After listening to Old Man Elda's request, Namir was making good time to where the traveler in need had sent him. If these white wolves were as ferocious as some of its native kin on the Dark Continent then the red haired combat beast would have some fun for a chance. He wondered how large of fangs these things had, and if they were much bigger than him. Well there was no need to think over the matter, he’d just have to see for himself in person. The excitement of the hunt had Namir’s heart racing, and so his pace sped up considerably, nimbly trudging through the grass at his full speed.
In the distance, the cliffs that Old man Elda had described to him were coming into view. And surely enough a grove of trees surrounded the area. Approaching the tree line, now in a silent creep, the Fanalis leaped into a nearby tree and proceeded as such toward the cliff pass. It was a narrow cavern roughly 4 meters wide to varying degree. The rocks were worn and looked to have been split by an unnatural force. But a trail cut through them which helped expedite travel through this particular route.
The smell of blood filled Namir’s nose and the sounds of snarling and tearing of flesh could be heard from the echoes of the cavern. Making his way to the top of the 20 foot steep cliff he could see the poor Camel, dead and in pieces as two massive white shaggy furred wolves tore apart its carcass. Survival of the fittest at its best, it was now Namir’s time to prey. He contemplated the best strategy for taking on his prey for they hadn’t noticed him above yet. His eyes peeled at the sheer drop, it was nothing for him to leap down and strike with sheer might, but there were two of them, things might get a little messy if he didn’t separate them.
The idea magically came to his head, he could use his whip. The gist of it was to latch onto one of the wolves and send it flying away, leaving the other open for a full on skyward assault. It was perfect. All that was left was to get closer and rope in his prey. He sidled his way over the cliffside carefully, cautious not to alert the vicious wolves of his approach. He came within 13 or so feet of them, down the cliff face while he unhooked his whip- Cat-Tail –from his waist.
The wolves noticed his presence and peered up at him with growling maws, in that instant with a snap of his wrist he cracked the whip through the air and it stung and wrapped around the nearest wolves leg. Whilst holding onto the wall face, Namir thrust his arm skyward and sent the wolf helplessly along the path the whip now took. The massive white wolf, two times bigger than he was went hurdling helplessly straight upward into the air above Namir and even above the cliffs. It was a magnificent maneuver. Now all that was left was to eliminate the other wolf in one single blow. Easy enough.
