life with a few risks on it. Either way, he swore to himself that this would be the only time he’d agree to do an illegal job. The suspicious man smiled excitedly when he agreed to work with him. After a few minutes he briefed him on the caravan’s information and off he went. He kept notice of the caravan from afar. He trailed the cargo for a few hours waiting for the perfect chance to strike. Ready for the perfect opening. Once they stopped in an oasis to refreshen themselves he walked out of his hiding place.

Farah was beginning to like the thrills of this. However, and as he had sworn to himself at the moment he accepted this request, this was a one time thing. He didn’t plan on suddenly becoming a rouge thief, which as stated before was infinitely ironic. If something he had come to hate during all his requests, was the amount of thieves he had to deal with. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy a good fight, but the number of thieves that looked more and more generic with the next one was simply absurd. Either way, it was the red haired man the one that found himself cornered in those moments. This so called Gold Sand better be worth his troubles. Five of the guards now circled him, three of them carried spears whereas only two of them held swords in hand. For the looks of it, the sharpness of the weapons and the caliber of the steel weren’t something to be wary about. Farah simply took a deep breath as he pleaded forgiveness for the five lives he was about to take. However, there was something inside him that knew he didn’t care. The scary part about it was that it was true. He immediately dashed at one of the spearmen, feinting an attack that managed it to create an opening. However, instead of taking advantage of this, Farah leaped above him with a backflip, landing behind him with a powerful slash directly through his shoulder blades. However Farah wasn’t done. He grabbed the guard by the other shoulder and threw him at the swordsman in front of him. At the same time, both remaining spearmen attacked him at the same time, one from the right and one from the left. Farah focused in their attacks and analyzed their trajectory. With a swift movement of Kaysir Al-Fiqar, he managed to parry both attacks and alter slightly their course. The blade of both spears met flesh and blood in the end, but not Farah’s but their own. The deviation of trajectory managed to make both remaining spearmen pierce each other’s chests. However, to make sure they were done for, Farah sliced their abdominal area with a single spinning movement.

By this heights, the two remaining swordsmen were up the ground and now charged towards Farah. He was ready though, and the flurry of thrusts that they sent at him were avoided one by one. He parried the first one with his sword by meeting it, tilting the blade to the right side as it made contact with the enemy steel knocking both thrusts off course. He used this opening to thrust himself into one of the swordsmen arm. The blade hit the nerve of the elbow, immobilizing entirely the arm with which one of the swordsmen swung its blade. Meanwhile, the other enemy had regained his balance and now slashed the air directing a diagonal attack at Farah. The red haired man swung his own scimitar towards the attack with strength, knocking it out of course. Using the remaining momentum, Farah double slashed the man’s torso forming an X in his chest. Taking his attention back to the immobilized swordsman he swung his weapon at him stabbing him in the neck. All four enemies were now done for. The only remaining one was the first spearmen that painfully tried to stand up. The previous attack had certainly wounded him, and he could barely manage to rise his upper part of the body. Farah kicked his face before he could even react. The leg directly impacted its target as the sound of breaking bones filled the surrounding area. Farah had just killed the 5 guards and he didn’t regret it. In fact, he might even say he enjoyed it.

The red haired man took the bags of gold sand as he made his way out of the place and claimed his reward. It had been his first and last experience as a thief, but he really did have to admit he was really good.
