The Gate: Entrance [Caim] Untitled-2_zps8cb4d84f

Hidden deep within the dunes of The Desert of Forgotten Souls, another large building has appeared seemingly from no where. Visible from from any outpost or oasis, this dungeon stands in the heart of the forsaken sands at least a days travel from the nearest water supply. Just getting here is a dangerous enough task on it's own! The structure takes the form of a large tower made from what appears to be bone. Many bone growths branch out from the tower and all of them appear to be sharpened into wicked blades. The unique shape causes the winds blowing past the dungeon to wail and moan. Anyone within 50m of the dungeon will be able to hear these noises and the sound as if the dead are in agony. At the base of the great tower is a single large door big enough for an elephant to pass through. There are no visible hinges or places for this mysterious gate to be opened with however all it takes is a single touch for the dungeon's maw to drag weary travellers in.

There is an elite group of soldiers surrounding the dungeon dressed in Heliohaptan uniforms. They were sent by the Pharaoh to ensure no unwanted guests attempted to capture the dungeon. At the edge of the formation is a tent casting precious shade from the sun and keeping the sandy winds at bay. Within the tent is a small desk covered in papers as an old man poured over them placing stamps and signatures as he went. This man was usually in the palace doing all this paper work, but few others were trusted with the job he had today. Ensure that anyone arriving claiming they had a ticket was carrying a legitimate document. One must stop here and get the old man's approval before the soldiers behind his tent would allow anyone safe passage to the gate.

Dynatos, Ares, Athena, and Raizel that was the group for todays adventure. Dynatos had just recently come across Athena and was happy to have her, and even more so Ares had a new friend who could relay what he wanted to say to Dynatos or anyone else who was curious to know. The duo had become a trio and Ares could not ask for anymore. Dynatos looked between his three companions and then back to the sky ripping tower. It was massive and almost bone like. They had been flying throught the air on the carpet for a hour and were finally close to their destination. Dynatos felt his goals an dreams were right within reach. "Just a little more. I have to do my best. Even if we don't make I have to make sure they are safe." The words replayed over and over in his head. The closer they got the more the sounds of groans and moans became more and more apparent. Ares cocked his head to the left at the dungeon and the noises to produced, causing Athena to laugh. The group finally got to the tower and saw Heliohapt Soldiers. Dynatos landed the carpet and rolled it up. He appraoched the guards and showed them the ticket. "He is with me." He was refferring to Raizel. They allowed them to pass and led them to the genral tasked with overseeing the dungeon. Ares was close behind Dynatos and Athena was riding Ares.

Raizel was out in the desert of the forgotten souls to explore. He has seen a tall building in the center of it, and he's always wondered about this. Today, he decided to approach it. As he got closer to the tower, he could hear the sound in the air change; he could hear wailing and moans, which adds to the creepiness of this place. Slowly as he continued walking, he saw an unbelievable sight; bone thorns as sharp as blades surrounding the area. As he squatted down and tried to squint his eyes to have a better look at the tower, he was interrupted by a man name Dynatos. Dynatos then asked what he was doing here, and Raizel said he was curious about the tower. Dynatos smiled, and invited Raizel to follow him as he approached the tower. Raizel accepted the invitation. Dynatos is a best tamer, who had a fairy and a huge lion-looking beast with him. Raizel could feel that Dynatos is a strong person, one that could fight off most opponents.

As he followed Dynatos, they soon met with the opposition of the thorns. Dynatos took out a carpet and invited Raizel to sit on it. After everyone sat on it, the carpet started levitating and fly over the thorns. This shocked Raizel, since he never thought flying carpets were real. As the approached the tower, he could see the tower just nearby, but it was guarded by Heliohapt's guards. Finally, after making their way over the thorns, the magic carpet landed, and they all got off. As he continued to follow Dynatos, who gave the guards a letter, and told them that Raizel was coming with him. Raizel was happy when Dynatos said that. Raizel had always wondered what this tower is, and he'll soon uncover what it is. He had read a lot about dungeons, but he never believed them to be true. "Time to find out whether the legend books are real."

The old man was drinking down a nice refreshing cup of water from and overly ornate goblet when Dynatos and his companions arrived. Unfortunately the old man had no intentions of sharing the precious liquid but at least he was polite about doing his job. The elderly Heliohaptan smiled and stood from his seat as he greeted the hopeful dungeon capturers. "Greetings Travellers. Come to challenge the dungeon have you?" He rubbed his hands and dollar signs appeared in his eyes as the man thought about how much money these tickets were raking into the Pharaoh's coffers. The reason behind his politeness became painfully clear and disappointingly corrupt as he made a big toothy grin revealing a few gold teeth. "Excellent, this appears to be the genuine article. You may enter. The old man made a bow and muttered under his breath quietly, "Thank you for your patronage~"

The guards raised their spears and parted their formation granting Dynatos and company passage to the gate.

[You both have to touch the gate now to enter the Dungeon]

As Dynatos approached the leader of this group of Heliohapt Soldiers he realized that it was a old man. The man turned to Dynatos and the others and the greed in his heart was all to obvious as he realized that they wanted to enter the dungeon. Dynatos shook off the thought of this man being corrupt because most of the older and even a lot of the younger Heliohapt Masters were in fact corrupt. Dynatos was not trying to talk to the man so he didn't; he was only here for the dungeon. The man authenticated the tickets and allowed them to pass to the dungeon. Dynatos appraoched it and awed at the magnificent door before them. Athena gripped tightly to Ares as she rode him. “Alright everyone, here we go!” Dynatos placed his hands on the dungeon door like Yakuroro had told him. “I think this is wha-”

(ooc:my words were intruppted by the dungeon taking us in. I'll finish his dialogue in the next post.)

After Dyna passed the notes to the guard, they were lead into the tent, where an old man was. The old man was grumpy, until he realized they were going to enter the dungeon. After noticing that, his mood suddenly changed, and he acted kind to them. “Heh, so that’s how corrupt the government of Heliohapt has become. The pharaoh has been too nice to his people….too nice…” thought Raizel. As he received the letters, the man went through it before smiling and ordered the guards to allow them through. He then wished them luck, while rubbing his hands, openly showing his greed. Raizel then followed Dyna through, and touched the gate together with him, “Good luck to the both of us-” Before he could finish his sentence, he was teleported away.

The moment the two men touched the gate it would violently pull them inside as if the great tower were devouring them. A great flash of light would prelude the appearance of a large golden tube of light. All signs of the Heliohapt soldiers and the desert were gone and now Raizel and Dynatos were simply falling through this golden tube as it snaked is way through space. When the tunnel finally opened up there would be an unbelievable sight of the planet in it's blue glory sitting there in space slowly turning. There were many beams of light shooting out into oblivion from the planet and as one of these beams reached the men it would swallow them whole much like the dungeon had. For a time there would only be black however once the men awakened they would find themselves inside the dungeon's main hall.

As Altair approached the Dungeon, he could hear the screaming winds coursing over the rocks. The noise was rather unsettling, but Altair kept going. He had come with his friend, Diego, and together they were going to conquer this dungeon. Lives depended on their success. Altair walked towards the circle of guards standing around the dungeon, preventing anyone from entering. well, anyone who hadn't bought the hefty ticket anyways. "Once we are inside the dungeon, we need to make sure we don't get split up. that will be the death of us. don't worry though. between the two of us, there's nothing we can't handle." He said to Diego. Altair didn't actually know if they would even start in the same place, but he had to say something to break the eerieness of the dungeon's entrance. He walked up to a guard with several gold teeth. "Two for the dungeon. Myself, and my partner Diego here, along with his companions." He hoped there wouldn't be any kind of trickery up front. But then again, to these men, this would be the last time they would ever see them.

The sounds of the moaning dead, lingered on the air as it sent fragments of sand writhing to their tune. Diego walked closer to Altair, a little worried, rubbing Trixie's neck to calm her down. Zanzibar, the white spider Shura had given him, clung to Trixie's back as it's furry mandibles wiggled. "Squee~"

They approached a group of Heliohapt's elite soldiers, the men looking fierce, and Altair broke the eerie silence. "Once we are inside the dungeon, we need to make sure we don't get split up. that will be the death of us. don't worry though. between the two of us, there's nothing we can't handle."

Diego nodded, letting Altair move in front to show his tickets, "Two for the dungeon. Myself, and my partner Diego here, along with his companions."

Diego took a deep breath, his mind remembered the mantras he had learned with archery, chanting them to calm his nervousness. He idly ran his fingers along the string of his bow that hung off his shoulder. Two set of quivers, their straps braided together, hung off his other shoulder. Draw. Nock. Aim. Breath. Loose. He chanted it through his head, his body visibly relaxing. He cleared his thoughts and found his determination, catching Trixie's eye.

The next challenger's were welcomed with an equal amount of avarice filled smiles and greedy hand rubbing. Aaaaah! Excellent, so soon and we've already got another pair of brave young patrons. The elderly Heliohaptan intentionally let it slip that someone else had already entered the dungeon not too long ago thinking it would make them eager to show their ticket. When Altair produced the small contract which promised a large expense had been paid to the Pharaoh, money bags filled the geezer's eyes once more and he made the same toothy grin which showed off the gold and pearly chompers. "Yes, this is certainly a dungeon ticket! Enter and test your fate young men." The old man bowed and the guards parted for Altair and Diego as well as the large group of beasts. They had their doubts about all the strange creatures people were bringing along with them today, but none said a word as the next party moved to challenge Caim.
